“Delicious & authentic Cantonese and Vietnamese cuisine! Everything was so fresh and well prepared. Service was spectacular!”
“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!”
“Sichuan dishes with real numbing heat—mapo tofu and toothpick lamb are standouts. Servers will warn you about spice levels if you ask. Interior is simple and clean. Good for groups willing to share plates. Parking in the plaza can be chaotic at dinner”

“We had a great Mommy outing. The glass partitions made us feel safe.”
“Delicious and unique food from a region of China we hadn’t experienced before. The owner and staff are friendly and thoughtful. They accommodated our large group and made us feel really at home. The Miao sour soup fish fillets and velvet mushroom dry pot, as well as the pork with clamshell buns, were particularly outstanding.”

“Great great great. Have been here probably 15 times and have loved it each time but tonight I had the braised beef noodles and they're over the top. Almost too good to be true. I'm going to sleep right now so that when I wake up it will be tomorrow and I'll be hungry again so I'll go back.”
“The pastrami dip at The Hat is legendary, and for good reason. The portions are massive, and the meat is juicy and tender. The fries are also ridiculously large—enough to share with two or three people. The place has a no-frills, diner-like feel. It’s indulgent comfort food at its best”
“amazing hot pot! generous portions and delicious food! we loved the sauce and snack bar too! and the atmosphere is so beautifully decorated with lanterns, art, and flowers!”
“Food was delicious, and service was great and friendly. Ordered scallion pancake, short ribs and soup dumplings it was plenty of food.”

“I tried the Mushroom Burger at Pharos Burgers, and wow — it was absolutely fantastic. From the first bite, it’s clear that every component of this burger is carefully crafted. The patty is juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The mushrooms are sautéed to perfection — earthy, savory, and rich — and they pair beautifully with the melted cheese. The bun is soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without getting soggy, which is more important than people realize in a great burger.
What really sets this burger apart is the balance of flavors and textures. The mushrooms add depth without overpowering the beef, the cheese adds creaminess, and the seasoning is just right — you can taste all the ingredients without anything being too salty or too heavy. Every bite is satisfying, indulgent, and keeps you wanting more.
The portion size is generous, and the burger is hearty enough to be a full meal, but it never feels overwhelming. Service at Pharos Burgers was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for grabbing a great burger without fuss.
Overall, the Mushroom Burger is easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time — flavorful, perfectly balanced, and just downright delicious. If you’re a burger lover, this one is not to be missed.”
“Outrageously delicious Uyghur food! Spicy Tiger Salar salad, Big Plate Chicken with potatoes and flat noodles, Samsa meat pastry, and Dolan’s Special Tea (herbal, floral tea with several spices were all amazing. Try something new and be surprised with excellent Uyghur food!”
“No frills, just perfect bread and fillings. The baguette crackles, the pickled veggies are crisp, and the grilled pork is marinated with a little sweetness. I always add a pandan waffle to go—still warm, slightly chewy. Parking in the small lot can be hectic, but turnover is quick. It’s a reliable lunch that never disappoints”
“Came here during happy hour and got seated right away. Our waiter was super friendly and we loved that they had a sharing platter for $64.99 for 4 different rolls and than we also got a Isa Geso. The portion size for the Isa Geso was so worth the price. The rolls were so fresh and everything tasted amazing. The garlic aioli was so good for the Isa Geso. We'll definitely be back for sure.”
“If you are in the San Gabriel Valley area you must stop here if you want amazing Sashimi. Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. Yum yum 🤤 ended with Kumamoto Oyster 🦪 it was so sweet like cotton candy in your mouth made me wanting more which I did order more. Lol 😂 The house hot Sake was good for a cold night paired so well with my amazing Sashimi! Great way to end my Friday night here! Thank you Chef!”
“To open a new Chinese restaurant in SGV, you better be good, or go broke. Auntie Qiu's specialities are legit. I was having lunch by myself, but I had to try their 2 specialties: the crab XLB and their pan-fried baos. Both excellent.
Order via the QR code. Faster. Or you can wait for the staff to take your order, which may take longer.”

