“I’ve been coming to Sanjo Sushi for a while and the sushi quality is always really fresh. I’ve dined in and tried their teishoku, which was very good and nicely put together.

Their lunch bentos are one of my favourites. They are great value and very satisfying. I’ve also tried Sushi Well next door, but honestly it wasn’t as good as Sanjo in terms of freshness and overall quality.

My only wish is that they offered a dinner bento for takeout, since I don’t always have time to dine in. Other than that, it’s a solid spot that I keep coming back to.“

Make sure you call to make reservations, it fills up early with long lineup which is the best indicator of good food around the world either Chinese or Western food.

“The food here is surprisingly good. Stars taken away because the place smells old. The lady waiting on us was very helpful in her recommendations. We had the Dan-Dan noodle(peanut sauce), Xiao Long Bao, wonton in chilli oil and my nephew had some kind of the chicken broth noodle which was so-so. But the rest were all good.“

“One of the highlights of the Joyce area, a small cozy home made kind of place. I'm a big fan of the Ume Shiso Onigiri, I keep coming back to it and trying different kinds of dishes around it. “The Port Moody Boathouse is a neighbourhood gem with great views of the inlet. We dined here on a Friday evening during "Dine Out Vancouver" and ordered the set menu. Our son had the fish and chips. He said it was one of the only places he knows that serves halibut as the fish. My seafood chowder was runny and not that appealing although it did contain lots of seafood bits. I do a better version at home from an old East coast recipe. My Thai black cod was good and my lava cake was just OK; the vanilla ice cream saved it. My wife has the steak frites done medium rare and it was spot on. We like this restaurant and will go back again.“

“My wife and I wanted to make the drive for some Pajo's. We expected to arrive 45 mins before closing, unfortunately with traffic, parking and paying for parking we arrived 22 minutes before closing. The staff was very understanding and very quickly made us $96 worth of food to go in 15 minutes and we were on our way. Excellent service and the food was delicious.“

“chicken kebab was raw. prawns were not cooked. when I returned the food and asked for refund I was refused, even though the chef agreed the food was raw. if my family gets sick I will be revisiting the issue. I have reported Chef Kebab to the health inspection agency for this blatent refusal to deal with a health issue I will let everyone I know including govt authorities that I was not treated with respect and if my family gets sick.... that's a different issue“

The facilities at the island Foot Clinics are very clean and orderly and you do not feel intimidated at all. I'd be bringing my child here as he is in need of a very good podiatist. “Where in Vancouver can you get a feast for 6 for $138, Cantonese carrot and pork bone soup and red bean dessert included?

Good portions as we only barely finished 3 of the 5 dishes, all from the set.

We had the set dinner (紅雞魚二食 十 3餸)

For the 3 dishes of our choice, we didn't go for a vegetable dish although we always needed veggies in our dinner because one course of the two dishes using the red eye fish has Choi sum and the other fish has deep fried tofu.

I think the set is still a good portion for bigger eaters than us.
