“Came here late one night after a show in the city. They were able to seat us right away. Food is served pretty quickly. And it was really good. Recommend the fried rice, fried fish platter and halo halo. I’ll be back esp for halo. Be aware they have a one hour limit for sitting and eating“

“Stopped by driving down south one afternoon. Ordered with the app to use points and the order came in accurate and on time. Was told they where out of mushroom chicken at pickup so I added kung pao instead, very quickly sorted.

The bigger plate was well portioned, hot, and delicious, and the a la carte orange chicken was hot and fresh too. It was really busy given the lunch time rush on a Thursday (even by 1pm), but the staff was super efficient and kept things moving smoothly. Lots of seating for the size of the building and a wide variety of drinks available too. Great location.“

“I hesitate to leave a review lest this hidden gem of a place get discovered by too many people. I'm surprised there isn't a line out there door to get these dumplings - tasty little morsels of perfection. And the hand pulled noodles are chewy and so satisfying. While we thoroughly enjoyed the chicken chow mein, beef noodle soup and 2 different kinds of soup dumplings, we agreed that we'd need to come back and make our way down the menu. Many combinations of flavors to choose from.“

“I got the kid sized boba tea sundae and it's alright. Ice cream was more on the icey side. The sauce tasted caramel to me - I expected brown sugar or honey syrup. Boba was good. I'm not sure if it's intentional but the rice cracker was stale to me.“

The place is small, it can take a large party but I'm not sure how it is on the highest demand hours, but I got in just fine. The service was acceptable. Their famous chicken wings absolutely lived up to the hype—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated with a perfectly balanced sweet and garlicky sauce. Every bite was delicious! “This place is your typical Chinese cozy restaurant. If you’re looking for cleanliness like a PF Chang’s, this is not your place. There was a knat flying around. The women working were nice. The prices have definitely increased from the menu photos I saw on Google. If you’re coming here, you’re coming for the food and not the ambiance.
I ordered the string beans, eggplant, and beef pancake (apparently they’re known for this).
The egg plant was really tasty. I meant to choose the one with tofu but I ended up pointing to the picture which was without tofu. The egg plant was a tad spicy but very tasty.
The beef pancake was good too. I would recommend getting all these.“

“The beef noodles soup is one of the best in the bay area with the broth so clear and most tasty of all beef soup. The hand made noodles tasted so fresh.
The soup dumpling was steamed to order so it took a bit long but came out deliciously.
Would like to come back and try the chive cake and cucumber salad.

The golden lotus chandelier and the gold and silver wire lamp are definitely the best decoration! 👍The pastries here are also worth mentioning! “Good portions and a clean interior. It was pretty empty around 5:30 but started filling up by 6:30. Hospitality could use some work. No one greeted us when we walked in, so we waited about 5 minutes to be seated despite it being fairly empty. duck and mushroom soup was the worst thing we ordered. $10 for a tiny pot the height of a toilet paper roll, but narrower and with thick walls. would recommend to those who like stringy and still half dried mushrooms.

the pan fried buns were good, though they were on the oilier side. very fragrant, and tasted delicious with their vinegar.

the wonton soup was the best out of everything ordered and tasted quite delicious, but the wontons themselves were low quality—they were small, which is fine, but the filling tasted like fish balls and not actual meat.

the noodles were a bit disappointing. they were soggy and the sauce was probably something you could make at home with peanut butter, soy sauce, and sesame oil. their menu says that the pictures are for reference only, and that's very true. the noodles looked completely different from the picture on their menu, whether it was portion size, color, or even noodle shape.

they had complimentary side dishes and the spicy tofu skin was great. nobody told us they were available, though, and we found out when we were going to use the restroom.

“This was our first time eating at Soul Rice. When we entered, we saw how many people were eating in and how many people were picking up their dinner orders. From the moment we went in, we were greeted by Angelo who took care of us while we dined in the restaurant. We ended up ordering the Kung Pao Tofu, Walnut Shrimp with Pumpkin as well as the Chicken Curry Rice. Everything tasted absolutely delicious. We were quite impressed with the food, and definitely plan on coming back!“

“Solid Korean and Chinese food Restaurant. My husband and I favorite food is their spicy marinated raw crab so addicting and delicious. We usually order the crispy garlic scallops, HK noodles and crispy garlic string beans. So far majority of their food has been really good and tasty. All the staff are friendly and courteous. The owner is husband and wife they are so friendly and very welcoming so pleasant to talk to. Their portion is big“

I had the pork bone soup and it tastes salty but didn’t have much pork bone flavor. The quality of the ingredients were decent including the Wagyu beef which came out cooked nicely. 2 of us got to around $40 after tax and tip which isn’t really that expensive at all“

“Delicious food, large portions, affordable price. Run by the sweetest lady who was so patient and helpful. I ordered at the restaurant and I didn’t have to wait long for my order to be ready. I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about this place! I will certainly be back for more, after I finish the week’s-worth of leftovers. Just a heads up, it’s takeout only but don’t let that deter you.

Edit: came back again because the food was so delicious and affordable the first time around. This time I got general Cho’s chicken, tofu with vegetables (similar flavoring to the cashew chicken but no cashews), and pork fried rice (heaped with lots of pork!) I also got the cream cheese wontons which were divine“

“Went here right after a 4-mile hike at Muir and this place literally saved my life 😭 I was STARVING, thirsty, and about to die from exhaustion.

Perhaps my best decision today was ordering the Hoanh Thanh Mi Hai Ky (house special wonton egg noodle soup) and a Vietnamese coffee. Service was super fast and accommodating—they even made my coffee in a to-go cup so I could carry it out later.

My table neighbor got his food before me and his bowl made the WHOLE restaurant smell so good I lowkey started getting hangry like WHERE IS MY FOOD??!! 😭 (extremely impatient of me considering my food literally came out less than 5 minutes after I ordered 💀)

From time to time me and my father would have lunch there and chat with Benson and his wife. They're great folks and hard working. The restaurant is great, food is great, and the neighborhood that they're located in is great. Cozy and quiet, not too crazy, bustling but just enough to know that you can enjoy your food without rushing out the door.

“This place is as authentic as you can get. It’s a gem cause not many places serve rice rolls “肠粉”. This place is no frills - you order at the counter and pick it up there yourself. The food is served on disposable plates. There’s a wide variety of sauces provided for you to add yourself to your food. The special soya sauce is the best and most original way of eating it. I had the rice roll express special - it was alright. The wantons were decent but the soup was lukewarm and barely had any taste in it. The soy milk was freshly made in house. More effort could be invested in keeping the tables clean. Overall - this place is a gem if you’re looking for a real Chinese experience without breaking the bank.“

“I am very delightful to have found a Chinese cuisine nearby Marina neighbourhood! The atmosphere was very homey and staff were really warm and welcoming!

Food was so good! I especially love the sweet and sour fish. Quite crunchy on the outside but very tender and flavourful on the inside. My daughter who is not a fan of fish can't get enough of it!

We got a variety of noodles, dumplings and veggies. Our favorite things were the Dan Dan noodles and green beans. It’s located right next to Japan town in a cute shopping area.
