“Amazing food. Plate licking sauces, organic,locally sourced food. Korean fusion. Did I mention organic pickled everything. Enzyme rich food. Beyond healthy. Humble little hope in the wall run by a husband and wife team. Dude went to Korea to study with the most famous vegan nun chef in Korea. A must go to for anyone who loves food and especially loves fusion with organic and very well priced. He should charge Much more but they don’t.“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“I recommend Botanica to everyone. They use fresh hand picked ingredients and the food is delicous! Their cocktails and desserts are so yum. I picked up some chile oil and pickled local veggies for gifts for my friends! Chef Zarah and the staff are best. Will definitely be returning soon.“

“I grew up in this area 68 years ago and now live out of State. My family has a nearby home. While visiting, we stumbled on the Heights and they are the bomb! 5 stars hands down! They have excellent sandwiches among other great dishes. The sandwich rolls are the most delicious crispy French bread you ever had! They don't skimp on the sandwich contents no matter which one you choose. Oscar provides outstanding counter service and even let's me change out a few ingredients at no additional charge! Ignore any line, this place is worth any wait.
I would post my sandwich but it was so good I already finished it.“

“Bit of a long wait but we expect that on a Sunday morning. All family members, including kids, cleaned their plates. My veggie omelette was solid. Reminded me of an omelette bar! But the real star of the show was the hashbrowns. I’ll be thinking about them for the rest of the week lol. Our server was very nice. Honestly, all staff were friendly. We’ll be back. Oh, and my kids both highly recommend the chocolate chip pancakes! 😌“

“How did this quirky gem evade my notice for five years?! I guess because they're only open Friday and Saturday. This may be the best restaurant in Pasadena. Inventive creole-inspired food. Everyone raved. Only thing I would change is to have it a little quieter. But our four-top could still converse well.“

“I love the food here. Everything was delicious. We ordered the bread and butter, the kale salad, the clams and mussels, and spaghetti. The spaghetti noodles are made in-house. The butter is made in-house. The kale salad was soo good. The clams and mussels were in a very delicious sauce. We will be back!“

“Ordered the off-menu Pomodoro pasta and it did not disappoint. The tomato and petit basil sauce was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly.The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.“

“Hello This is a good news/bad news review. We frequent Only Place quite often. We probably average about 3 times a month. But it's not unusual to go a couple times in a week. Your food and serving staff are excellent. Among our favorites are Whitney, Bronwyn, Hanna, Jose to name a few. Whitney is especially great! Now the bad news. We were in last Friday and were shocked with the unexpected bright lighting. It was uncomfortably bright. Nobody needs that much light!! And considering the average age of your customers it's even more important to keep the lighting flattering. We had to move from our booth because it was so disconcerting. Please please please change the bulbs in the overhead lights. If you have to squint to see the bulb it's TOO bright. We loved the family atmosphere of Only Place. The new lighting level ruins the atmosphere. We're begging you please return to the previous pleasing level. Thank you“

“They may take a little while to make their sandwiches but it’s worth the wait. Fresh, delicious sandwiches. You could have a dozen that they won’t hurt your stomach at all.
They have a lot of options, cold or hot; they’re all great. If you have the chance try the breakfast sandwiches; they’re bomb.
The guys are always nice even though they’re super busy. Drinks are great too, I always order Hibiscus and not only it’s super refreshing but not too sweet. I wish they offered coffee in the morning but other than that, this place is great 👍🏻“

“Great cocktailsbatva reasonable price (around 12 bucks when I went) great staff, none of the usual having to flag down a bartender for 30 minutes, and REALLY COOL staff. It is cozy so it can be a bit hard to hear a conversation, but its a bar so yeah. Highly recommend.“

“I got two burritos and a veggie taco for $30 but it was so worth it. Very yummy ? and clean. I don’t eat out at all usually because of covid but we were in between hikes and got hungry. There was one cook and one cashier and both were wearing masks. Thanks guys!“
