“I recently came in for a weekday lunch with a friend and tried their set lunch for 2 (ssam-bap jungsik). The servers were very friendly and helpful with ordering and they made sure that banchan refill (limited to 2 times) was done promptly. The banchans were all were prepared; my friend who tried Korean food for the first time loved the eggplant side dish. I loved that they offered the soybean stews in individual earthen bowls. Their spicy and non-spicy pork bulgogi were also very well done with just the perfect amount of marinade. Accompanying veggies for wraps were also plentiful so we didn't have to ask for a refill. We also ordered steamed Korean dumplings which were packed with meat, tofu and veggies. This was so delicious! I don't normally order dumplings when I go out because it's usually the store bought ones that are steamed or friend but here, it was made in house and the quality was definitely there. I am looking forward to returning to try out more of their new menu items soon.“

“The food is worth for the money. It comes with a drink which is a plus. But the BBQ tastes does confuse me a bit. It's not Chinese BBQ favour nor Taiwanese BBQ favour like other store. The portion is good. Not the best, but good for a try.“

“Tried the grilled tofu(not my favourite. But I usually don’t like unless it’s really fried or crispy) the sweet and sour pork was really good and a huge portion with lots of leftovers. The grilled lamb had a really nice flavour. Also got grilled garlic, I thought it would have been better if it was cooked more and softer but that’s my opinion. They didn’t have hot sauce(I’m sorry I know but I like spice) the drinks are really tasty and I recommend the different fruity ones.“

The team behind favourites (also the same folks behind your favourite Thai restaurants in Toronto) are cooking up something different here, but all in good fun and flavour. “No shawarma place has EVER done this…Me and 4 friends came down from Mississauga at 1 am to try their beef. We’ve had their chicken before but never had their beef shawarma.We called an hour earlier and confirmed they had beef. The guy said yes (they sell out of this quick so we had to make sure it was worth the trip).We headed down. Got there an hour later and beef was sold outtt! I was pretty bummed Ngl. I figured I’d just get chicken again. So me and my friends ordered full meals and then we sat down and enjoyed every second of it. The food is amazinggg. Flavourful, solid portion, incredible price.And a few minutes in, one of the servers comes to our table and drops a plate of beef shawarma for me and all my friends to share! He said he found a few last pieces of beef that he was able to whip together for us and didn’t even charge us for it!That’s what you call going above and beyond!!!Solid customer service, 1000% repeat customer and will continue recommending this place. “Came here for dinner for 6 people. Although the tables are a little small and services are lacking, the food is truly amazing! I'll list the food with ranking from best to good.Spicy stir fried gold coin egg with perilla has a thick and savoury sauce. Hardboiled eggs are cut into coins and deep fried, then tossed in a mince pork, black bean paste and chilli sauce. Perilla and carrots added the sweetness that brings the whole dish together. This is an unbelievable way to eat eggs. Must try!Stir fried pork slices with green pepper is a classic chinese dish that has many variations. I can't comment on the authenticity, but I certainly found it incredibly well made. The pork slices are cooked to the right texture and green chillies are fresh. The sauce collected the smoky flavour from the hot wok as it was fried. Incredible dish to eat with rice.Hunan boiled fish fillet in hot chilli oil used freshly sliced black fish instead of frozen basa as seen in most restaurants. This makes the fish neither flakey nor watery, but tender and oozing with flavour instead. The chilli oil fully bloomed the numbing peppercorn and dried red chillies that excites your pallette as the fish lands on your tongue. Konjak jelly noodles and cucumbers are great choices to add to the dish, providing differences in texture.There are spicy chicken offal dishes and skewers that I really wanted to try next. When I'm in the area again, I'll come back for more.“

I have to say it was a great experience.The food was so well prepared and the marinates were flavourful and delicious . Everything tasted amazing!The service was top knotch! “Located inside Empress Walk on the second floor, always wanted to see how it stacked up to Gyubee. We were charged holiday price for Easter Monday lunch, which came out to about $40 each after tax and tip.Food was pretty good overall. Our group really enjoyed the miso marinated kalbi short rib and ordered a lot of it. The kimchi here is pretty good, but the bibimbap isn't as good. Also don't love that you have to pick between soft serve or melona for dessert. Service was decent, the staff were pretty attentive about grill changes but not so much about removing empty dishes from our table.One thing we didn't love was we ordered chicken thighs and when it came, it was mixed in the same plate with other meats like beef and sausage. Just better in my opinion to separate them to reduce the risk of getting sick.“