“I’ve come here many times—it’s one of my favorite restaurants. The beef noodle soup is my go-to, but honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite because everything is delicious.
Highly recommend the dumplings—they’re handmade, and you can even buy them frozen at a great price. The server reminds me of my aunties, and the food tastes like grandma made it. It’s like a cozy Sunday at mom’s, and she just brought out the menudo.
I also love that the music stays true to the culture. They play Mandarin songs, not some watered-down English playlist. It makes the whole experience feel authentic—like I’ve been invited into someone’s home. I’m always happy here. 🥰”
“Excellent quality for AYCE KBBQ. Vibes are good and the service is very good here. They play great music (from 90s R&B to Korean house) and the buffet option takes this place up a notch. Jake takes really good care of his tables and we can’t stop ourselves from coming back. Our favorite meats are the beef belly, thinly sliced pork belly and the brisket. Def recommend if you’re looking for some quality AYCE in Alhambra”
“best indian restaurant in Alhambra.”
“Absolutely amazing. After a disappoint go at the Mancoras peruivian cuisine on main, I found this place in walking distance. Gave it a shot and the chicken is amazing. The #1 recommendation is have is the #1 Chicken sandwich (white or dark meat) it's by far the best chicken sandwich I've had. Easily blowing Raising Canes and all other chicken sandwich establishments out of the park. The balance between each ingredient was spot on and I could easily devour multiple of these in one sitting due to how good it is. 100% recommend this place.
Side note, for any people planning to eat here. Order ahead of time (sometimes it can take 30+ minutes) and avoid the wraps, go for the chicken on the bun instead. It's vastly superior because the wraps seem to be poorly constructed. The wraps seem to be overflowing with sauce which makes the wrap soft and weak so its, hard to hold let alone eat, without it breaking apart in your hands”
“Delicious food and good service.”
“If anyone is looking for a dish that will fulfill your hunger with a good taste great service and always clean. This place is located in Alhambra been to this place. I am not even lying over 100 times. Yes so we’re 100 times, and I am always treated with so much. Love 🍄 respect. They have a big big menu on seafood, and I believe they have some other options. Besides seafood, but if you’re looking for seafood, this is the place to be. I know they have specials on Taco, Tuesdays, and I usually go with. I believe number 11 or 13 which is a fish taco, shrimp, Taco, rise and beans and they add this spicy salsa which just makes the Tacos taste Steve better. I really love it. I recommended. I’ve never had anything else to be honest, because I just fell in love with this dish, so much, but I’m pretty sure that they’re dishes will satisfy your hunger as well.”
“My favorite daily go to HK cafe style chain here in Greater LA area, three locations, this Alhambra branch has a storage parking for free, nice quality as always to all locations, original HK style iced milk tea is original, juicy crunchy spicy chicken wings. Tomato Spaghetti is very nice as always.”
“went for lunch today, ordered some chillaquillas got home terrible a plate full of chips n green sauce terrible. also ordered a grilled cheese for the grandbaby gpt home literally was a small square of cheese in the middle.of the bread maybe like 2x2 slice. Needless to say I returned for a refund cause I'm not paying top dollar for food I wouldn't even feed my dog. The guy said the owner Rola didn't want to give me a refund but decided too lol n than minus the tax I paid!!!! so ur gonna keep taxes on food I ordered yet I returned the garbage. This burger spot used to b teh business back in the day I will not spend a dime ther ever again!!!”
“This isn't the Taiwanese 永和豆浆 Yong He Dou Jiang you might be expecting. This spot offers a broad menu of various Chinese cuisines. I just tried 豆皮 bean curd (cuisine from Hubei) for the first time. It was an interesting dish with a bean curd and egg mix topping over sticky rice, meat, tiny shrimp, and cilantro. I like the bean curd and egg mixture and want to try my hand at making it at home. 👍”
“What an absolute treat!!! Walked in here for the first time with no expectations & had a blast. Great decor, nice vibe & live music. Food was also great. Will be back.”

“The Thursday - Sunday late evening/overnight staff is amazing! I've been coming here pretty much weekly since July 2021 and they have become like family, especially our regular server Lupe. The night manager is cool and when he gets on the stove his food is out of this world! They got a new cook a few months ago and they are great with consistently producing comfort, especially the fries (and I'm VERY picky about my fry consistency).”

