“I love this place!!! Traveling North from OC area stopped to eat here. I read the reviews and thought I’d give it a try. These plates were so full of color, every bite was bursting with fresh delicious goodness!! I didn’t want to put the fork down 🤣 OH and let me mention the fork!!! I’ve never seen a fork so perfectly curved and held each bite so well that it didn’t fall off 😂🫶🏼 that’s a winner for me! 🥰
The atmosphere was very clean, well lit from the window view and the service was super sweet!! The price was just right. Portions were nice. Everything was perfect! It’s a little restaurant right off the street and if you’re not careful (like me) you’ll miss it. This is definitely a place I’ve saved on my maps for future stops! Delicioso 😋🥳“

“We came here for lunch on a Sunday and waited for 45 mins before being seated. There were only two women working the front dining room and since service was slow, table turnovers were slow too. So expect a wait but the food was very good.
We like that they have pictures on their menus. We ordered the dan dan noodles, the chong qing noodles (my favorite), the pork chop noodle, youpo noodle, and xiao long bao. All were good and portions were large.
I do like the spicy mala flavors and that's in quite a lot of their dishes. Mild still has a kick to it, fyi.
The parking lot is too small for the restaurants in shopping area as is common in a lot of Asian areas. But there are plenty of free street parking around.“

“Had a yummy dinner with great service in a lovely setting. We love the hot and sour soup here and the lemon yuzu scallops are my absolute favorite! Love the beef rolls and the cauliflower dish too. Truffle xiao long bao are so fragrant and yummy! Everything is always delicious. The sticky rice drinks are so good too! One of my fav toppings anywhere! Always a delicious meal.“

“This place has never disappointed me. Over the past nine years, the quality of their food has stayed incredibly consistent—which is rare and honestly impressive.
The Lomo Saltado and Pollo a la Brasa are absolute must-haves. Every time, they hit the mark. The bread and sauces they bring out at the start are also fantastic and set the tone for the meal.
On top of that, the service is always great—welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive.
I highly recommend this spot for any occasion, whether it’s a date night, a family dinner, or just a casual get-together with friends. Totally worth it.“

“Chichen Itza is a local gem; a real, honest cocina Yucateco. I often find that even if yucatecan cuisine is on a menu of a restaurant, it may be half hearted, perhaps assuming the flavors and heat won't sell. Absolutely not the case her
Chichen Itza is a small, but confident showcase. There is consistent high quality to the food, which is artfully prepared and served. The dishes include delicacies such as: Cochinita Pibil, Poc Chuc, Relleno Negro, Agua de Chaya, and others. Humble, basic ingredients from the earth and sea, crafted into dishes possessing impeccable flavor and soul.
For those wary of high scoville numbers, the heat is restrained, but you can lay it on too and enjoy the wonderful flavor that can be harnessed from the Habanero.
As it is within a food court, and there is the intensely popular Holbox next door, the smell of ceviche and other uncooked seafood can be present. Finding seating can be challenging as well. Do not let this keep you from going.
Park on the street, and ignore the line out the door for Holbox. The food, and the people of Chichen Itza are worth every effort to come enjoy.“

“What you don't know is the menu can be a bit redundant. Besides the sandwiches, everything is a variation of itself. I fount the Boureg to be some of the best I've ever had. This is definitely a lunch spot, the bites are pretty small. I like this casual, large glass windowed eatery.“

“A solid spot for comforting Taiwanese food. I ordered their Fujian style fried vermicelli, beef noodle soup, and pan fried pork baos — everything was beyond flavorful. Even the noodle texture surprised me by being quite “QQ” (al dente in Chinese). Also, the servers were beyond kind, constantly bringing me hot water and napkins! Definitely recommend trying P P Pop!“

It was a great portion, the noodles tasted fresh, the veggies were cooked well, and the chicken was seasoned really good. I choose the medium spicy level which was perfect. I will be ordering again🔥“

“Attended this restaurant for a late lunch. I enjoyed my time dining, very clean, they play Korean music. Definitely a place to bring friends or family to share food portions, I feel as if the price is justified due to the portion. Food + Drink about $40 per person. Soju berry highball is the perfect sweetness. Will come back to show my family this place 😄I really liked the kimchi! Below attached photo of bulgogi hot dish, as you may observe it's served in a traditional stone pot.

“I enjoyed this place a lot. It was a little bit hard to find at first, as it is located above the supermarket. The server was very friendly, helping me to find a good vegetarian option. The cold sesame noodles were tasty and refreshing, and the price is not bad ($8.99). The dining area is spacious and comfortable.“

“A super cute and clean dining area, friendly service and quality food, that should appeal to most people. However, I agreed with many reviewers that the flavor and depth of the Pho is just average. I liked the baguette in the banh mi and the quantity of meat was acceptable. However, the grilled pork was thinly sliced, like a cheesesteak and without a glaze or sauce. Although the food was good, it did not have the traditional flavor I expect. Overall my experience was excellent, and I wish the business well. Note: The restaurant is set off the road, so it is hard to see. They have their own parking lot, which is very convenient.“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

“Nem Nướng Khánh Hoà is widely praised for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine and warm atmosphere. The restaurant’s specialty is nem nuong cuon, a dish of grilled pork meatballs wrapped in rice paper and served with fresh herbs and vegetables. “I love this place! I used to live nearby and i stumbled in right at opening time my first day. they have a wait if you're going at popular times. Small strip mall parking.
wow, i became a loyal fan of the cheonggukjang, which i never had before. The owner is kind, and it feels like we're being taken care of like I'm at their home.
i am not korean, and especially at that early time 10 years ago I was often the only non-korean... but when they saw me eating cheonggukjang not bbq, i got some nods of approval 🤣 One korean man came up to my table after i ate once and asked me how i know this soup because it's controversial with even koreans.
But i loveeee fermented foods. and honestly, anytime i was sick this soup made me better in a day. I miss living so close to it, i have to make special trips to go now.
I tell all lovers of korean food to go here!“