The team at Gyubee helped to secure 3-large tables for our group, helping to keep us together and close by. “We were 2 families, 4 adults and 5 children. The food was AMAZING. The brisket is so tender and tasty. The riblets were fantastic. Overall, it was such a great vibe and really good food! The only one drawback was the seating. It was a tight squeeze for all of us, but that wouldn't deter us from coming back! It was definitely "an experience."“

Smokiness was there.Bbq sauce is heavy on the tomato/ketchup side, could be more balanced.Overall a decent bbq place.“

“Great Friday night dinner at this cozy restaurant that combines Chinese BBQ dishes and relaxing vibe with 90’s songs playing in the background. The skewers are well seasoned and cooked. Service was quick and friendly. The owner also serves dishes and makes sure everything is going well.The scallops were really tasty. I also liked the skewers although I wish they came a little hotter and sizzling. The wiener we ordered came lukewarm in the center which was not so perfect. Haven’t had a chance to try their drinks but I’m interested in their beer sangria.Their recent shift away from the tipping system is a welcoming gesture. Despite the lack of tips, I find their service superior to other Chinese BBQ places that would penny pinch customers for tips. Keep it up, and you have my support. Will be back again.“

“This place is very pretty, it has a great vibe with fast and efficient staff, they help you cut your meat and are very quick to answer your questions. I went here for my birthday dinner with a couple of my friends and they will sing you a song and gift you a mini dessert with a candle, it was so exciting and everybody sings happy birthday for you. “Liked this place for their flavour full bbq food. But they only take debit or cash. We went in groups of 4 and we asked for two bills he said no one bill and one person pay and then the other e-transfer the half. It was weird because our waiter is telling us what to do. They should be able to split the bill and charge us. Cause what happens when you come with a bunch of people it makes it inconvenient for one person cause he or she would have to have the funds to cover the entire amount in cash or debit.“

“Highly recommend this BBQ, everything we ordered was tasty. We were a larger group who booked ahead, and they offered a fix price menu. We had brisket, wings, ribs, Brussel sprouts and Ceasar salad. She made sure that the seats that we got are perfect since we came as 8 pax. The waiting time is okay. Steven, our server, was incredible. “Surprisingly a big spacious environment with lots of booths. You get your own space to grill various meats, seafood, veggies. The service is quick, the iPad to order is easy and straight forward. I suggest the pork belly with lettuce wrap, and kimchi, garlic to go with it. As well, liked the shrimp tray with aluminum foil that you place directly on the grill. There is a bit of MSG so you do come out thirsty. I liked the ice cream cone at the end (limited one) per order. Only thing was, pricing is a bit more for dinner and weekends, so you should go with a big appetite then“

My partner and I had heard of this place from many articles that had been praising the service and food. The atmosphere feels like you’re stepping into a spot that resembles many small restaurants that I’ve visited in Asia.Staff was quick, attentive, and helpful. The food was great and not overly expensive. It was a great dining experience to add into the mix of our regular spots.The staff gave us a great glass noddle dish to try as they were testing it out, we absolutely loved it and hope that they add it to their menu.Parking: There is a small parking lot around the back of the building. We didn’t have trouble getting a spot there, but there are limited spaces available.“

The atmosphere is great and colourful and employees are very nice and polite and courteous!We got the 2 shawarma wrap deal and the chicken shawarma platter with rice and salad.This is a Mediterranean style shawarma so taste was a bit unique, I had mixed feelings with the combination of the meat marination and the tanginess from the pickles were not tangy enough to cut through the sauces. The sauces were unbalanced, I like sauce but I think there was too much of the garlic sauce. Otherwise it was a unique flavour maybe next time I will beef or jerk item ?They are open till 3am so good for the those who work late and want to get some dinner and also caters to Ramadan schedule ? and reasonable prices!I would recommend trying this place out.“