“The pork chop dish was delicious and so tender. Generous portions and reasonable prices.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Nem Nướng Khánh Hoà is widely praised for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine and warm atmosphere. The restaurant’s specialty is nem nuong cuon, a dish of grilled pork meatballs wrapped in rice paper and served with fresh herbs and vegetables. The dish stands out for its flavorful, fresh grilled pork and the crunchy texture of the accompanying ingredients”

“Coconut Jelly King truly lives up to the name! 👑
This is by far the best healthy dessert option out there. Everything is made fresh, using only all-natural ingredients and real fruit. If the fruit isn’t fresh, they won’t serve it—simple as that, and I love that standard.
The coconut jelly is light, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. Service is generally good—can be a bit slow when it’s busy, but totally worth the wait. The Tiffany blue decor and crystal chandeliers give the place a really chic and cozy vibe. Even the packaging is cute, and the little bear spoon is an adorable touch!
Bonus tip: Bring back 10 empty jars and get a free coconut jelly.
A perfect combo of taste, quality, and charm. Highly recommend! 🥥🍓✨”
“Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. And ordering was very easy since you do it through a QR code but you can also ask for a menu and order that way as well. Food came within 10 to 15 minutes and everything was very hot and fresh. The meat pies were really hot and filled with yummy juices. The scallion pancakes were very very yummy. I highly recommend getting the cucumbers. Service was decent but don't be expecting conversations from these ladies. They bring you your food and that's about it. I can't wait to come back and the prices are so worth it.”
“Going to El Vaquerito the past few days has been feeding me heart, mind, and spirit. This family owned restaurant serving good old fashioned, home cooked Mexican means is a star in Alhambra for me. I recently decided to walk away from domestic violence where I'm from---one of the most difficult parts of that decision is to eat food that I thought I could only eat at home. So thank you El Vaquerito, para haciendo patria donde llegamos. I can walk down the block y disfrutar la amabilidad y riqueza de su ambiente y comida. Saludos! Tu amigx, Gi”
“Just had the sunrise breakfast sandwiches & coffee for 6.99 for the 10th time - melted cheese, good amount of egg, perfect crisp & amazing price. It hit the spot so well this time I had to leave them a review. Thanks Ernie’s for making real food and letting me avoid McDonald’s 🤣 PS Call ahead your order for quick in and out”
“Absolutely love Nabemono Shabu Shabu. We were finally able to enjoy a dine in experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful space and great service. I highly recommend their sukiyaki and spicy creamy pork bone broth. Absolutely superb with their ramen, fresh veggies and sauces (ponzu and sesame). Can’t wait to go back to enjoy their cold noodles! Yum!”
“Every time I visit my brother in Alhambra we go to Vino's. It feels like Cheers. Everyone greets each other with smiles and hugs. The broasted chicken is to die for. Pizzas are so flavorful. Their Chicken and Waffles and Bellinis is probably my favorite brunch meal.”
“Let me just say that Andrew who runs Ohana Brewing Company is an amazing person. It’s clear he has a passion for both brewing and making guests feel welcome. The way he shares his knowledge about the beers and their brewing process adds a personal touch that really enhances the experience. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a chill spot to unwind, Ohana Brewing Co. hits the mark. The space is cozy, and the selection is varied enough to keep things interesting—whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or something in between. It’s a perfect local spot to enjoy a drink, relax, and chat with friends or even meet new people. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area!”

“My wife and I shared a beef burrito, and the Carne Asada salad. The dressing to the salad was really tasty, and the steak was better prepared than a steak I had any fancy restaurant last weekend. The burrito was just simple goodness … not too fancy or over done. This is a family owned business that supports the community. Support them … take the family to lunch or dinner You won’t be disappointed!”
“Our food was exceptionally delicious! Wonderful flavors and delicious cucumber mint agua fresca too! Also fun, cozy atmosphere inside too. You can tell when you’re there it’s a very popular eatery, and for good reason! I’ve been there twice in as many weeks and I can’t wait to go again! 😁”
“We came here for a family dinner with a party of eight and ordered both king crab and geoduck. The seafood was impressively fresh and the portions generous. The king crab was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the geoduck sashimi was clean, crunchy, and refreshing.
Service was attentive and efficient throughout the meal, and for the quality of seafood, the pricing was very reasonable. Great experience overall — would definitely return for another celebration or large gathering.”
“I was craving for Korean fried chicken, and happened to be in Alhambra. This was my go to Korean fried chicken place. I ordered via scanning a QR code, which was convenient. I got wings with Secret sauce and Honey Garlic sauce. Service was fast, and servers were friendly. I like the honey garlic the most, and I could not stop eating until I finished all the wings.”

