“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“

“I love when you find a new restaurant and you can tell there’s love and passion built into every detail of the experience. My wife and I had an amazing time at Free Spirited. We met the owners Amber and Arleo and they were so friendly and welcoming. With regards to the food it was just as heartwarming. Don’t skip out on this spot! Also don’t be deceived by the menus! It reads for the omnivores in mind but everything is vegan and then you have to add meat, etc. if you want it. Their’s is pretty good, much spicier than other, portion is kind of small. My only concern is that they grind the pepper corn and leaving some bitter after taste. The restaurant is new with beautiful interior, adding a nice atmosphere“

Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. Yum yum 🤤 ended with Kumamoto Oyster 🦪 it was so sweet like cotton candy in your mouth made me wanting more which I did order more. Lol 😂 The house hot Sake was good for a cold night paired so well with my amazing Sashimi! Great way to end my Friday night here! Thank you Chef!“

“Went there for breakfast around 10am and it was nice and empty. Food came out fast and tasted good. Came with a lot of basil and cilantro. They have an extensive menu. Only downside is the parking directly behind the restaurant is limited to 5-6 spots. If it’s full you have to park in the parking garage“

“I’ve always passed by here but never tried it. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their spring rolls, takoyaki, and popcorn chicken ramen to try. The spring rolls were interestingly cut but very good. Crispy shell with savory veggie filling. Also came with a side of soy sauce for dipping. The takoyaki were crisp with a gooey center, topped with like a sweet mayo, and had a tender not too fish piece of octopus in the middle. The popcorn chicken ramen came with a BUNCH of MASSIVE pieces of crispy, juicy, savory chicken. Like can u even call this popcorn chicken still if they’re this big? Surprisingly paired well with the ramen which also came with came with green onions and pickled ginger, that helped add a brightness to the bowl and wood ear mushrooms, and half an egg. The broth was really savory but not super rich and oily which my sensitive tummy appreciated. The noodles also surprisingly stayed pretty chewy while I was eating them even tho they were soaking up the broth. This place is pretty good.“

Portion is very affordable, I ordered one bowl and ordered extra noodles and an empty bowl. It was perfect for my two kiddos to share!

They have good mix of long tables for bigger parties and small tables for 2-4ppl. They can adjust the level of saltiness of the ramen which is awesome! Never been to a ramen spot that has offered that before.

“Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. And ordering was very easy since you do it through a QR code but you can also ask for a menu and order that way as well. Food came within 10 to 15 minutes and everything was very hot and fresh. The meat pies were really hot and filled with yummy juices. The scallion pancakes were very very yummy. I highly recommend getting the cucumbers. Service was decent but don't be expecting conversations from these ladies. They bring you your food and that's about it. I can't wait to come back and the prices are so worth it.“

Highly recommend the dumplings—they’re handmade, and you can even buy them frozen at a great price. The server reminds me of my aunties, and the food tastes like grandma made it. It’s like a cozy Sunday at mom’s, and she just brought out the menudo.

“This is a very popular restaurant. There are a lot of Chinese and Western food on the menu. I visited it for the first time today. The taste is better than expected, and the portion is unexpectedly large. The frozen lemon tea has a good taste, and the service is also good.
