“This place truly deserves all the accolades it has received over its many decades of operation. Even though we had to wait at least a half hour for a table on an extra busy Saturday night, it was so very worth it! The service was impeccable, but the real star of the Bright Star, is the scrumptious food. From the most delicious stuffed mushroom appetizer, to the freshly made crispy salad, to the fresh baked rolls, to the mouthwatering entrees, everything was culinary perfection! I highly recommend visiting the Bright Star as often as possible. Your reward will be gastronomical!“

“We never dine in, always pick up only but it's a nice, calm atmosphere inside the restaurant. My daughter loves the shrimp lo mein here. All of the chicken entrees we have tried are delicious. The egg rolls are a fave of mine. The food is always fresh and hot when you pick it up.“

“Last night my husband and I ate dinner at Firebirds. Our steaks were INCREDIBLE. They could compete with Fleming’s or Perry’s. Our service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!“

“I’ve been to Ragtime Cafe at least dozen times now for take out food and dine in. I absolutely love all the staff. Their menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. I usually get the beef tenderloin and blackened shrimp salad. Their beef tenderloin is melt in your mouth tender and so flavorful. Everything I’ve tried there has been delicious. Their bartender V is hilarious, fast, and knowledgeable. She remembers everyone’s names and things they like. She can have a million things going on and still be getting drinks out perfectly. I wish I had time to dine in more often instead of grabbing an order to go. They are well worth a try! They have indoor and outdoor dining and can be perfect for a date night or a night out with friends!“

“We arrived for our 5:30 reservation only to find out it had not registered with the host station from the website. The wait was 1 1/2 hours. We stepped aside - my husband searched for our confirmation email and I called other restaurants to see where we could eat. A few minutes later, the young hostess grabbed some menus, said "follow me" and sat us at a table. We were very thankful. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. It was an enjoyable evening thanks to her.“

“I’ve been going to O’Sushi almost weekly for a couple years and never took the time to leave a review until now. If you love raw tuna rolls and yum yum sauce, theirs is personally my favorite and the best of all the other sushi restaurants around Hoover. I order the same dishes frequently (Roll Tide Roll and the Fantasy Island) and each time I go they present the dish beautifully, and a little differently each time. Today I got the Fantasy Island and the Sushi Chef presented it in the shape of what looks like a crab haha (At least that’s what I saw). They are kind of tucked away so they were one of the last sushi places I tried since moving to Birmingham and it’s a shame. Don’t let the small outside presence fool you, their quality is above par in comparison to the other sushi restaurants around the area! Also pictured below is the Roll Tide Roll ??“

Loved the queso and refried beans and my husband’s special dinner was delicious and portions were very filling!The service was great. Our waitress was extremely kind and accommodating. A nice atmosphere, white tablecloth dining, but casual enough that it made for a nice date night or a night out with the entire family. We will definitely be back. She was at the window, (every time I've been she's been there) and she was so sweet. She thanked me and just had a conversation about her time there. “Rick & I celebrated our birthdays with a 2 day stay at Ross Bridge! Shortly after we checked in, we went down to Brock's for dinner. Everything we ate was delicious and our service from Benjamin was absolutely perfect. We had appetisers: chicken flat bread & kale salad. Both were fantastic. Our entrees were steaks which were cooked to perfection. But I think the sides were the best part. I had zucchini and Rick had potato's and they were both awesome. Can't wait until breakfast there tomorrow!“

And, barring a few exceptions, staff is always super sweet. Our breakfasts were excellent; with a special shout-out to Wanda for making wonderful offerings (eggs Benedict, omelets, etc. ), and providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. As for the service it definitely could've been better as far as the guy behind the counter taking my order, he could've been a little more helpful when explaining the menu ECT... Lastly, the atmosphere. Wait! What atmosphere? There is no atmosphere. Seriously, go check this place out and then get back at me about an atmosphere. I'll let you be the judge of that.