“Salju Dessert has the BEST shaved snow I’ve ever had!
I tried the matcha, chocolate, and durian flavors and they were all absolutely delicious. The texture of the snow ice was so light and fluffy, it literally melted in my mouth.
The matcha had a rich, earthy flavor that wasn’t too bitter, the chocolate was creamy and indulgent, and
The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and clean. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended!”
“The drinks were good. The tofu pudding was legit.
Service can be slower as there is one person manning the whole operation from making drinks to punching cash machines.
The order app does not work when we tried.
Do note there is a free 2 hours parking at the back garage”
“Food was ok but the Portuguese Egg Tart, is worth repeat orders! Thats the menu item that I’m giving that extra star to rate froyo ✨ 💫 Will add this to my rotation of to-go for groups. Secret favorite… I typically pick up Porto’s Chicken Empanadas and Potato Balls with spicy beef but this is a great alternative depending on proximity or commute route 🏎️
Highly recommend you order in advance and do it through their preferred app, chowbus. I tried to call and also walked in but person working as a cook and handles the counter does not speak English.
I didn’t notice the QR codes placed on each table but fortunately had a nice English-speaking patron help me order. To streamline, I asked her to order the best sellers. The restaurant was completely out of cha siu so here’s what I ended up with:
Claypot with sausage and cured meat.
Claypot with Chicken, mushrooms, and spare ribs.
Two variations of the chicken soup with ginseng and emperors herbs.
And of course, a box of Portuguese Egg Tarts.
In terms of atmosphere, they went for a traditional interior design… see photos below.”
“Service - 5 stars
Lucy patiently explained the different options to us and shared her favourites!
Osmanthus rice ferment with fresh milk - 4.5 stars
Boba - 4 stars
Jinxuan mountain tea with fresh milk, no sugar - 4 stars
Tea could've been a bit stronger.
Taro pearls - 3.5 stars
Bit too hard.”
“My go-to Thai restaurant in SGV! Food is authentic Thai, and great service (accommodated to different taste preferences-more sour, less spicy, etc). As a Thai, I can testify that their food has authentic flavors. We usually order Pad Seew & mango sticky rice. Their salty garlic fried shrimps are amazing also. It’s not a big place so it could get crowded during lunch and dinner times.”
“This Taiwanese bakery has such a wide selection of pastries, it’s impossible to choose just one. My top pick is the sea salt coffee—slightly sweet and perfectly balanced. I also love their taro buns and brioche. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality. Best to go early, because the popular items sell out fast”
“I love the food my favorite is the linguine clams which is made with a white wine sauce but you can ask for red if you desire. Everywhere you go now a days is expensive but at least portions are large and shareable. It surprises me to read the reviews and see that people enjoyed the Tyson frozen wings they use to serve at Vittoria’s for years. I also would like to note that I love the antipasto salad and it doesn’t have only one meat as I read on one of the reviews. Also everywhere that has delivery service charges more when ordered on the app. Update: they are no longer charging for water. I can say that yes they are short staffed sometimes as well as many other restaurants have been ever since COVID. I really love the service and I will continue to be a customer for many years!! It always amazes me that people can’t see when it’s busy and aren’t understanding.”
“I stopped by to try them out, since I've always passed by here. I had the beef noodle soup, which came out quickly as I got there as they opened. The bowls are like giant copper ladles, which is neat, but I found myself accidentally touching the hot edges as I grabbed the noodles. The food itself tasted pretty good, the radish gave it an interesting sour flavor and the beef has nice flavor, tho I wish it was a little bit more tender. Overall, not bad, might come back again to try out one of their rice bowls”
“A good spot for some authentic congee and noodles, just like in Asia.
My Seafood Congee had a generous portion of seafood and the rice-water ratio was on point. It just needs the Chinese Doughnut to complement the dish.
Service is minimal and perfunctory. The open kitchen lets you see how your food is prepared. The feeling when I walked in was just like going back to the vintage restaurants in Asia. You're here for the good food, not service or decor.”

“I found Monte’s in Alhambra just poking around for something to eat one day. I live pretty close and had no idea it was there. Walked in, looked at the menu, and immediately knew this was my kind of place. Alexis runs the show here, and he and the rest of the crew are great, friendly, fast, and you can tell they actually care about the food. Everything on the menu looks solid, but I went with the first sandwich on the hot list the Legendary Chopped Cheese. It did not disappoint. Great flavor, perfect portion, and for about thirteen bucks, it’s a very fair price. The sandwich-to-price ratio is a strong 8½ out of 10 for me. The inside of the sandwich was fantastic, melty, flavorful, just messy enough to be satisfying. The bread was soft, which isn’t a bad thing, but personally, I would’ve liked it a touch crunchier to give it more texture. Still, the bread did its job and held everything together just fine.
Parking’s super easy. It’s in a little strip mall with a ramen spot and a few other restaurants. You can pop right in and out. I think it’s off the Fremont exit on the freeway. The location couldn’t be better for a quick, easy meal. Everything about this place feels right: great food, solid pricing, easy parking, and good people running it. Every sandwich I saw go by looked worth ordering, and I’ve already got my eye on the chicken and waffles, which seems to be one of their signature dishes. Monte’s is one of those hidden gems that feels like it should already be packed all the time. I’ll definitely be back, probably more than once to work my way down that menu.”

