“Stefan the new chef has a wonderful restaurant here with fantastic delicacies to choose from. Standouts are his Tuna sushi on rice cakes with caviar. Amazing. Also the steak frites with truffle fries and the tuna carpaccio...just wow. Stefan also had a delicious tapas served as appetizers a few weeks ago with anchovies and other types of seafood served on toasted baguettes. He is friendly and engaging and a great addition to the Ho-Ho-Kus dining scene. Bought St Eves from the previous owners about 2 years ago. Go and Enjoy!“

“Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

“We came for a saturday brunch and it was nothing short of excellent. The manager greeted us and we had some drinks at the bar. The bartender gave us some great recommendations for the menu and the owner even came over to us and introduced himself which was very nice. We got the meatballs, rockshrimp and calamari, lobster guacamole, and burrata which were all incredible and great shareables for us. 5/5 and will definitely be back.“

Cory made sure every dish was cooked exactly how we wanted it, kept checking on our table the whole time, cleaned everything up, and was just super kind. The organic seasonal food was really good and the place has such a nice, relaxed vibe next to the Waldorf school. Felt like we were well taken care of the entire visit. Will definitely be back. Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“My husband and I frequent the hotel for events, but it was our first time dining. We had a 5pm reservation, so it was quiet and empty. The food was a bit pricey, but generous portions and delicious. I had the chicken pot pie and my husband had the most tender short ribs of his life. We will likely be back in the future, and look forward to an elegant way to enhance our future events!“

“Our dinner for Indian Food Night was amazing! Every course was varied and a take on Indian classics like I have never tasted. The Lamb shank was to die for and Rice Crusted Halibut was unique and so flavorful! As always the staff was super friendly and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. I especially loved the entertainment which was guitar playing and singing by Taylor. So good! It was a magical evening! Chef Ben has outdone himself!“

“We had dinner at Fire & Oak in Montvale last night, and I have to give a special shoutout to our server, Michelle. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've had in a long time. There were a couple of hiccups with my filet mignon—it was first served with au poivre sauce by mistake, and when it came back, it was very rare even though I had ordered it medium. Michelle immediately apologized, took care of everything with such professionalism, and made sure the kitchen corrected it. None of it was her fault, but she handled the situation with genuine concern. The restaurant also removed the steak from our check, which was a very thoughtful gesture and completely unexpected. That level of customer service was truly appreciated. Despite the issues with my steak, Michelle made the entire experience a positive one. We always enjoy our meals at Fire & Oak, and this visit was another reminder of why we keep coming back. We'll definitely be back again soon!“
