It has a rustic interior, friendly staff, and an impressive list of craft beers — both local and international. The bartender was super knowledgeable and let me sample a few before I picked my favorite. They also had board games available, which made the night even more fun. This is a college area and yet this one in La Mesa beats the one located in La Jolla so something‘s going on over in the expensive area where they’re cheating the value or the quality where you have El Cajon and now here in La Mesa much better quality service is pretty good in the atmosphere. It’s it’s giving me that Hawaiian vibe a little bit so watch out expensive living areas you gotta pick up your game and stop being cheap.“

“So many choices of protein and sides. Spicy beef soup really good. The cheesy corn so yummy. I love the two dipping sauces, one is more salty but really good. They are always jam packed but once your on the wait list it goes by pretty quick 😉. Parking is an issue but there's parking up the street for $8.55 4hours. We'll worth it.“

“One of the very best pulled pork BBQ sandwich plates I've had in years. Their vinegar coleslaw and scratch potato salad was so delicious we ordered extra portions. The Pig's Gig is located in the Liberty Mall, just a small cubical that's hopping. Just one fellow who is pleasant and rockin' it! Dining in requires a little hunting for seating, but once you pop the 'to-go' box it's so worth the search! Weekday there's plenty of parking, weekends gets a little hectic.“

“Disclaimer - this review might be biased as we are HUGE Top Gun fans and they could’ve served us rubber dog crap from Hong Kong and we would just be in awe. So..this is where the magic happened - the Great Balls of Fire scene, the Budweisers, the California sunlight coming through the windows, the connection with Goose’s family and Charlie, and one of the final scenes where Mav and Charlie reunite with “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” playing on the jukebox. We expected a bigger place considering the movie but it’s a bit tight in there…BUT the actual piano that Goose played and they all sang at is there, and you can sit at it and even play (and we might have sung a bit:) !! They have pictures from the movie, tons of nostalgia everywhere and you really feel like you’re in a special place.“

“If you're looking for quality Korean BBQ, then look no further than SongHak! We have come several times now, and we are always impressed by the quality of the food here.

Our favorite items to order are the Combo #3 as it gives a good variety of meats. You can see how beautiful the marbling is on the meat even before it's cooked, and you'll know you've made the right choice eating here!

We like getting some of their other menu items like Tteokbokki and Kimchi Pancake that tie the meal all together nicely.

“I stop here every time I’m in San Diego to see Chris and Chris (my favorite bartenders) and get my bbq and BS fix. The bbq is on-point for KC style bbq. I know because I grew up in KC. But before you walk in here, maybe you should ask yourself a few questions in order to spare this amazing place future weird reviews:

Am I afraid of bras? Will my life be diminished by reading a few irreverent bumper stickers? Am I put off by people who are unapologetically authentic? Do I prefer whitewashed, soulless, corporate places? If your answer to these questions is “No” then you won’t regret stopping here. If ya do stop, give Chris and Chris high fives and hugs for me!“

“Dual BBQ and hot pot tables if you have people who prefer one or the other. Otherwise I would probably stick to a dedicated place for BBQ or hotpot. It has everything and the all you can eat is pretty generous, it's just not as polished as some other BBQ or hotpot restaurants.“
