“We were a group of 7 that included two elderly parents, a 7 year-old, and a newborn, to celebrate my mom's birthday. Both the hosts and our waiter went out of their way to help us and make this a special dinner for my mom and our family. Every dish we ordered was great, both the preparation and the taste, including the appetizers, entrees, and the dessert. Nothing was too heavy or overdone. Our waiter was very understanding and accommodated the various dietary preferences and restrictions at the table. She helped us with the surprise at the end for my mom. Overall, this was a very positive experience and I am grateful to our waiter for her patience throughout the night. 100% recommend.“

“The food was good but portions quite small for the price. (The half chicken was more of a quarter chicken.). The atmosphere is nice. If there are charges on my bill for items I never asked for and never received, then I am going to give you a maximum 3 for service - and thats what happened. (Reminder: always check your bills. Always. These days it seems like at least half of my dinner bills have incorrect items added.). Hostesses were very nice.“

“I love the food, and the vibe and service were great. But for an average sized branzino, I didn’t expect to pay $68. Everywhere else in NYC, branzino typically costs around $36–$42 max.
I’ll definitely go back, but I wouldn’t order the branzino again.“

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the coffees and food that they serve. I go to Pi every time I’m in that neighborhood.“

“I was looking for some good food right after work with my wife and baby boy. We originally were trying to get a table somewhere else, but it was a two hour wait so we came here. Surprisingly, no customers at the time. I'm so glad we came here. Food, music, and aesthetic were all great. I was genuinely shocked by how good the food was. My wife got the smash burger and I got the gyro platter. Both were so good. No photos. We ate everything so quickly. Milton was the waiter who looked after us. He is incredibly friendly, and made great suggestions for the food we ordered. My wife and I will definitely be back. This is a hidden gem 💎“

The host was warm, welcoming, and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and educating me about the restaurant’s history, including its distinction as the oldest Greek restaurant in New York City.

The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, with its original decor beautifully preserved from the beginning. The hand painted ceiling, elegant light fixtures, beautiful furnishings, and intricate details throughout create a timeless and captivating atmosphere. Even though I ordered my meal to go, I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the food and exceptional service to the breathtaking ambiance, Symposium left a lasting impression. “Really enjoyed the takeout I ordered for delivery. The Royal Greens Salads are huge!!! I would say they're twice as big as other salads chains. I wish it was easier though to know the dietary info for the salad dressings as I could not tell which ones were vegan. I love that you can choose your own protein and swap some of the toppings or build your own. I also got the green tofu curry dish from SriPraPhai as well. The sauce was incredibly flavor and I liked the amount of kick it had. It was spicy but not too spicy for me atleast. I do wish it had more tofu in it though as it felt very sauce heavy. I would order takeout from here again especially if I was getting food with someone who wanted something different then me. I appreciate the free delivery and the amazing portion sizes. It's nice to be able to order multiple cuisines as well.“

“First time here. We sat outside on a beautiful day for a late lunch. Service was prompt which was nice and he was attentive. We got a carafe of house white wine which wasn't bad and 3 apps. The beans were great. The fried cheese was salty but good. We wanted the zucchini chips but was offered the fritters. They were not great but we didn't bother switching them out. I think we would go back to try other dishes but only on occasion as the bill was $145 with a good tip.“
