“Tried this very special “takeout only omakase sushi box”, Edomae style ( use cured/aged fish, and red vinegar seasoning in rice). The executive chef, chef Ryo, has worked in many renowned restaurant including Michelin star sushi restaurant “Sushi Sho”. Before joining this new restaurant “Ltd Edition Sushi” in capitol hill, he worked side by side with chef Nakazawa-an icon of edomae style in Japan, at both Sushi Sho Tokyo and Sushi Sho Honolulu. The sushi omakase box and kids fish bowl are both very sophisticated, the curing and aging techniques brings out the deep complex flavor of each fish and gives each fish this extra tender texture, the taste profile as such is hard to find here in Seattle. Chef sake flight ( we tried Haneya Junmai Ginjo and Hidakami Junmai today), one is floral and one on the dry side, pair with his sushi very well. Sushi is in a very elegant wooden box and everything you will need for the experience including a separate soy sauce dipping dish is prepared for the guest. This is, truly, a perfect omakase takeout experience. 💕💕😋“

“We were in the city for an event and wanted some sushi before heading home. This place had great reviews and I can see why. It's pretty unassuming from the outside but the staff were prompt and friendly. The sushi tasted very fresh and the menu/flavors branched far enough from basic. We had a few items and loved them all. The ocean queen roll was my wife's favorite roll she's ever had. No alcohol available, but we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!“

Normally I don't like uni at all, but this is the only place that I have actually enjoyed it. The rolls and omakase always come out delicious and beautiful, but definitely give the Oita roll a try - it's great for any picky eaters in your party! The udon is also fantastic if you're in the mood for a noodle soup.

The one and only downside is that the location is a bit small and seems to be getting popular (for a good reason), so make sure to plan your visit accordingly!“

“My wife and I have tried Suzuki, Kashiba, Takai, Shiros, Ltd, and Taneda. When it comes to edomae omakase, we will choose Wataru every single time.

Despite only being run by a husband and wife duo, the service is on point, and Chef Wataru shows immense attention and care to both the customer's experience and to the detail of each individual course.

The ambience is very comfortable, and the portion sizes are extremely satisfying. Come here with an empty stomach!!

While the omakase price may seem higher than others, we fully believe the number of courses, portion size, and beautifully crafted + delicious courses are fully worth it.

Because it's the turn of the season we got lucky to have some new dishes.
Everything is totally fresh and light and the fish dishes were up to Chef Taneda in how to incorporate new flavors with fish that is in season. I absolutely love uni and I'm glad there were a few dishes with it. I also am not a huge fan of squid because usually it's so rubbery but this has been the best I've ever had! It was creamy and light!!!

Everyone was so so friendly and I loved talking to the chef! Also other reviews said you had to go upstairs for the bathroom but they have their own bathroom in the restaurant with a Japanese toilet that is heated and I loved it haha, it reminded me of Japan.

I loved all of the things I tried along with the sake pairing. I highly recommend going, I left happy and full!

Log into your tock account and go to the calendar day you want to go to and around the time so everything is pre set. Literally as SOON as it turns 11, I refreshed my phone and got my day and time! Everything was already there so I didn't have to go clicking through. That was my trick and it worked for me the first time I ever tried it! Good luck!“

Didnt have to think about the menu because everything was good even the bartenders choice drinks ! The staff was professional and friendly spoke spoken . I think they only seat 8 at a time so it’s pretty intimate and comfortable.“

“Note: We attempted to talk with the managers/staff before posting this, but we were told the fish was supposed to be this way. I didn’t think to take photos because we assumed after talking with the staff the issue would be fixed so we brought them the leftovers. We have been eating sushi for several decades and have never had fish that smelled and or looked like this. Normally we eat here in restaurant, but this last week we ordered and picked up. The tuna handrolls looked like it had been in a meat grinder and tasted bitter. The sashimi special we normally order had all kinds of connective tissue and fat clumps we had to try to tear off the meat because we could not chew through it. Instead of being soft the hamachi (yellowtail tuna) was hard chewy. I eventually spit it out in to my napkin. We gave up when it came to the salmon portion because it didn’t smell right.“

“Kazoku in Edmonds is one of the best dinners we have had in a long time! Their uni was an amazing experience! The sushi was all very distinct and delicious. We enjoyed the yuzu beer which paired well with our saba shioyaki but the egg custard soup was the crown jewel!!! Oh the silky texture and delicate flavor was my most favorite. It is such a hidden gem and don’t be fooled by the “fancier” places around. This is our go to sushi spot. We are unfortunately moving out of the Bellevue area but will still try to come back at least every other week. That’s how much we love this place. The service is also kind and welcoming. “This used to be a excellent beer bar serving amazing beer with mediocre food. Then it changed owners and they started serving solid sushi and still serving amazing beer. They changed chefs earlier this year and they are one of the best sushi restaurants who happens to serve amazing beer. They do sell out of specialty dishes (e g., Ankimo: monkfish liver pate) which is how it should be for delicasies.“

Most sushi bars tend to have sub par sushi quality but here you can order it specifically and have it made fresh for you on a conveyer belt that is up above the normal sushi belt. The staff is wonderfully kind and the touch screen ordering tool is extremely convenient when it comes to how fast orders take and calculating order total. The staff frequently changes soy sauce dispensers and ginger containers, while also having a slot you can insert your plates to reduce space.“
