“As soon as we entered the restaurant, my buddy and I got taken care of, the food was really good and the service was amazing thank you everyone on Johnny's pizzeria I will definitely visit again!Parking: Free parking if you do find one, if you don't you're going to have to pay or worse park your car far away!“
“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
“We really enjoyed our experience at Kimika. The cocktails were amazing - unique with great flavors. I loved the kaga milk punch, shishitorita and the unami in kenmare.Dishes are a fusion of Japanese flavors in Italian style dishes, such as the sticky rice arancini served on a Japanese curry sauce. Other menu highlights were the tuna tartare, hamachi collar, truffle carbonara, rigatoni, and the steak.Dont miss the yakult soft serve for dessert!Staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were seated in a back room which felt private with so much space on the large tables.“
“Food was incredible, but the service wasn’t the greatest. Our first waiter was lackluster, but the second waiter was great. Also the receptionist was a bit rude. Other than that, I’m still thinking about the espresso martini and oysters - they’re amazing!“
“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“
“A very good Italian address! Thin and delicious pizzas, be careful they are very large, in the photos they are the small ones! Possibility of having a half & half pizza: one recipe on one half, and a second on the other. Very friendly service. Booking is recommended !Vegetarian options: Lots of meatless pizzas“
“Order: broccoli, brown butter, buffalo mozzarella, rigatoni, olive oil + pistachio ice creamVerdict: first and foremost, just an awesome waitstaff. Effortless but nice. The pastas are totally fine, but honestly one note. Felt similarly about Lilia so no real change. The gelato was Excellent though. Only thing I'd come back for is the desert.“
“Anelle was AMAZING! Truly one of the most remarkable service and food experiences I’ve had in NYC- every single course was an absolute smash hit and a transportation to Tuscany. This is the type of meal that you want when you want something truly, really special. Core memory while living in NYC. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you to the entire staff!!Dietary restrictions: They are so accommodating to any dietary needs, and totally create the menu around your needs!“
“Decided on this place for a business lunch a few weeks ago and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and food. The lunch portions were more than reasonable as was the pricing. For a dinner lunch, it is definitely a bit less formal due to the seating arrangements, but for a casual client lunch, this spot was pretty great. I'd definitely go here with my team or on my own as it was worth the visit.“
“Best tasting wedding cake I have ever had! Flowers and cake topper are from other vendors. The cake was truly a sight to behold, all of it edible and delicious! The communication was not the smoothest but you really cannot beat the quality of the cake.“
“The place is nice, it smells like smoked food indoors which I don’t enjoy a lot but if you’re ok with that scent, the place is warm. A little snob, but maybe that’s the vibe they want to share around. We had reservation but it was delayed, and we couldn’t have a drink while we’re waiting. The food was tasty, but not crazy to wait for delays. However, the place is cute if you don’t mind those details. Some people of the staff, great, others a little snobby and not friendly. Extremely loud place too, if you like to have a conversation, it’s not the kind of place I would recommend. You should try it at least once to find out tho, maybe it’s fine for you. I like lively places but not the ones with such much noise that you can’t hear the person next to you.“
“Excellent food and service. I am a visitor in NYC and was referred to the restaurant by friends who had all good things to say about their experience. We are so happy we went there for dinner. The duck was delicious. The pasta was delicious, the sauce was sooo good. We will be back again. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. As an added plus, Gabriele greets his customers, and that made it extra special when he checked in on our table.“
“Fun food hall and mercantile for all. Great if you have multiple people looking for different types of food, looking for a fun higher-end casual date night, or dividing and conquering to go find yummy takeout to go enjoy with a group out on Pier 17.Plenty of tasty options, fresh ingredients, and NYC goodies to purchase.“
“We were in town visiting our son, who lives in Greenwich Village, and he recommended Maestro Pasta as he had recently dined there. We loved it so much…the atmosphere, the food, the service…we went back a second time in the same week. I know it’s crazy. Of all the restaurant choices there are in NYC, we couldn’t get that freshly made pasta off our minds and had to go back. The swing seating by the tables is a very special touch. Alessandro, the owner, is amazing… so friendly and personable. We’ll definitely go back there every time we visit. Still can’t get that pasta off my mind.“
