The standouts for this place was the crab roe Tofu, the summer max (cocktail), the pea shoots, fatty beef in sour soup, the feihong spicy shrimp, and the fish blossom(sweet and sour). “A very fun and entertaining meal. Everything was really good - my favorites were the broad chili noodle and mushroom Peking duck. They really like to add a bit of flair with their meal presentation. I do wish that you could eat the mapo tofu rice after it's set on fire - who doesn't love crispy rice? I guess they use some sort of accelerant that makes it inedible.

We overordered because the entire menu sounds really good - the leftovers heated up well. The staff was really attentive and helpful.“

“I really like Lucas Sin, so I was expecting this place to be a little more. My expectations aside, the staff was overworked even after 8:30pm, but they were still courteous. I would say this place would still rank much better than Panda Express (there's one down the street), given that this is kind of like a make-your-own type of place (think Sweetgreen, DIGG, etc.) but with a proper Chinese flair (again, contrast with Panda Express).

I would say that the seating area was a little not well-maintained, but you are served with a bowl used for a take-out anyway, so just take it to a place you feel more comfortable eating.

This is the real north-eastern Chinese food and trust me this lovely little spot will impress you. The price on the menu may seem to be a little bit of expensive but the portion is generous af (thats what Chinese northeastern food are supposed to be). I would recommend double crispy pork slices with sweet & sour sauce锅包肉, stir-fried duo 溜两段 and LanZhou noodles 兰州拉面(this is a Chinese northwestern local famous but still very tasty).“

“My friend and I picked this place because it was close and we were drawn to prices. The food was 5 stars. I got the biang biang noodles and she got the stewed pork over rice. I liked how thick the noodles were and it got more and more tasty as I got closer to the bottom because all the sauce was really concentrated. My friend enjoyed her simple yet comforting pork. She says it was very hearty and the soft boiled egg was the best part of the meal. The service was also very good. I overheard the Johnson at the counter taking time to chat with his customers. The cream fried shrimp reminds me of walnut shrimp from Chinese restaurants. Shrimps are big. The frying is good. The sauce taste like mayo, honey and a bit of mustard. 8/10“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

FYI - I do not get the sauerkraut stew I get the chili boil (the red one) and get less peppercorns. I do basa fish and add beef tripe. I share this with my boyf and it hits the spot and the pre-tip total is about $24. With an extra rice it’s about $26.
