“I was craving soup dumplings, so my friend recommended this place around Finch and I decided to give it a try🥟✨

I ordered the Original Pork Bao and Fried Bao with Peppery Shrimp.

I was expecting something more like the typical soup dumplings I’ve had in Toronto, but these were different in the best way! The bottom of the bao was super crispy, while the top stayed soft and fluffy. There was plenty of hot soup inside, and the pork was really tender🤤 The crispy bottom was definitely my favorite part!

The Peppery Shrimp Bao was described as spicy and numbing, but I personally didn’t find it spicy or numbing at all 😂 It definitely had that peppery, Sichuan-style flavor, though. You could taste the “numbing spice” without actually getting numb, if that makes sense

Overall, I really enjoyed everything! I went on a Friday evening and it was very busy, but luckily we were able to get a table without waiting 🥹✨ I’d definitely come back for the crispy pork bao!“

“Honestly wasn’t expecting much when coming in. They seated us in the section that had majority tablets; Genius idea. The service was fast and efficient. Everything you need is right there at the table or can be answered by the tablet. The table has compartments where you can find utensils, napkins, etc. The food was reasonably priced, generous portions, and tasted good. If there’s anything you need you can look to the tablet to help you. There’s an option to call a server and has options for your inquiry.

“I am a certified tofu eater. I could eat tofu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if given ample free will. No, I’m not vegan, and this place by far had one of the best tofu dishes I ever had. Yes, I know it’s a bao house and I did order a beef xiao long bao that was just as delicious, but my star was on the tofu appetizer. The inside was so fluffy and the outside has a delicate crisp to it that held its own with the sauce. The sauce was also nice and tangy that felt refreshing with the warmer weather. I’d happily eat more again“

“Not normally a fan of Northern Chinese food that usually have a lot of offals, but I saw they had a pork knuckle meal that is only $11.99 and I do love me some pork knuckle.

Holy value for money, you get a ton of food for that $12. Pork knuckle, cabbage, pickled mustard greens, tofu, rice and half a tea egg. All for $12. The rice was made really well too (not mushy).

The wife wanted to try the half/half meal which had half knuckle and half intestines ($12.99). I tried a piece and it only confirmed to me that I do not like intestines 😂. The pork knuckle can be a bit heavy as some people have noted. But at these prices how can you go wrong.

We were able to order online ahead and paid when we picked up. Will definitely order from here again the next time we're looking for some cheap eats!“

“You come here for the shrimp wontons & noodle. I like the dry version (soup in separate bowl). Love the chili oil. It actually has some spice to it. Everything is self-serve and now only comes in disposables. Noodles and soups come in either waxed carton bowls or plastic containers. Hoisin sauce for noodles is provided on the top of a plastic container lid. Lol.“

“Overall, my experience was just okay.
The environment was pleasant and clean, and the general flavor of the dishes was acceptable. No major complaints on the ambiance or basic taste.
However, the main issue was the freshness of the food. The meat did not seem as fresh as I would have liked, and some of the cold dishes also tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. This significantly detracted from the meal's quality.
If the kitchen can address the freshness of their ingredients, particularly the meat and cold appetizers, this restaurant would definitely earn a higher rating.

“Experience decision buffet is nice. It’s nice and clean. The tables are clean. The food area is clean not much variety but really good price for weekday. The staff is super friendly and nice tables and atmosphere is pretty nice. They have claw machines for the kids if you would like to play those and honestly for $15 on a weekday it’s not too bad and they have a pretty wide variety of options. They don’t have as much as other buffets, but it is a nice local spot.“

“Last night we enjoyed an amazing meal at Ming Cuisine . We were a party of 8 and we dined in the Private dining room. The food was brought to our table by very polite servers and every dish came with immaculate presentation. We enjoyed the eel, ( 2 different ways) , lobster beautifully presented on a bed of noodles, ribs, rice, beef noodles, green vegetables with garlic and two fish dishes. We also enjoyed almond milk soup and a sesame ball for dessert. As a Caucasian it was alot of fun to get a taste of Hong Kong cooking and the owner, David was great as he described everything to us! It was a wonderful evening with great friends ! Thank you to David and his staff! We will be back!!“

It's mainly a takeout place with some tables, but it's not a full service restaurant.

“An interesting juxtaposition of a nice, clean, well run Persian lounge, with someone in the back who clearly knows what they're doing with pasta. The food was great. Pasta was done perfectly, presented nicely with some unique flair, al dente and served hot. We had the vodka (Romanoff) , and truffle(I don't remember the names it was the last on the list) pastas. We were both impressed with the quality and flavour richness. We were there early on a Friday evening, the only other customers were smoking on hookahs (we weren't bothered by it, I don't think I noticed it in the air), and perhaps having a drink. It was easy to park right in front. The restaurant is located in the corner of the outdoor strip mall, a few doors down from Subway, in the World on Yonge complex. A nice find in the neighborhood.“

“The self-serve items are acceptable. Especially since it's $3 per 100 grams. They also charge about $2 more for the broth.
I chose the beef bone broth with a spicy level of 1 and it was good. Next time I'll definitely try the tomato soup.
The staff was friendly but didn't speak much English.
We spent about $60 for three people and took some of the leftovers home, which was the size of a full meal.“