“Simple and straightforward menu. It doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed looking at the menu. Staff are super friendly and attentive! Indoor seating only. Very clean! Portion is very affordable, I ordered one bowl and ordered extra noodles and an empty bowl. It was perfect for my two kiddos to share!
I really wanted to try the calamari but it was sold out. So definitely gotta come back next time to try it.
They have good mix of long tables for bigger parties and small tables for 2-4ppl. They can adjust the level of saltiness of the ramen which is awesome! Never been to a ramen spot that has offered that before.
Ordered 3 bowl of tonkatsu ramen, karrage chicken, beef gyoza, and a Sapporo. It was all perfect for our ramen loving family! Definitely recommend you checking them out!”
“Eat’s Sushi Alhambra is hands down one of the best AYCE sushi spots around! The value for the price is unbeatable — you get top-quality sushi made with the freshest fish and ingredients. Every piece tastes clean, flavorful, and well-prepared. You can really tell they prioritize freshness and quality over quantity. The service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the overall dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for premium sushi without the premium price tag! 🍣👏”
“I got a variety of different tacos and a asada burrito the service was great and the food was amazing best taco spot I been to in a while it’s the whole in the wall places that remind u of a real home cooked meal with plenty of love will be back again for sure kudos to the chef they also have a great dessert variety for the kids and urself if u can fit it in lol”
“To be honest, which is a phrase I hardly ever use. In this case it fits, “to be honest”, I don’t think I would have ever found this burger spot!!! However since going there, I think you should too. The fries are 10 out of 10 very fresh and the burger (mines without sauce) is a 10 out of 10 to my liking. The customer service is amazing. I walked in and the first worker I came in contact with had a very pleasant and inviting smile on her face. The other young lady is just a nice and was eager to serve.
The manager showed me I was in a good place to enjoy good food along with good service.
The amibiance with the great service and excellent food is why I’m sharing this spot you should visit.
Also, I came home a reheated those fresh tasting fries and they still taste top notch”
“I love this place! My boyfriend and I were getting boba and the smell is what brought us in! Thank god for that smell of their amazing red oil looking sauce they give with meat. The workers were so kind and helped us! I used a translator to help us communicate and he gave us everything we hoped to try. It was soooooo good! We have loved every single item we have tried!”
“Impressive looks from the outside, very trendy and upscale. Inside is quite nice with great vibe and the grand showcase was the bar and TVs with sport. Very nice and big. Plenty of seating and 2 private rooms if you want privacy or big party. The venue has it own parking lot and it has a lot of spaces, plus there is/are street parking nearby with both paid and not pay. Service is friendly and nice but can be slow sometimes since our waitress was covering about 7-8 table with party of 4+. We’re the least of them all, only 3 people. Menu was easy and with plenty of choices from cold to hot dishes, from varies of meats to veggies and seafoods plus desserts. But once you order, it takes awhile for each dish to come…our 1st dish took about 15-18mins then 5-8mins for next dish. For some reason, our beef chow fun took about 30mins to it to arrived. By then, we’re almost done with others…we tasted and have it to go. Also, I asked for chilli sauce to one of the helper, she told that I have to ask our waitress, which was taking order from 3 differ tables. By the time she came by, I requested plus ordered another cocktail, then she went on to take order to another table. Then 6mins later, I got the chilli. Foods wise, not bad at all, the frog legs while delish but doesn’t taste any lemongrass at all. The eggplants are quite unique and quite enjoyable. The chow fun and the sweet & sour pork are good and just nothing special about it. The drinks are the best from my pov. All meal was about $135 w/o tip total. Worth it? Somewhat, but I’m sure there are other dishes will be a delightful. Will come back if we’re in the area to give it another try.”
“I'm from Guangzhou. This is the most authentic place I have ever been. Not most authentic in US but also most authentic when I'm still in China but out of my home time. Me and the friend who introduced me here are literally almost crying when tasting the food that sent us right back home. I have been there three days in a row since discovered it. I have never been so impressed by a restaurant.”
“The staff is great and friendly. The food is delicious!”
