“I have been coming here for years, and it’s my family and I’s go to spot! Of all of the Peruvian restaurants I’ve tried, this one has the best and most authentic Peruvian food. The Pollo a la Brasa is incredibly fresh and I absolutely love their sauces. The lemonade is just like the lemonades I’ve tried in Peru and their service is amazing, friendly, attentive and consistent. Plus, there’s always great music! Please support this restaurant:)!!🇵🇪❤️“

“We had a cute date night at this place, but it fell short of our expectations. We were excited after reading the glowing reviews, but the service was disappointing. Given the limited seating and the small number of guests, we expected more attention and guidance on the menu. However, the menu was not extensive, so we didn’t receive a comprehensive overview of the dishes.

Despite these shortcomings, the food was delicious. Each dish was unique, and the flavors and presentation were perfect. This is a seafood restaurant, so be prepared for a variety of dishes, some of which are served raw.

“Finally went to Moono and it delivered. Each dish held its own with unique flavors. We had a la carte among four of us with a bottle of makeoli and were happily filled with 1 appetizer and 3 entrees. We ordered an extra bowl of white rice which is the move as so many dishes had excellent sauces that you just wanted to soak up with rice, plus the white rice itself is perfect with a sweetness to it.

We had Hoe Muchim + Kim, Beef Hotpot, Mushroom Sotbap, and Galbijjim. It was outstanding from the cold cucumber soup at the beginning to the end. Beef hotpot is great for those who appreciate that pure beef taste and experience- it is lightly seasoned and in my opinion a great contrast to the big flavors of Galbijjim. Galbijjim is a crowd pleaser and easy to enjoy, it is a most indulgent version with meat removed from the bones. We only wished the dish were layered with more vegetables / mushrooms, which were not side characters in this dish. Sotbap was fragrant - only wished that they scooped out the crispy bits, which are the best parts. Maybe they can offer guests the option to serve themselves rather than take away and return with the scooped out bowls for each person.

Also would love to see more makgeolli options on the drinks menu.

“a few weeks ago, went to the Merrmaid oyster bar on the upper West side had a fabulous meal awesome bartender…… the calamari and shrimp and avocado sliders were amazing ….. had dinner again last night at the Mermaid oyster bar in Times Square both Food and service were amazing… it’s a must to have the Chunu, wellfleet & naked, cowboy Oysters.. Shanghai spareribs and kale salad with chorizo crusted Chatham cod was fabulous…. lastly, linguine, and clam with the lobster roll was my favorite throughout the night…..“

Very welcoming and cozy, modern Thai restaurant with the South East Asian flare you'd be looking for if having visited Thailand before. Decor is a mix of modern and traditional which gives a nice feel, ambiance is relaxed.

I was greeted with friendly & warm smiles and seated at the spacious bar area where Yatika helped me decide food/drink choices. I can vouch for the excellent food quality and selection (Northern Thai & Bangkok) having ordered Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao & Tom Kha soup

Shout out to Yatika for the excellent service and making your patrons feel welcomed and wanting to come back! I'd highly recommend and will definitely be back when coming through the city. Double 👍👍“

“Just went here with my mom and it was great. We got the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was sooooo good and fresh 🤤🤤. For entrees she got their clam pasta and loved it, and I got their special scallops which were super tasty!! It was a little noisy but personally I didn’t really care. I had chicken tenders, my mom had fried shrimp ,we both had with sweet potato fries that had a slight syrupy taste which were amazing, we got hush puppies and calamari to split..both great..we ate and still have plenty left for a full meal.. also have a seperate full bar, frozen drinks, tv's etc service was also great ..I definitely recommend ...oh and great prices“

“Ilis was highly recommended to us by a friend who is a chef, after we asked about suggestions on restaurants in New York that truly push boundaries. It did not disappoint. While we are quite familiar with the concept of radical local sourcing and seasonal cooking organised by colder and warmer days, (yes, days not months), Ilis still managed to surprise us. We opted for the market menu, which is tailored to the ingredients available on that very day, and were treated to an additional dish. Each course was impeccably well prepared and presented effortlessly, and fun! The natural taste of the ingredients was allowed to shine, offering the rare opportunity to unspoil your palate and rediscover how herbs, vegetables, and meat/fish taste on their own, when not suffocated in fat, sugar, and spices. This, we believe, is the key to the success of Ilis and its chef Mads Refslund: being able to keep the dishes almost naked while never loosing the culinary direction. An absolute standout was the extra dish: raw tuna scraped from the dorsal fin spine, followed by the other side grilled with sesame. It was nothing short of a feast! Another memorable feature is Ilis' book of ingredients, which you can browse through between courses. It offers insight into their sourcing, philosophy, food preferences, and quirks (giggle). Lastly, the open kitchen is from another orbit, with its wood-fired charcoal oven, open barbecues, and dedicated adjacent fish and meat smoking stations. We could rave on and on about it. I honestly love this place it’s become a go-to for me and my girlfriend. We came by on a Friday around 5 p.m. and tried all the specials for the day, plus some oysters. Everything was incredible. The seafood here always tastes super fresh and flavorful you can tell they really care about the quality and taste of their dishes.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the service is always on point, and the area itself is great to walk around before or after your meal. This spot never disappoints. Highly recommend!“

“Docks is an institution! I am so glad it is still around and going strong. 40 years ago I used to hang out there after work to unwind and socialize with my colleagues. We were young and loved the energy the place exuded. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a new colleague for happy hour and it did not disappoint. The mushroom pasta is tasty but too oily, making it feel heavy. The focaccia and lamb chops are good and well-cooked, but they’re not impressive enough to justify the high prices. The fries and cheese balls? Not worth it and better skipped.

Overall, the food is decent but overpriced. The excellent service makes a visit worthwhile, but I don't think I'd go back often.“

I found Saar online, it was less than a block from our hotel so we figured we'd give them a try. So glad we did. Nice place. Great, friendly service (Karim is the man!), and excellent food. I ended up cancelling the reservations I made for night 3 and we went back to Saar. Give them a try if you like Indian food. It was amazing!“