“You have to remember that when you dine in a Michelin star you will be paying a big price for tiny portions. So all that aside the food itself was truly amazing. You must get the gnocchi fritto. The bread is pillowy soft, not greasy at all and pairs so well with the salty proscuitto. I was most excited about the uovo ravioli and tbh it was a bit disappointing but I think this was just a personal preference because of all accts it should be a perfect dish. You need to be prepared to go all out because otherwise you will leave hungry.“
“what an incredible experience. the place is packed all night long and serving the best squid ink pasta i’ve had. strachiatella and fig toast along with the mushrooms are essential too. the cheesecake for dessert hit home. fabulous wine list too. must go!“
“we thoroughly enjoyed eating here! we were a group of 30 and they seated us in their outdoor patio. the owner pointed out which items on the menu are halal and was so accommodating for our group! the entire experience was smooth. service was fast and they were so friendly. i’m going to be a regular here!!!“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“Ever since Village Crown closed I have missed a truly satisfying kosher restaurant...and now that I am vegan the challenge is greater. I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. These were the highlights of a memorable dining experience in a charming place.“
“Worth the wait. They don't take reservations, so scoring a table isn't for the faint. I got lucky with a great bar seat at lunch time. Food was amazing as promised. Cacio Pepe was REALLY good. Great staff. Pretty interior. I'd say it's a great date spot.“
“Without a doubt one of the most authentic Italians I have eaten at. The menu wasn’t overwhelming and all starters and mains were extremely high quality. The portion sizes were perfect and a special mention for our waiter Hector who was amazing and made our visit easy and enjoyable.“
“First time I went to Fasano and I’m obsessed. The Bluefin tuna was simply exquisite!! Mind blowing! Its delicate flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture made it a true culinary delight! Needless to say, I'm already planning my next visit just to get that incredible dish again. ><>•••“
“This was our first time and we had an incredible experience. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the ambiance set the ideal mood to enjoy the experience. The duck and the agnolotti were particular standouts that were quickly added to our “best in the city” list. We will be regulars from here on out!“
“I grabbed dinner here and it did not disappoint. This was a cute and cozy spot just a few steps from the L train. For cocktails, I started with the Spicy Mezcal Marg. It wasn't my favorite, as I expected it to be spicier, since Szechuan peppercorn and Calabrian chili were some of the ingredients used. My next drink was the Hugo Spritz, which was amazing!! It made up for the first drink: it was refreshing and sweet (but not too sweet). For apps, we had the Rye Pita and hummus. Now let me just say, I am not a hummus girlie, but the hummus here was so flavorful and smooth. It wasn't gritty as I have experienced in the past. It definitely paired well with the pita. The star of the show was the Lahmajun, which is sort of like a pizza (without cheese) with lamb. I was pleasantly surprised. The lamb, the herbs & spices were just so delicious. Our server told us to dip it in the hummus and I had no regrets. We also had the braised chicken thigh, which felt very much like comfort food. The chicken was seasoned generously and cooked to perfection. We also had the lamb meatballs, which were so tender. The pairing with pomegranate really brought the flavors out. Overall, I definitely unlocked some new tastebuds here lol. I would return again for the Lahmajun alone! Service was exceptional as well :)“
“Best tip: dinner and try the braised artichhokes. Not sure I want to tell many people about this place or it will become even harder to get a reservation like Don Angie or Rezdora. We were very surprised by all the dishes. The braised artichoke though was amazing, flavorful and unique. We only had the pasta and they were great (tortellini and the verse ragu).Although I must say the ambiance is a bit louder than I would typically enjoy so be prepared to a more lively and noisy dining than usual. Definitely more casual than those I mentioned - but the food is worth it.“
“It's very nostalgic and authentically retro in the space, despite being crowded it's quiet. Great service without trying too hard. Brunch was good but not exceptional, Dessert was a dream. So so good and the menu is filled with traditional favorites which I appreciate. I enjoyed people watching and the general feeling of old New York was so comforting. For me it was a splurge and worth it for the atmosphere and dessert.“
“Hands down best fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had, as well as the best red sauce on the lobster ravioli. The atmosphere was immaculate, with classic Italian music playing outside over the patio. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was cheap for lunch. However, dinner options are around $20-$30 per person. We were looking for somewhere to eat and many waiters were asking us to dine at their establishments as we walked through the neighborhood. We were drawn in by Mr. Ayman and one of the waiters. Mr. Ayman was an excellent, gracious host who truly cared about his service and food. If you’re in Little Italy you have many restaurants to choose from. Be sure to choose L’Amore.“
