“Great place for a late night bite! The oyster special is super worth it. The food overall was great. One of the servers that was there, a younger gentleman wasn’t in the best of moods, but the ladies were great.
Overall still a good place to get some late night food, at their patio. Will be back!“

“I liked it, but for our group of six, they brought one order after two minutes and forgot two others for over an hour, despite us asking many times. We had a fun time, but it would have been better if the orders had come out together or at least close in time.“

“Picked up last two tamales from the freezer section .. had them couple days later.. put them in a steamer (don’t like microwaving) and served with salsa with avocado… bit of hot sauce… honestly… it transported me back to Mexico.. they were filled with chicken and veg and were totally delicious. Best tamales this side of the Rio grand!! $4:95 each and worth every penny!!👍🏻👍🏻 two thumbs wayyy up!!“

“Toronto is great for hanging out and for having fun. That’s what I learned from all my trips there in the past. And this little snack bar is one of the best places to stop by for a break before you head out to another hangout spot. I became quite acquainted with the GTA as a result of all my trips there. And I’d love to go back. But let’s see what happens. I might need to find a replacement for it.“

“What a hidden gem! Super nice spot, our server Poi was engaging and attentive, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos and the grilled octopus as well as the dessert - their custard pastries are as good as the ones I’ve had in Lisbon“

“My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary and we had a fantastic time! Food was delicious, probably one of the best Italian places in the city, actually way better than some well known places. Loved the cozy and comfortable vibe yet their menu is really appealing. I would highly recommend“

“Great ambience, friendly staff and tasty food. Really love the beef tataki , beef tartare and salmon tartare. Ingredients are very fresh. Love the mentaiko Caesar salad; tasty and fresh. Will definitely try other selections on the menu next time.“
“We were very impressed with the sound quality of the venue. It was the ideal location for a performance by Sean McCann who's voice carried brilliantly throughout. He is a wonderful entertainer and human being.“

“Came here on a whim last weekend not knowing much about the place, it is now on my favorites list.
Short Turn is a narrow and cozy spot which looks like it would be claustrophobic, but somehow isn’t. It balances the comfort of a diner with the elegance of a bar lounge to create quite a unique feel.
For drinks we ordered Pancake Manhattan and a non-tequila version of the Tequila Sunset. My wife really liked the idea of the Tequila Sunset, but hates tequila; the staff were more than happy to accommodate this bizarre request and they did so beautifully. The whipped OJ is just delicious and the drink came out perfect. My Pancake Manhattan was complex and warm, beautiful for sipping on the cold, wet weather we had. It was so smooth and kind of tasted like an alcoholic Werthers candy.
I also got the Char Siu Bolo Bao Brekky which could probably cure the worst of hangovers. Every part of the sandwich was super delicious, even the last couple bites of plain bun at the end.
Extra shout out to Adrian who added just a little extra to our visit. He was extremely helpful and brought a great energy to our experience.“

“Fantastic hidden gem! The food is delicious, service is very friendly and attentive, art is unique, and overall vibes are great. I held my birthday at Tiger Den and we had a wonderful time! I have recommended the place to several friends - we love the happy hour deals too!“

“It’s more of a mix of a Korean and Japanese izakaya. It’s Korean-owned, so I wouldn’t say the food is fully authentic Japanese, but everything I’ve tried has always tasted great. I also love their beer and umeshu.
The service was just okay - nothing special. The location is a bit difficult to get to without a car. Overall, I really enjoyed all the food I tried and would definitely come back, although it’s still a bit pricey.“

“Great new spot! We went in for Friday afternoon snacks/wine after work, and it was awesome. The space is warm and welcoming, the wine list is interesting but accessible, and the food is incredible. A great addition to Dupont and would definitely recommend for a happy hour or dinner.“

“The BOGO deal for salmon sashimi on Sunday is fantastic - super thick cuts of fatty salmon! I think their rolls were pretty mid tho.
They also have karaoke booths in the back (priced base on room size) that are paid per hour, and separate from the dining bill.“

“Drink was awesome. I had the maple miso latte and it was interesting. Imo the waffle is a bit dry to finish. A bit more sauces to go with the fried chicken might be ideal.
The space is small so expect a wait time especially during the weekend.“

“Arancini was delicious! The space is a bit cramped so not a great place for date night. Large chatty parties and mechanicals in the kitchen were making it hard to hear the person at my table in the back room. Maybe next time we'll try the bar. Wait staff is very friendly and unpretentious, always a bonus.“

“we went there last night ! ordered half octopus . its came and we didn't like it so much. waitres asked why we didn't finish , we said we didn't like it so much . “Very cozy and homey! Been getting ads for it and we weren't even in the province, so we knew we had to check it out! The food was so delicious, and clearly homemade and not all greasy-fast-foodish. Spaghetti was delicious and big, filling portions. The options for meat was delicious as well, tenderly cooked and seasoned. Would love to come back when we can!!! Staff is friendly and the wait times for food were quick!“

“I was just at Zakkushi on Carlton, terrible service there!!!made me leave before even eating. I came next door to Kintaro, I’m so glad I did. The food here is much better, the flavors are balanced (unlike Zakkushi, which was way too salty), and the service was genuinely friendly and welcoming. This place beats Zakkushi in every way. Highly recommend Kintaro—skip Zakkushi and come here instead.“

“Cheap and cheerful food before the Leaf game. Cheapest beer in the Dwtn core. It is not cozy at all, being at the back of a grocery store, but close to many places to grab a beer and not have to pay an arm and a leg. It was not too busy so, might be a hidden gem for a while.“

“We had the best experience at Madrina. We ordered the 11 course tapas with wine pairing. Our server Mays was knowledgeable, entertaining and prompt while servicing our table inside and tables outside. The manager, Ishaan checked on us frequently making us feel at home. When you consider the amount of courses and wine the price point was more than reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant. Paella for the win!“

“Learned about this place from Too Good To Go app and decided to come here for lunch with a friend. It is a little hard to spot since it is hidden in a small street. We heard this place just open a month ago, so might explain why the place wasn't too busy. Good for us, since we could sit by the cozy lounge area. I got the Avocado Toast, and my friend the Mediterranean Cauliflower. The Toast was super balanced and beautiful (and so much avocado!). The Cauliflower had a lot of components and was very filling. We both agreed the food was 10/10. if you coming for Cocktail, would recommend the Amethyst and the Carribean Sour!“

“Everything was great. Our server Becca was attentive, pleasant and very professional. It made for a great night. The food was delicious. I had the lobster pasta, highly recommended. Be warned that it was a bit salty, but I feel that should be expected since it is seafood.“
