“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. So the day was pretty perfect.🖤“

“The baked goods are very good. Amazing babka! Also, i got a little chocolate thing that I thought was a brownie with nuts, and it was so much better than I thought it would be. It was mostly chocolate and had some salty peanuts in it. I wish i had gotten more than one.“

“We found this place on our second day visiting Montreal. The bread was amazing and seeing it being made right in house was a beautiful addition.
Prices for breakfast sandwiches, coffee and bread are very affordable. Only wish we found it earlier in our trip to Montreal. Really makes us wish we lived closer.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect. My friend suggested we get a little sweet treat.
The croissants were flakey on the outside, completely stuffed on the inside (I had pistachio) there were more with delicious fillings but 1 was definitely more than enough.

There was one man working. He was very friendly and very helpful.

I would say if you’re curious definitely try it. The pastries were about $6 each. So not something I would do often. But it was definitely worth the try!

Made us feel like tourists in our own city. 🫶🏽

Parking: You’re downtown. We got lucky. There was a spot right away. But that’s not always the case in the area. So if you need I suggest. Just park and walk.“

“Mamie Clafoutis is my favourite bakery for sandwiches. Their bread is delicious and I can’t say enough about the ficelle sandwich with ham and cheese. It’s a very visually appealing shop but I was disappointed that you can no longer eat inside which makes a why I gave the atmosphere 3 stars. The service was very helpful, perfectly bilingual and pleasant.“

“If you want a great sandwich made by two lovely Italian ladies this is the place to go. Each pizza and sandwich is made with love no matter who you are. They want you to leave happy and full. This is an OG Italian sandwich place with a huge variety of cold cuts to customise your sandwich. If you want to try a legit Italian panino, this is the place in the east end.

Parking: Parking is easy on the street in front or close proximity.