“Wanted to check this place out with my boyfriend. It was poppin on a Saturday night, which is a good sign. We got the house eggrolls, the Kobe syle beef pho and the Filet Mignon pho with the original noodle (you have an option for a fresh fatter noodle) Beyond delicious!!! The broth and meat was so flavorful
The service was very fast. I have a sensitive stomach so I probably should have avoided the egg rolls because I dont do well with certain oils and fried food but they were so freaking good. Definitely recommend this spot for amazing pho. The other dishes people were ordering that I was able to see looked really good too.“

“Solid Korean spot near LACMA – great value and no misses
We were heading to LACMA and needed to grab a bite beforehand. Found this place with solid reviews, only about 15 minutes away, so we gave it a shot.
Walked in and it's cozy and welcoming – lots of Korean folks just relaxing with their soups. Always a good sign, right?
The menu is surprisingly affordable – seollongtang starts at just $13.67. We ordered a bunch and nothing disappointed.
- Kimchi and pickled radish – perfectly tangy and refreshing.
- Barley tea – genuinely the best I've ever had.
- Raw marinated shrimp ($8.21)– four pieces for that price? Incredible deal.
- Braised short ribs – highly recommended by other reviewers for a reason. Several big pieces, super flavorful, and even the tofu and radish underneath soaked up all that rich sauce.
- Beef rib soup – big ribs in there, no skimping. The glass noodles and radish were also delicious.
- Assorted seollongtong (#1) – tripe was clean with zero gamey taste, and the glass noodles absorbed the broth beautifully.
Everything hit the spot. If you're museum-hopping or just craving comforting Korean food that won't break the bank, this place is a great stop.“

“**Authentic Shanghai flavors are surprisingly hard to find in Southern California, but this is one restaurant I keep coming back to. Since its days at Fullerton Plaza, it has built a loyal following, and even after relocating to Rowland Heights, the quality and flavors remain as good as ever.**
This visit was all about classic Shanghai dishes, and every one of them delivered.
The **pork soup dumplings (xiaolongbao)** are a must-order. Served piping hot, the wrappers are thin yet resilient enough to hold the rich broth inside. Take a small bite, sip the flavorful soup, then enjoy the tender pork filling—absolutely satisfying. The true test of a great xiaolongbao is the soup, and this place has maintained remarkable consistency for over a decade.
First-time visitors should not miss the restaurant’s signature **giant crab roe soup dumpling**. About the size of your palm, it makes quite an impression when it arrives at the table. A straw is provided so you can first savor the abundant crab-infused broth before enjoying the delicate wrapper and filling. Rich, savory, and interactive, it's both delicious and fun.
The **Yulan fried rice cake** is a classic Shanghai snack. Its glutinous rice exterior is fried to a beautiful golden crisp while remaining pleasantly chewy inside. Filled with juicy seasoned pork, it strikes a wonderful balance between sweet and savory flavors. The more you chew, the more its distinctive aroma unfolds—a nostalgic taste of old Shanghai.
The **Wuxi-style spare ribs** were another highlight. Slow-braised until incredibly tender, the meat falls off the bone with ease. The sweet-savory sauce fully penetrates the ribs, creating the signature Jiangnan flavor that keeps you reaching for another piece.
The **stuffed gluten puffs with pork** brought back childhood memories. The gluten absorbs the savory braising sauce, becoming soft and springy, while the hearty pork filling inside adds satisfying texture and flavor. Every bite feels comforting and familiar.
The **shepherd’s purse dumplings** have remained consistently excellent over the years. The shepherd’s purse is fragrant and fresh, paired with just the right amount of pork filling. Flavorful yet never greasy, it’s the kind of comforting homemade dish that never disappoints.
To finish, we ordered a bowl of **sweet rice wine soup with glutinous rice balls**. The fermented rice aroma is delicate and balanced, while the rice balls are soft and chewy without being overly sweet.
Keeping a restaurant open for more than a decade is no easy feat. What’s even more impressive is its commitment to preserving the familiar flavors of Shanghai all these years later. From soup dumplings to traditional Shanghainese specialties, from Yulan cakes to shepherd’s purse dumplings, every dish reflects genuine care and craftsmanship.
For many longtime customers, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a taste of home and a connection to cherished memories. The address may have changed, but the Shanghai flavor that people have loved for over ten years remains exactly the same.“

“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.
Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“

“Jin Hai / Beijing Pie House has gotten better over the years. The lamb and leeek meat pies arrived nice and crispy with ample soup inside. The lamb flavor was subtle and clean with a satisfying smattering of yellow leek.
The three ingredient dumplings (leek, pork, shrimp) were supple and balanced. The thick looking wrappers were deceptively supple with a bit of bite and flavor of the fillings sang a song of freshness.
Glad we came back and will put this back in our rotation.“

“We ordered the large sushi platter to go. It came with three rolls, salad and soup. “Not bad for an all you can eat hot pot, but a few more food selection would be nice on top of what they have. $37 is a bit much for the amount they have. They have two tiers. Premium and Prime. Prime is $53. The soy sauce they use at the sauce station is more salty than the other soy sauces I've had. One of the staff, younger girl kept messing up with the soup base orders for our table and another table's. It wasn't even busy at that time. It's nice they do birthday discounts. Free drinks and ice cream so that's also a plus. Would be nice if they had strawberry ice cream instead of double cookies and cream rubs. They should add pork blood rice cakes. Parking in the back can be limited.“
