“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. “This bakery is amazing!! Everything is always delicious and the staff is all so friendly. I come here almost every week and look forward to it every time :) the autumn muffin, focaccia, and the toasted grain bread are all personal favourites, but you really can’t go wrong with anything!“

“This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.“

“Been coming here for a while now during some of my morning walks and it never disappoints! Amazing vibe and extremely friendly staff! They have amazing croissants and babkas and recently had an amazing savoury danoise from here. Without fail, their brownie is always something that we have regularly..it's the best in town! Today though, the big revelation was the Cortado! Usually I get the Americano, which is fantastic, but I tried the Cortado and it was at a whole different level! Might be my new favourite drink!“

And the rosemary and sea salt focaccia which should be available all the time 😱😍. I’m an espresso nerd and must recommend them to improve their beans or their baristas. No love put into the cappuccino - no art, too much cocoa and coffee tasted bland. They didn’t ask me if I needed it in a travel cup or ceramic as I was planning to have in store so wanted the latter. Service is too fast but staff is clearly trying their best.

I was very dissatisfied with the ambience and cleanliness - please work on that too.

“Was craving babka and this bakery was surprisingly still open in the evening. We got the babka loaf, a chocolate cheesecake muffin, and a rectangular cheesecake piece in the fridge section. The babka was pretty good, although I personally prefer the fragrance of the Montreal Kosher Bakery’s one. The other desserts were just basic, mostly only tasting sweet. Service was just ok, employees were speaking Spanish to each other and not that friendly.

I had the chance to visit Le P’tit Atelier, Boulangerie & Pâtisserie in Montreal for a late birthday treat with a friend, and it was such a lovely experience. The vibe of the place is cozy, and the pastries are clearly crafted with care.

I started with a macchiato, which was smooth and well-balanced—nothing too strong, but just right for a little caffeine boost. The tiramisu, though, was definitely the star of the show. It was so creamy and perfectly balanced, with the right mix of sweetness and coffee flavor. It was honestly one of the best I’ve had.

The passion fruit tartlet was also a winner—refreshing and tangy, with a nice buttery crust. It was light but flavorful, though I did wish there was just a bit more filling. I ended with the vanilla baba au rhum, which was super moist, but I found the flavor a bit too mild. I expected the rum to pop a little more, but the texture was spot-on.“