“Old world styled service crafted for enjoyment & delivered to perfection. Superb Italian food w several preparations table-side. White table cloths & candles but not stuffy. We were lively and had a super memorable time. Table of 8. We will be back. Highly recommend East side location now on 46th street between 2 & 3. $$$“
“I was up and down about buying this pizza because of the cost...HOWEVER, I thought I'd give it a try. It arrived today...Man. REAL PIZZA after 20 years of being GF. It was delicious! I've order online frozen items (cookies, pizza, apps etc) before and this was, by far, the best delivery result. Frozen solid, minimal waste and even the GF taramisu I was nervous about experienced no thawing. It was supposed to be for someone else but oops, so good my taste testing went a bit too far. What taramisu?? :) I ordered 3 GF pizzas and have only tried the sausage and mushroom so far. The crust edge was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle while the pizza itself cooked up nicely. I like mine a bit well done and even doing so, the toppings didn't burn. My ONLY complaint was it needed a bit more sauce for my personally liking and because it was fresh and tasty, I wanted more. Maybe a side to dip my crust in?? What? Yes. Great job Kreste!“
“I like the environment, service and food. I like the lobster head-on shrimp pasta, signature egg york ravioli with black truffle, salmon entree with mushrooms and onion sides.Nice desert. Chocolate soufflé is good. A little sweet for me. Best pistachio gelato I have ever had including in Rome and Florence.“
“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“
“You have to make a reservation and come here. The food was wonderful. Flavors amazing. Atmosphere very nice. Service super. Enjoyed all of it w my family. Meat lasagna was sweeter than our taste buds. Desserts, tira misu, creme Brule, pistachio tart, Nutella tart..all yum.“
“I have been dying to visit and it did not disappoint! The owner was so kind and gracious to my friend and I and even allowed for a third friend to join us! It was all things pink, fabulous and fun! My heart shaped pasta was amazing, the service was intentional and welcoming, and we stayed until they closed. I cannot wait to go back!“
“I went to this restaurant for my birthday, and despite the last minute discovery, Giovanni and Matteo went out of their way to surprise me and bring me a slice of cake to celebrate. Delicious dishes and Matteo very kind, the prices are fair and even lower than many restaurants in New York. Giovanni was very kind and even moved my table under the Lazio mural (I'm a Roma fan ??) but they deserve a 5 star rating! Highly recommended!“
“It’s a restaurant that’s reminds me of my childhood and my early Twenties that was my go to Italian restaurant. I loved everything about this place and enjoyed the great food. I took my wife to celebrate our birthday together and talked about how amazing it was growing up in this neighborhood.“
“All was so incredible - food, service, vibe of the restaurant, all were 10/10. We got so many delicious dishes but our favorites were the cacio e pepe and the chicken parm smothered in vodka sauce (what’s not to love about that???). Would recommend going, and we’ll ABSOLUTELY be back!“
“Came here for dinner with friends. My friends are regulars and love Locanda Verde. They’re foodies like me, so I was excited to try this restaurant…Well, now I know why they love it so much. This place nails Italian food; every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. My favorite was the rigatoni. Additionally, they have an impressive list of wines. Furthermore, the staff are stellar. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely attentive. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu. Keep up the excellence Locanda Verde!!!“
“A longtime nyc staple/favorite! Recently hosted an event here and the team was so lovely to work with, accommodating and communicative. The staff on the day of was wonderful and attentive - our guests were so impressed by food, drinks & ambiance.“
“Looking for some excellent classic southern Italian food? Old school, right out of a movie with waiters in tuxedos and decor from over 50 years ago. Fantastic chicken parm, mussels, eggplant rollatini. It’s been around since 1900 so they must be doing something right. Come down to Brooklyn and make sure you have a reservation. They do have valet parking too.#hollyshotspots“
“My daughter suggests the fettucini alfredo. "It's super creamy and cheesy."The service and attention are top notch. They make you feel like an Italian cousin in town to visit! Warm and welcoming and delicious food. The homemade pasta was so fresh. We made a special trip from midtown just for lunch and it was worth it!Kid-friendliness: They were just lovely to our nine year old.“
“Had a cozy lil' table for two last Friday night, and Osteria Carlina hit all the marks for outstanding food, warm hospitality and intimate atmosphere. Everything we tried was a treat, with the beef tartare, Barolo risotto, beef cheeks and molten chocolate cake standing out as our favorites. The staff here are all engaging – particularly want to call out Nelson and say thank you for the tip top personalized service and conversation! It was a packed restaurant with couples and friend groups, seemingly everyone in high spirits. Also: points for the playlist which spanned from the Bee Gees to Fleetwood Mac – we're excited to come back!“
