“Stopped by here last night (the coldest night so far this winter) around 6 pm and I want to call out the barista (a woman) who served me. Didn’t note her name, regretfully. “I had such a great experience at the Starbucks at Shops at Don Mills! The store was clean, well organized, and had a really welcoming vibe. The staff were friendly and efficient, and my drink was made perfectly.

I especially want to shout out the manager, Seth — he was incredibly professional, kind, and clearly cares about both the customers and the team. You can really tell when a place is well-run, and this location definitely is. Seth made sure everything was running smoothly and made the experience even better.

“This is my local Starbucks, though the drinks are sometimes inconsistent, Jasmine made my lavender matcha today, and it was the best I’ve had yet at any location. “I stop in here regularly on the way to pick my daughter up from school. Every day, everyone is in a great mood, the music is good, they’re so friendly. I don’t know if this is something that they have to do, but my daughter wanted an iced water, the lovely person behind the counter treated her as a true customer, with a smile, and made her feel amazing that she’d placed an order all by herself. Even though it was just water, they called out her name, thanked her for coming etc. it made her day. And boosted her confidence so much! The staff here are honestly the best!“

The barista on bar, Lisha, really nailed it - I could taste the exact distinct layers I was looking for in my beverage. “I have been to many, many coffee shops in Toronto, but 1740 Avenue Road Starbucks is not just the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to，it is, without a doubt, the best place. Period. Place is clean and modern. Moderate noise level, still manageable to study/work without noise cancelling headphones.

“The baristas were delightful as always. The cafe was neat but very crowded and the way the seats are arranged it isn’t a great place to take a kid in a stroller, which is what I did. Incidentally the only seat that came available was right next to the washrooms which afforded a bit of extra space for the sleeping toddler in a stroller.

I remember back a long time ago there used to be more cafe space and less counter space (now used for mobile order pick up), and I felt it matched the “3rd place” ideal Starbucks used to have. I can see with all the drive thrus and UberEats etc Starbucks has moved away from that, and it’s a shame. Howard Shultz should be sad about this but I guess $$ is a comfort.“

“One the most popular coffee shops which used to be very organized by serving delicious drinks & snacks but unfortunately during last years the quality & service provided is far below the standards required but prices are much higher than similar outlets. Most of the time the table & the place are not clean & when we complain the working staff claimed they are very busy“

“My favourite Starbies location! Everyone here is so nice and so chill, with a welcoming vibe every time. They don't make me feel dumb for making special requests or for letting them know about my wife's allergy. I keep coming back here because the entire staff is competent, efficient, and super friendly.

We stopped at this Starbucks for a quick bite and a washroom break, and we were impressed by how clean the location was. The staff were professional and approachable, making for a pleasant visit. I also noticed they had a great selection of tumblers, though I passed since I already have one.

One nice touch is that they’re currently collecting hygiene products to support the Gerstein Crisis Centre. If you’d like to contribute, there’s a basket near the checkout where you can drop off your items.

We ordered two Double-Smoked Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Sandwiches, which were nicely presented and tasted delicious. Since the inside seating was full, we sat outside, and I appreciated that the outdoor tables were kept clean. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely visit again!

Parking: There is free parking on the street in the residential area, but you can also do paid parking in the main street“

Not knowing if this was normal - I asked the baristas. They made me a new coffee and explained. After googling - almond milk CAN curdle in acidic coffee. “Very solid location that usually has things together, even when it gets busy. The servers are very friendly. The store is tidy and clean. There is tons of parking, as it is located in a SmartCentre. Easy place to get in and out of, with your coffee. There is also a fair bit of seating inside.“

“Open-concept Starbucks in the plaza underneath the Metro grocery store. Staff were friendly and fast. If you want to sit at a table, I recommend wiping down the table first. The area gets a lot of traffic and Starbucks is not responsible for them.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance with power doors and an elevator to get to the Metro grocery store. The tables are a suitable height people in mobility devices.“

Allowed re-use cups which is always good as some places bizarrely don’t. Prices a bit on the high side for a simple latte. The cookies are always soft and "flexible", probably due to vegetable oils used in the manufacturing process. The good thing about Starbucks is that they allow you to bring external food in and eat it with your hot, or cold, beverage so long as you're not ripping the ass out of it and there's free wifi. Good for all the usual basic meeting with friends and socialising over a drink.“
