“So after being in New Jersey and going to about 8 bagel shops, I guess this is the one. So... I pull up and the first thing you will notice, parking is an issue. Luckily, people are coming and going so it took around 5 minutes to attain a parking spot. From the look of things, there may have been a parking lot in front of thee establishment before but it would seem that they decided to fill the parking lot with outdoor seating. From speaking to a patron, I understand because he told me that he always walks to the place. So on a nice day, I suppose the outdoor seating is great. You go inside and it's a small space and they have a few tables and chairs inside as well.

Inside and I'm in a line. Probably about 8 people ahead of me. I'm already thinking that these bagels must be damn good. Took about 10 minutes until I put my order in. In total I spent about 25 minutes at this spot. As I'm leaving, there are more people in line than when I got there. Just from seeing the bagels, they look soft and fresh. Just happy to have found the place. I get home and the bagels are just as good as they look. This clean bagel shop comes highly recommended and will be back! Great job guys!“

By any regular metric, this is a 5/5. Unfortunately, this is New York. More unfortunately, they have a Michelin star. Thus, they must be judged within the strata in which they belong.

The ingredients were FRESH. This is their calling card. The carrots, the squash, the beets, the buckwheat. Kudos to their souring.

The meal is an imbalanced (to me and my table). We were craving protein, and this place highlights the produce. I will say the tastiest dish was a non meat course (mushrooms in a dashi broth)

Not top of my list, but massive respect to what they serve and what they represent.“

“I made a reservation here for a work dinner. The ambiance was super nice. Friendly, helpful service the whole time and amazing food. I think we got close to one of everything on the drink, appetizer and entree menus. My favorites were the rosemary margarita, shoestring fries, spicy sausage pizza, butternut squash ravioli, and the hangar steak. There was some kind of mint salad that was super good. I haven't ever tasted a salad like that before, so it was a cool experience. We did everything family style with a few people ordering pork chops or a cheeseburger for themselves. The total with all 8 of us getting multiple drinks and tons of apps + entrees shared between us plus tax and tip was $810, which is more than fair for how much we ate + drank and how good the food and service was. Will definitely come back or recommend to anyone looking for a location to host a work/birthday/celebratory dinner or date.“

“This place is astoundingly good from top to bottom. The hostess Carla was amazing. Our server was next level. The clams casino is one of the best dishes I’ve had in my twenty years in New York hands down. Don’t sleep on the prawns or the lobster orzo. My only complaint possible is the portions are a little small but GOD DANG are they delicious. The burger is very tasty but maybe not worth the price but everything else is truly unfathomably scrumptious. Been here twice now. Plan on being back as much as my wallet can handle it.“

“A fun place with interesting people watching but I came alone hoping to sit at the bar and was expecting and comfortable with waiting for an hour since it was as a Saturday (it was 6pm but that wasn’t early enough), but they were not sitting solo diners and instead would wait for seats next to each other to open up to sit couples, at one point leaving and open seat available for about 20 minutes.“

“Holy cow! We just had the Restaurant Week Bento Box lunch from 232 Bleecker and it was just out of this world. Hands down the best meal we've had since the pandemic started. The way Chef Cupps teases the flavor out of vegetables and meats is just astounding. We are in heaven! We also ordered from 232 Bleecker on Christmas Eve, and the food was once again incredible. We are huge fans of Chef Cupps. She previously cooked at UnTitled at the Whitney which was our favorite restaurant in NYC. “I stopped by on a Thursday evening around 6pm and was surprised by how lively it was, clearly a popular spot! The only seat available was near the entrance, so I felt the occasional gust of cold air when the door opened, but that just speaks to how busy they were.
I don’t drink alcohol, so I can’t speak to the drinks, but I ordered the burger and it was excellent. The fries were just as impressive, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Even though I didn’t get to fully take in the ambiance since I was seated by the door, I still had a really positive experience overall.

“My husband and I dined here during our visit to NYC. We came from the Cincinnati area and it was our first visit to the city. When planning the trip, Colonie caught my eye so we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did, because it quickly turned into the absolute highlight of our trip and was an evening we won’t forget. The service is outstanding - each individual host made us feel like family. We were never short beverages, and our space at the chefs table was kept tidy at all times - no empty plates left behind. The sous chefs are impossibly talented at what they do and gave every single plate attention and care before it left their sight. The place is cozy, with covered outdoor seating.
We ordered the mushroom and leek gratin, the chicories hazelnut salad and scallops and every thing was incredibly delicious! The gratin was creamy and rich, the salad very flavorful with a perfectly balanced dressing and the scallops so buttery.

“We were in from out of town, staying in New Jersey as our home base for day trips into NYC. On our first night we drove to Hamilton Park to take in views of the skyline, and then were looking for a place to eat with our two nieces. We found Fork Hill Kitchen and are so glad we did. We did not have reservations, but arriving around 5:30, they were able to accommodate our party of 4 and seat us right away. The food, drinks, ambiance, and service were all top notch. The gentleman that showed us to our seat was charming and when he found out we were in from out of town, he chatted with us for a bit, and made us feel so welcome. We each got a different dessert and everyone raved about theirs. Just a really lovely, cozy, welcoming place, with delicious food. Thanks for a great first night of our magical December NYC trip!“