“Barbuto is terrific. Really cool far west village location and it's a large space with a big bar (where we had a great house martini prior to dinner, the best way to eat out). The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. Also want to acknowledge the calamari salad which is maybe the best version of fried calamari I've ever had. Great place and I'm happy it's here!“
“We came across Aura on a night out, and we are so happy that we decided to go in. We loved it so much, that we stayed till closing. The owner welcomed us with so much warmth, and hospitality. He was incredibly accommodating and got us seats by the beautiful, electric bar even though it was full. The bartenders were super sweet, fun, and everyone was so pleasant to be around. Overall it was a cozy, fun, charming little place.Drinks were amazing. Our friend tried the food and she loved it. We will definitely be back for more drinks, the food, and the aura ;)“
“I’m so happy our original Christmas Eve reservation was cancelled and we found this gem. It was perfect. Romantic ambience, beyond excellent service, food was delicious, drinks were strong. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“
“I went to Rome in October 2023 and I wasn't able to eat the famous Italian panino, as the queue was huge and I didn't have much time. But I took advantage and when I was in NYC 2024 I went to the Times Square store and ate The Odd Couple, wonderful!!!!“
“I cannot state enough just how delicious the food is here !!! Soooooooooo good !! Everything was full of soo much flavor and the steak had to have been one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had perfect temp and seasoning. It’s pretty inside and perfect to go for a date night the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place“
“Had to do some Easter shopping so hot this place up . Been wanting to come here. Really cute place when you walk in its like being in a bistro in Italy . Started with clams Orengenata they were so fresh with a creamy lemon sauce . I had Veal Scaloppini with prosciutto and grilled zucchini and fontina cheese. Omg brown sauce was so good. Veal mostly tender. One piece was little chewy. We also ordered the ravioli special. They were stuffed with artichoke and cheese. Really flavorful and cooked perfectly. Prices very reasonable for the quality ingredients. Waitstaff top notch. Parking is annoying Cant wait to come back.“
“We ate well, good service, great location. We had dinner in the outdoor area which was obviously closed and heated by a fan but with the New York cold, despite the precautions taken, it is not the best and I would have preferred to stay inside. But still I recommend it for good food.“
“We stopped by Roberta's for dinner after a comedy show. It was pouring out but Roberta's was packed and required a bit of a wait. We were seated in the back area where there was ample seating. We ordered: + Stracciatella: we attacked this appetizer once it came to our table. This dish came with two slices of bread which was enough for the big blob of cheese. + Marinated Olives: these were delicious and were fun to eat with our drinks + Little Gem Salad: this salad was refreshing, crunchy, and delicious. + Margherita Pizza: a basic margherita pizza done well. The crusts were also divulged (that's when you can tell the pizza is good). +Ice Cream Sandwich: we ended our dessert with their recommended sticky bun and ice cream dish. This was delicious and well worth the try. They tried to market it as a cinnamon roll but it is definitely much better than that. The staff was fun. They came by often to check on us but let us alone to chill for as long a we wanted. Cheers.“
“I could say that Donna’s pizza has been around for 40 years or that I’ve been eating their pizza since I was 10 years old (I’m 49 this year) but that still wouldn’t be near the whole story. I currently live in Charlotte, NC but I grew up in Palisades Park and lived around the corner from Donna’s. Is it the most delicious pizza you’ve ever had in your life? That’s an impossible standard but, I feel like more accurately, it’s probably the most special pizza you’ll ever have in your life. I don’t know these guys at Donna’s but whenever I go back to Fort Lee to visit family during the holidays, I absolutely make it a point to pick up a slice or two from Donna’s. These guys, and I literally mean the same guys same family have been making pizza for 40+ years. Think about that. Those same hands, those years of experience of skill built up over repeatedly shaping and pulling that dough. Where on earth can you eat pizza made by people that have been making pizza for over 40 years? In today’s short cut, gimmick filled, next new thing world, that’s really truly special. Others will say they’re not the friendliest people in the world, but who cares? If you want love and attention get that from your friends and family. If you want pizza made by people who clearly have a passion and love for making something for nearly my whole life, with hands and experience that you literally can not find anywhere else in the world, go grab a slice at Donna’s. A blast to the past, a time machine back to the 1980s because they really haven’t changed anything in that many years. Bravo you guys at Donna’s, Bravo! Holidays are coming up. Can’t wait to swing by and grab a slice!“
