“Had a fantastic dinner here tonight. The room is beautiful and warm and the service is attentive, friendly and professional. The food…..well that’s the best part. The Japaburgees and crispy shrimp sliders are moist and delicious, great portion. Fresh oysters, with a great selection of sauces. The pork belly was soft yet crispy and rich, the spicy galbi ribs were rich and a reasonable amount of spice but the fried chicken was the show pieces we ordered 2 orders. Well done! We will be back .“

“The vibe is wonderful. Hundred percent fit for friends group chilling. The combo, including alcohol n snacks is great, reasonable pricing. And the food is actually not bad. Beer u can kinda taste it might mix with water cuz pretty light. The whiskey is good. I prefer the whiskey ice tea over beer a lot. The staff is nice just not the front desk girl. When we walk in, she said they are full booking. We completely understand, even a bit disappointed, we r gonna search up another bar nearby. And then the next second she said she forgot they have second level which is empty😂 I was like what, how can you forget that. At the end, when we leave, we still don see they are full, lmao“

“Been coming here for years. Still enjoy visiting every once in a while. Japa burger sliders are my wife’s favourite. They are a little on the sweet side though. Everything here always tastes good. The food tastes even better when paired beer or cocktails, which they have plenty of. Service here is usually prompt. Thank you“

“Bonnie our server was very knowledgeable, it was our first time at the wood owl and the food and atmosphere was excellent. We went with a group of six and we shared all our entrées. It was awesome and the wine list was extensive. What a great place.“

“Amazing mixed paella (ordered ahead). As good or better as what I've had in Spain with fresh mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari, (proper) Spanish chorizo and chicken. very authentic (my 6 year old loved it also). They also recommended a nice dry white wine to go with it. Picked up some imported chorizo and manchego for later 🤤.“

“Consistent - hours of operations (never close randomly), food since year 1 still amazing, price keeps you from wanting to go elsewhere, service is always kind, efficient & helpful. I’ve been going to 416 since year 1 of opening. Probably the only place in Toronto that has stayed this consistent for over a decade. Will always be my go to spot after a long day of work.“

“My girlfriends and I visited Planta a few weeks ago, and it was such a pleasant experience. It was my first time at the restaurant, and while I’m not vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I’m currently limiting my dairy intake, so I was thrilled to satisfy my pizza craving with one of their delicious dairy-free options.

The service was fantastic—both Sid and Grace were such a pleasure. Grace was especially knowledgeable and helpful when we were placing our orders, and when there was a small issue with my meal, they handled it quickly, apologetically, and with kindness.

“We had the best experience at Madrina. We ordered the 11 course tapas with wine pairing. Our server Mays was knowledgeable, entertaining and prompt while servicing our table inside and tables outside. The manager, Ishaan checked on us frequently making us feel at home. When you consider the amount of courses and wine the price point was more than reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant. Paella for the win!“

“We like the one at Carlton street so we decided to visit this one tonight. The food is good and we like the Thursday deal - it’s a Tsukune flight. This location may not have that many seats, it still has good vibe. BTW, it has a Ashahi beer for $6 on Thursday.“

“We had such a great experience at this izakaya. The food was absolutely delicious everything felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The beef tartare was especially memorable: light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The karaage was another standout—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right.

Service struck that perfect balance—not overbearing, but still attentive and timely, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.

The only small downside was that it was a bit on the darker side, making it a little hard to see at times.

“I can’t say enough about our stay. I came to Toronto for surgery and had anxiety about the stay. They reached out to me numerous times to make sure I had a smooth stay. They even accommodated another night on short notice due to some complications that I had. Taylor, Nisha, Luis and everyone we came in contact with were stars in my books. They went above and beyond for my stay and I can’t thank them enough. Also the basket of bath products with a thoughtful letter was just lovely and blew me away. “Very nice venue with art and decor. Winterlicious Apps and main dish (steak) were a little too salty in my opinion. Noise level was awful with the club next to us. All we heard were vibrating sounds. Insulation of the venue itself was quite poor; cold winds seeping through the walls. We ate dinner with our coats on. Not ideal. The most they could've done was offered us a free coffee.“

“Really enjoy this place. Food is great, service too. Also a very decent Open Mic on Wednesdays open for various acts like Comedy, Poetry, Music. Sure, there may be a performance that isn’t everyone’s fave but doesn’t reflect the restaurant itself. Overall it’s well run and majority of acts understand and do well.“

“We had reservations for a party of 7 adults to celebrate a birthday. We happened to arrive on time at 5:30pm and were politely greeted and seated by Gabby. She informed us that we had arrived in time to take advantage of Happy Hour pricing for our drinks, which we agreed to. We ordered several glasses of wine and beer, and it was a nice surprise to pay much less than normal pricing. The service that she provided was exceptional and all of our party really enjoyed chatting with such a nice and friendly waitress. The food was excellent, and Gabby surprised our birthday person with a warm chocolate lava cake, which we all shared a tiny piece. Thank You, Gabby, and thank you Eden.“

“Learned about this place from Too Good To Go app and decided to come here for lunch with a friend. It is a little hard to spot since it is hidden in a small street. We heard this place just open a month ago, so might explain why the place wasn't too busy. Good for us, since we could sit by the cozy lounge area. I got the Avocado Toast, and my friend the Mediterranean Cauliflower. The Toast was super balanced and beautiful (and so much avocado!). The Cauliflower had a lot of components and was very filling. We both agreed the food was 10/10. if you coming for Cocktail, would recommend the Amethyst and the Carribean Sour!“

“We go to Corks for work lunch regularly. The food and drinks are great for the price. The atmosphere is great and quiet for conversations. The waiter Agusto is awesome and provides 5-star services all the time. He remembers all of our names and our orders and preferences. Lunch at Corks has become one of the reasons we come in to office for work!“
