“Transparently, I only came to meet a friend for one cocktail in the afternoon and she ended up being over an hour late due to an unforeseen circumstance, yet the staff was still so incredibly kind to let me sloooooowwwwly nurse my single iced tea and wait at a a cozy little table near the back until my friend arrived.
It was a quiet day there none the less without too many other diners. Whoever manages this team, does it well. Thanks for making my alone time, not feel so alone.“

“Finally tried Bar Bete! Overall a nice experience, as the service was very friendly. We tried a nice mix of small plates and mains, as well as the yellow cake with chocolate frosting for dessert.
The tuna toast and chicken liver pate were fantastic, truly memorable. The leeks and bass were way too salty for my taste. The noise level was also quite high, so very difficult to have a conversation.
Would definitely try again, but maybe just to share more of the small plates.“

“A lovely experience, we were a larger group so we were seated in a private room in the back - they have a great selection of sake and offer a sake pairing. The service was amazing and my favorite was the squab. Their menu is differently not for everyone and that goes with the price point. But a lovely meal nevertheless.“

“My wife and I had a lovely little date night at this cute little French restaurant! The food was delicious, and the staff were so nice. We ordered the goat cheese appetizer, French onion spaghetti (which was downright amazing!), and the steak & frites. The steak was perfectly cooked medium-rare, soft and juicy. We got the creme brulee for dessert, which was very well done. The portion sizes were perfectly filling too!

The goat cheese was just ok for us, which the waitress asked us about - we didn't complain at all, just mentioned that we didn't want to pack it home since we're staying at a hotel and don't have an oven or air-fryer to properly heat it up, but because she knew that we didn't like it as much, her and the owner offered us their Spanish cheesecake as consolidation to take home for free. They really did not have to, but that is some solid A+ customer service and we appreciate them so much for being so nice.

“Came with a party of 4 for a birthday celebration. The food did not disappoint — the dishes were inventive, excellently prepared (you can tell that these are chefs at the top of their game), with Japanesque-subtleties that make you ponder the flavours and textures in every bite.

Excellent beverage pairing (for me, a must at any top restaurant) with some of the most amazing pours I’ve had during a meal. Somm was great and the service staff were professional throughout.

“Really amazing meal with great service. We had the fillet of sole of course which was tender and perfectly prepared, not overwhelmed in butter. Starting with Sun chokes with caviar which was a very creative preparation and finishing with chocolate mousse. Our server was very attentive and knowledge about our wine. “On vacation in New York for 2 weeks, we went to have lunch in this restaurant, quite by chance. Don’t hesitate! There were 5 of us, 2 young parents who live there, with a baby in a pram and 2 happy grandparents. The establishment is small, but superb, very beautiful decor, and the value for money for New York is really great. The boss is French, very friendly, as are all his staff. Special mention to his friend from Brussels. We had a great time, and above all, we ate very well, everything was delicious and plentiful. THANKS ! Delighted high alpines.“

I love a good burger but if you're looking for something a little more elevated, get the oxtail dip on baguette!!!!!!!!! Absolutely delicious. I almost stopped by today for another one.

“A former colleague of mine traditionally sends me an item from Pistache every New Year. Last year it was a lovely King Cake. This year it was a pistachio buche de Noel which was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful to look at and delicious. It was personally delivered by the owner on New Year’s Eve! I wish I had taken a photo as it was a work of art. I attach a king cake photo from last year. I highly recommend every delicacy coming from his kitchen. I have never been disappointed.“

The ingredients felt fresh and the bread was perfect, soft on the inside and just crunchy enough on the outside. The fresh orange juice with ginger was also super refreshing on a hot day.
