“Whenever I’m in the mood for a cozy movie night at home without the hassle of cooking, this place is strictly in my top three options. Honestly, I must have ordered from here well over twenty times by now ;p
​Our go-to combination always includes the Chow Fun, either the Mei Fun or Singapore Noodles, and a classic Fried Rice, alongside one specialty dish and today, we opted for the Green Bean Chicken. Everything arrived piping hot, freshly made, and perfectly seasoned. The team is always so wonderfully warm and welcoming whenever my husband step in for pick-up. If you’re looking for high-quality, comforting Chinese takeout, Chan's Kitchen is an absolute must :)“

“As we're lucky to have so many authentic and diverse restaurants in Northern Virginia, we decided to give Chef Tan a try.

I'd say it's a solid choice if you're nearby or looking for authentic Chinese food in Vienna. While it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, every dish we ordered was good and the overall meal was enjoyable.

That said, with so many great Chinese restaurants closer to where I live, I probably wouldn't drive all the way to Vienna to have Chef Tan unless I happened to be in the area and is craving Chinese food.“

“The dishes are even cleaner tasting and less salty than before, and we love the new chicken wonton soup. The chefs have creatively used spices and ground halal meat to recreate pork dishes. Great for those who eat halal but also for those who don't want to feel bloated after a Chinese meal. We loved the chicken broccoli and moo shoo and will be ordering again for this healthier take on American Chinese food.“

Sesame noodles -- great! (but next time I would have them add chicken.)

“I was not familiar with this place but my family was craving for real Chinese food! I checked good places near and decided to try China Express. To be honest when I parked in the front I was skeptical but follow my willingness to discover new places but when I got in and received by a very kind staff and felt the yummy smell from the kitchen I thought it was going to be good! I ordered fried rice, noodle soup, general tso chicken and some house lo mein, it was extremely delicious! Food quality is top and service was simply amazing! This is a hidden gem in Tysons and definitely will come back! Superb!“

“Food is great, easily one of the best dumplings I've tried in my life. Everything is flavorful and really good. I like it so much that I drive there over 40 mins to eat with friends from time to time. The first few visits I had some issues with the service but it seems to be improving.“

“I love getting food from here. Even when I am not shopping in Ranch 99 I would go there to get food and grab some groceries while waiting.

The owner is nice and the whole operation is very clean. I’d say it’s cleaner than 95% of the restaurants out there. The owner is one of those “OCD” types lol. When you tell him how much you want for the dry pot (by weight) he would get to that weight to the exact decimal point. I sometimes would tell him it’s ok to miss a bit I am just giving you an estimate. Also he is happy to cater your preference. I love lots of veggies in mine so I’d ask him to put more veggies than meat. He’d gladly to do anything like that.

It’s spicy but I never felt it’s too greasy and the flavor is great! It’s not just done with a sauce pack. You can see fresh garlic pieces in there too.

Definitely a hidden gem. Better than a typical vendor in a Chinese grocery store. I wish all Chinese restaurants can be run with this caliber.“

“First time trying out the restaurant based on recommendation of a friend for Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup. Have to admit, it was very nice balanced taste. It was different - not as bold - from my usual prefer spot in Fair Oak Mall, which closed after Covid. We also tried the beef stripe and had mixed feelings. It wasn't all stripes but mixed with marinated beef, and the dish was good. It just that we preferred all stripes. Our waitress was very helpful and sincere. Good experience. “This was my first time ordering and I had a really great experience with Peking Express! I ordered online for takeout, and everything was ready when I arrived. I ordered the chicken lo mein, shrimp and broccoli, and shrimp fried rice, and everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were also really good!

My total came out to about $45 including the tip, and I even received 6 steamed dumplings for free! 🥟💕 That was such a nice touch they have online and definitely made the experience even better. The dishes were slightly on the bland side and it was a little annoying that we had to keep asking for more chili oil. It should just be on the table for us to scoop out! “This place is incredible. I am not aware of any other luosifen noodle house in the area. If you, like me, are a newcomer to this style of noodle soup, you are going to be extremely impressed. The bone broth is bracing, complex, and flavorful, far richer and deeper than pho or tonkotsu. Recommend getting it spicy: it brings all the flavors together without being overwhelming. Additionally, the Sichuan menu is one of the best in the area, second only to Mama Chang's and Hong Kong Palace. This place is pretty new and trying to get its feet underneath it. “Grand Hunan is a local gem located in the Westover community. I tried a variety of their foods and have always been consistently satisfying. The owner is this local small business is customer friendly and super generous in their portion and always trying to please every order in a personal way. They always tried to accommodate any dietary restriction in addition to their healthy items in their menu. They even catering of any size with generous portion and reasonable price. Highly recommend everyone to give it a try as you won't regret it!“

“Cool concept it’s like +6 kitchens in 1. They offer a lot of different promos on social media. From Alana pizza, I ordered the burrata and the bacon pesto pizza. The burrata was really fresh and I enjoyed the pesto pizza. From Di Fara pizza, I ordered the pepperoni, sausage and meatball pizza. Not sure if it was dough or the pizza was undercooked, but I wish there was more of a crisp to the crust. I found myself chewing longer than expected.

Location was really clean and ordering via the app was easy. There’s plenty of street parking around the shopping center. Prices are high for the area. I would definitely be back to try some of the other restaurants.“

“The Extra Spicy Dry Hot Pot is insanely good. I get one of these every single time I come to Hot Peppercorn, and it hits just right every single time. I prefer it with pork, but you can get it with any pritein you prefer.

The waiters are always extremely attentive and nice, the food always comes out in a timely fashion, and I feel my soul heal itself a bit every time I get the dry hot pot. Absolutely in my Top 3 favorite restaurants ever because of this.“

“After living in Countryside for over 40 years we never found this gem. Long time patrons of Cheng’s & Good Fortune restaurants we have tried many other local Chinese restaurants with no real luck. Found China Goirmet on a whim search and it exceeded our expectations!! The potstickers were tender, flavorful and mouth watering! The moo shi pork and the crispy crunchy beef were over the top wonderful! The prices were very reasonable and they even had bar service with extremely reasonable prices. Service was extremely attentive without being over bearing. We can’t wait to come back and try something different!! Well done!!!“

“Out of all the years of dining here in and take out I had never tried the lamb shanks - you see the stars ??? And I’m not even a big lamb person but these were extremely delicious, tender, flavorful, and the right amount of crisp to satisfy my texture issues with food! We arrived an hour before close time which meant we had our waiters undivided atttention - requests fulfilled in a timely fashion, courteous suggestions and good company to be in: by the end of shift most waiters/waitresses are ready to go the two who waited on us were a perfect energy fit and top tier at their jobs. The atmosphere was laid back as the rush and crowd was gone it was two other families there and it was quiet but not whereas you could hear others conversations but the perfect element to truly enjoy your meal. I will go to this restaurant until the end of my time! It was a weekly spot for my Mom when she was here, I can’t handle it weekly but maybe one day I too can live like her - but right now I’m the today I will afford it when my tastebuds crave it.
