First time trying Vertical Deli and overall, it was an ok experience.

I haven’t had a lot of Vegan food and after hearing a lot of good things about Vertical Diner, I wanted to give this place a try as it’s very close to my house. We ordered the Vertical Reuben and the SLC Cheesesteak, and I can’t really recommend either of them. The “corned beef” looked and tasted just like the “sliced steak” and while I’m not an expert with vegan food, I feel like the descriptions were a bit misleading. The bread to filling ratio was disproportioned where I feel like I was eating more bread than anything else, more so on the Reuben than the cheesesteak. The fillings on both sandwiches were lacking in salt a bit as well. The best thing about the meal were the fries that were cooked well.

The staff were nice and the restaurant was well-kept, so that’s a plus!

Not sure if it was just an off day, but probably won’t go back for the sandwiches.“

“Visited when in town for a wedding and Franklin Ave became our go-to stop. Their food is delicious. On our last night they were busy and we could only be seated downstairs. We sat at the bar and had appetizers while we watched three incredible bartenders show their talents with all of the mixers, tinctures,etc. Very highly recommend!“

“have been there a couple dozen times and will keep going back the HOSS is the best thing but it is the only thing I have ever had but everything is great the waitresses are all very nice and helpful but please don't take my word for it get there and try it for yourself it is the best place to eat it is my Saturday morning spot the one on 1700 south was there yesterday. So get off the couch and please get to Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade you will be happy you did... also get on the wait list before you get there it's a busy place because it is great“

“This restaurant is a gem!! It is nestled in the Avenues of SLC. The restaurant’s atmosphere is so charming- it’s in an old home that was converted to the restaurant. There are lovely windows in the front that you can look out onto the Avenue. There is outdoor seating when the weather is warm. The service is fantastic! Cascade was our server. She is exceptional!! They are able to accommodate food allergies easily. The food is amazing!! It is so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The presentation is beautiful! We had the Pickled Beet Salad, Fish and Chips and Mountain Hamburger. Again, everything was cooked and presented with perfection!! I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.“

“Was great, everything delicious and fast EXCEPT the initial service. We were waiting at our table for 10 minutes before even getting our drinks, then had to wait another 10 minutes before getting to order our food. An older guy started serving us who I think was actually the bartender was really nice tho and even gave us 2 free mint ice cream cake desserts for free at the end so that made up for it. I don't know why he was helping all the tables around us while there was 2 young workers at the front on their phones and talking to me it looked like we're only helping with greeting and seating people.“

“OMG! This place is AMAZING! If you're a first time visitor, they'll ask for your name, and then even remember you the next time you come in. That, along with their truly delicious food, is just 1 of the many reasons I keep coming back. Each day they serve a different daily special. Their meatball sub and sloppy Joe's are my favorites so far. Their chicken cordon blue is FANTABULOUS as well. But, it's more than just the food that keeps me coming back. Mandy, the owner, is exactly how 1 would expect an owner to be. Her friendliness towards every customer is more than just amazing. She, along with Lisa and Candice, make me feel like I'm much more than just a customer. I could probably go on and on, but, you get my point. Please come in and see all of this for yourself?“

“Unique spot specializing in potato based dishes like garbage fries and baked potatoes. This is a perfect place for anyone gluten free with almost their whole menu, including desserts being able to be made gluten free. Special shoutout to the gluten free fry bread with cinnamon butter.

Also we showed up 20 minutes to their closing time without even realizing and the employees were still so kind and not pressuring us to leave. Wish we were more aware for sure but the service and food deserves 5 stars“

“Roux is one of the top restaurants in SLC and needs to be talked about more! The space is understated but very well designed, the menu is beautifully curated, service outstanding and the food is always excellent. We've been several times for dinner and weekend brunch and have always been extremely impressed.“

“My husband and I had dinner there a few nights ago and the food was fabulous. My pork osso buco was so tender and my husband’s chicken provoleta was equally delicious. We also had the spinach and artichoke dip with artisan flat bread and the multi layer chocolate cake and loved both. My education is in design so I pay close attention to my surroundings. The restaurant is beautifully designed and not overdone and from what I saw every table in the restaurant has a view of the city. The flatware was the perfect weight and designed by the well known British designer Robert Welch and lastly the beautiful linens are manufactured in Italy for a beautiful soft finishing touch. All and all it was a wonderful dinner and the staff was perfect, especially our server Sam she was very professional. When we were leaving we saw one of the chefs and told him how much we loved our dinner. He informed us that they have only been open for a week and a half. We were really surprised. I’ve been to other restaurants that have been open for months and can’t get the food and staff in sync no matter how hard they try. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back and will be bringing friends.“

She immediately brought out a bowl of water, had treats for her, and was understanding when she exhibited poor manners ( jumping up and barking for more treats). We had the beer and poutine. The poutine was a large bowl-very shareable. It was mozzarella poutine, the gravy was salty, but delish! Would totally recommend this place, atmosphere was chill and friendly. Very neighborhood hangout kind of vibe.“

“Wow! First- the entire staff here were top notch- not one person standing around even though I came in at a relatively slow moment. Every single person stayed busy, but Cynthia was a standout. She was really pleasant and very attentive. She was doing it all- making shakes, running the drive through, taking orders at the front, restocking, sweeping, wiping tables, and literally had a smile on her face the whole time. Take care of Cynthia, guys!! Ive been to a lot of Apollo burgers around the SL and Utah Valleys (bc I love the Greek salad so much), but this was my favorite location. “We ordered 10 meals for an early lunch (11 am). I ordered online with a pick-up time of 11. They don't open until 11 am but I was greeted kindly and they were already preparing my meals. They had them to me by 11:10 with a smile and a great attitude. The meals were all amazing. Only a few of the people there had tried the restaurant and every one of them said they would get their meal again. I have found a new favorite restaurant. The food was fresh, healthy and well prepared with good portions of fish/steak/chicken. Thank you Flower Child! I look forward to visiting you again in the future.“

“We always enjoy Applebee's. We got there before the dinner rush and was seated right away. Our server was great. We ordered the chicken wanton tacos and pretzel sticks for appetizers. My husband had a burger & fries, I had salmon with mac & cheese. Everything was great, expert the mac & cheese. It had little to no cheese and no flavor. Next time I'll stick with the mashed potatoes.“
