“Best vegan pizza in NYC. I could have sworn I reviewed Double Zero before and now I’m wondering if the review disappeared because it was for their old location. They moved (on the same block I think?) into a place that looks a little tighter inside but had an outdoor seating.
Came with a party of 3 and sat inside for a quiet Saturday night dinner—interior seating was maybe half full and exterior seating was packed.
Warning interior didn’t have AC running.
Got two pizzas and jackfruit tacos
Jackfruit tacos: Good but lacked a sauce or spice that left it getting drowned out by the much more flavorful pizzas
Truffle cashew cream pizza: Excellent. Third time getting it and every time it’s been a hit. Flavorful spread of mushrooms on cashew cheese
Spicy Pepperoni Pizza: Pepperonis themselves quite good on a tomato, basil, cheese base. Note the pepperonis have coconut in them in case you’re allergic.
Also got two cocktails and a mocktail, but nothing to report there. My Moscow mule was largely ice.
Unfortunately, the owner is apparently a terrible person according to the April 22, 2024 NYTimes article, but the food is good especially for vegans.“

“One of the top pizza spots in the city for a reason - be prepared for a line but it moves quickly! Tried their Burrata slice which is my god so freaking tasty - definitely a must try. Their Cheese / Margarita - imo amazing slice but i prefer the classic ny cheese without basil or fancy parmesan cheese - nevertheless a great slice.
If you’re visiting NYC definitely should hit this spot, it’s famous among locals!“

“This is one of my favorite spots in NYC. Located close to NYU what’s there not to love? The vibe, the service but most importantly the food! The lasagna is to die for. Beverages are tasty. Downstairs there is live music. A great date night spot!“

“We dropped by Ace's Pizza around 3pm., Brooklyn, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 5th Ave NYC and it was such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating—amazing service all around. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Caesar Salad, and a 14-inch Pepperoni Pizza. Every single item was delicious! The quality of the food was outstanding. The pepperoni pizza especially stood out—crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. We really enjoyed everything we ordered, and the overall vibe of the place made the experience even better. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and craving great pizza!“

“I've lived in Greenwich Village for 35 years and this is one of my favorite neighborhood spots--the kind of place that has fabulous food, reasonable prices, and warm, attentive service. The pizzas have great toppings and that perfect char around the crust that I love. But it has more than just excellent pizza. Try the mussels--they're the fattest, juiciest I've ever eaten and dressed in wonderful sauce. This is the kind of restaurant you can go to all the time!“

“I went there on a Friday night and was able to snag a last-minute reservation for early dinner. As always, their pizza didn’t disappoint. The classic Margherita is my favorite. I also tried the octopus salad, which was good, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give 10 stars, I would—every single day!)
I just had one of the most incredible Italian dining experiences at Daddies in the West Village. Every time I visit, this cozy, soulful gem reminds me why I always come back—it’s hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in New York City.
This time, I brought some of my closest friends who are visiting from back home, and I wanted to treat them to something truly special. We walked in without a reservation on a busy night, and even then, the team welcomed us so warmly. The hospitality here is unmatched. The atmosphere is effortlessly charming, the music sets the perfect mood, and the space feels intimate and alive all at once.
The food? Unreal. We had the lasagna special (out of this world), the cheese and pear salad with walnuts (so fresh and flavorful), a few pastas, and the most perfect chicken parmigiana. Every dish was beautifully made, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned. You can taste the love in every bite. Daddies truly serves some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had—not just in NYC, but anywhere.
Claudio at the door is a star—kind, sharp, and absolutely attentive to every detail. His presence makes the experience even more special. You can tell the entire team takes real pride in making every guest feel welcome and cared for.
I always recommend Daddies to everyone I know, and I will continue to. It’s one of those rare places where everything just feels right—every time. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a magical experience. I can’t wait to be back again (and again)!“

“I had pizza here a couple of days ago on a whim and I’m still dreaming about it. Might be the best pizza I’ve ever had. The Diablo?! So so so good. Perfect combination of excellent sauce, thin crust, and just goodness. And the staff was incredibly kind. Also loved their s’mores dish as well. The vibes are so cozy too, perfect for a date night or a chill catch up with friends. Run, don’t walk to get a reservation!“

“What an amazing experience. Not only was the food spectacular, but the staff made the experience even better. Starting from being greeted by Marx who made you feel like you were at home, to Maria who brought us champagne because we said it was my husband birthday. Coco the manager topped off the experience by acknowledging her amazing staff. If you want a true New York experience i recommend this place highly!“

“I recently discovered Mama's Pizza, and it's the best pizza I've had in my life! I tried the Pouch Pear—wow! Then the 3-Cheese Pizza—every bite was heavenly. And lastly, I had the Corn Pizza. At first, I thought the combination was a bit strange, but no—it was incredible!“
“Food was good but could have been better. I suspect eating during peak times puts some stress on the kitchen getting things out at higher temperatures (all of my entree was medium temperature but the smothered chicken definitely should have been a higher temperature).“

“This place is classic New York, and it does not disappoint. I’ve been here twice on two separate trips to NYC, and both times the pizza was delicious (HUGE slices), the service super fast and friendly, and the atmosphere packed (standing room only, line out the door) and festive. Love the photos on the walls of famous patrons. Get the caprese! SO good.“

“I recently visited this restaurant in New York and was blown away. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Mauro, whom I first got to know at Antica Pesa – he’s incredibly talented. The restaurant itself is simple and unpretentious, but the food is absolutely superb. Every dish is full of flavor and clearly prepared with skill and passion. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine.“

“Lucia Pizza of SoHo, located at 375 Canal Street in New York City, has quickly gained popularity as a destination for classic yet elevated New York-style pizza. Known for its thin, crispy crust and high-quality toppings, Lucia Pizza brings a lighter and healthier approach to traditional pies. It is an offshoot of the original Lucia Pizza in Brooklyn, founded by Salvatore Carlino, whose family has deep roots in New York's pizza-making traditions.
The menu offers a variety of options, including crowd-favorites like Margherita, spinach, and mushroom slices, as well as unique creations such as the vodka pie. The tomato sauce is bright and fresh, and the cheese is lightly applied but flavorful. Toppings like whipped ricotta and fresh basil elevate even the simplest slices. Customers particularly praise the pepperoni pizza for its crispy edges and balanced flavor. Despite its focus on quality, the prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for both quick bites and casual gatherings.
The ambiance is more functional than decorative, with a small counter for stand-up eating, emphasizing its role as a takeout and casual dining venue. While the location can get busy, the staff is noted for being friendly and accommodating, occasionally going the extra mile to resolve order issues.
Critics and customers alike acknowledge that while Lucia Pizza delivers on taste and quality, it may not yet compete with iconic NYC pizzerias like Scarr’s or Nolita Pizza. Still, it offers a solid and satisfying slice, making it a worthwhile stop, especially for those exploring the SoHo area.
Overall, Lucia Pizza of SoHo is a compelling addition to New York's pizza scene, blending traditional techniques with modern, health-conscious touches. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or simply in the neighborhood, it's worth a visit.“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
