“I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the Bulgogi Rice Bowl and it was amazing. The price is well worth it because the food comes in big portions. The lady there was very sweet and we got our food pretty quickly. The place was empty but everything was clean. I absolutely recommend eating there!Parking: There are lots of shops nearby so parking right outside the restaurant might be a little difficult.“

“Nice little gem we recently found. Place was clean & inviting and one of the cooks did a great job explaining the menu to us. We ordered the cheese Katsu meals and the portions are perfect! Really enjoyed the salad and dressing that topped it. Bowl of miso and rice were the perfect touch to complete the meal. Cheese katsu was amazing and the food was hot and fresh and the service was great. Definitely going to put this on our list of "places to return to"“

“Really fresh tasting and good flavors.I got the large short ribs with egg noodles and baby bok choy. For $14 I thought the portions were really good, they didnt skimp on the meat and the noodles and vegetables made it a full meal. The bok choy in particular tasted very fresh like it came straight from the farm. Friendly employees who I think are also owners, she gave us a free water to go along with the Coke I ordered. Tiny little place, has a couple of tables outside, a few parking places of their own.“

“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“

“Called in an order today based on recommendations on Yelp! The person taking my order was very quick and helpful. He said it would be ready in 15/20 minutes. Located on Del Amo/Bellflower it was easy to find. Large lot but very busy as there are a few food stores there. There was a small line ordering when we arrived. Two of the six tables available were taken. I noticed on the menu board Wednesdays are $1 a wing day. We were served by a very friendly associate who grabbed our order promptly. My order consisted of 6 Garlic Parm Wings 6 Sweet and Spicy Wings. Garlic Noodles with Tri Tip and a Ninja Quesadilla The food was great, very tasty and spicy where it needed to be. Will definitely go again“

“You know a spot is good when the only menu displayed has faded photos of various dishes with no descriptions or dish titles. Only the real ones know. Every time I come here, I meet a local who’s been coming here since the 80s or 90s and it is so comforting to know that a place like this exists. Love the food, owner, consistency, quality, and history of this place.Run by one guy and one guy only, make sure to be patient while waiting for your order if it gets packed, maybe clean up the tables around you while you wait. Doesn’t hurt to help.“

“Sweetest, kindest family- most delicious food at a great price.We were treated like family. Young(sic?) is the mama who works the front and her husband was cooking.She gave us a demo of the whole thing but also ran off a few great things on the menu, we ended up with avocado roll, dragon roll, and a stir fry.About $16 a pound to build your own stir fry which we loved to customize. Veggies were fresh and well cut. They make their own soy sauce, spicy mayo, and teriyaki sauce at three different spice levels.I cannot recommend this place anymore, such a sparkly hole in the wall!“

“Happened to be in the neighborhood, so thought we'd give it a try.We ordered green curry, pad krapow and grilled beef "crying tiger."Green curry was good. Pad krapow was the best. It has just the right punch to it; very flavorful. Sadly the grilled beef was chewy and overcooked. It was so overcooked that it tasted more like beef jerky. A big disappointment.We will come back for the pad krapow and will try some other dishes.“

“This place is the bomb!! Will be my togo place for a bowl of delicious SeaFood Wonton Noodle. The noodles were chewy, fresh perfectly cooked. The seafood and wonton were perfectly prepared and tasty. Have to give the wonton a perfect 10. We also had their Hai Nam chicken rice, which was also delicious. The place is so clean, servers were super attentive. This place beats Kim Ky by a mile. Will definitely come back.“

“I love the vibes of this place! There’s a paper menu for you to check off what you like and your food will come with side dishes such as steamed egg and kimchi. The skewers come raw and it will slowly cook over the grill. You will also have a tray and you have the option to dip your meats in hot sauce, regular cumin or spiced cumin. Parking can be found in the back and you can also enter the restaurant through the back.“

“I love sugar cane & I am very open to trying new places with new flavors.I was in the Cerritos Area having dinner with my little family. I came across this place called Vita Cane. My daughter & I wanted to try their drinks. This shop is new & it's located in a strip mall near the other food & drink places. It's near Sprouts if you have a difficult time finding it. Vita Cane services healthier alternatives for rehydration. I chose the Mojito Orange Bang & my daughter chose the Coco Melon. As I took a few sips of the Mojito Orange Bang, it tasted very similar to this fruit called Calamansi. The drink itself was sweet & a little sour, but very refreshing. I want to try their Lemon Berry Berry cane & the Fire Dragon. The staff were so sweet & friendly. The ambiance was very vibrant. There is a giant mural & bright LED signs inside the shop. Bathrooms are clean as well.“

“Huge portions I got the Fried Noodles and Rice combo (not on the menu, small extra charge) and the steak and vegetables. It came in two boxes - one for the noodles and rice and the other just stuffed full of steak and vegetables (cabbage, zucchini) Only 14 dollars I think - with a can of soda The service is great - just one guy, and he's super friendly. Makes the food, gives it to you. I think he's making a lot of stuff to order so that's good - you can hear him chopping stuff fresh. Ambience is non-existent - but you don't care cause you're there for good food for a good price. All in all, a great, fast, inexpensive meal. Just so you know - it's just one guy taking orders and making it, so be nice and be patient. It didn't take very long“

“I met my friend here for lunch as it is one of his go-to places for Tawainese/Chinese homestyle food. He ordered us a good amount of things to try - including the Three Cups Chicken, Stinky Tofu, pork spare ribs, Tawainese sausage and buns, and veggies. We had plenty to eat and everything was delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with the food here.“

My mom and I both got the chili mee -- I got mine exactly as advertised (spicy!) and my mom opted to go with medium spicy. We also shared a bowl of their beef meatball soup. Food came out quickly and for $5.50-7.50 a bowl, the portion was generous. Presentation was great, and upon our first bite, we couldn't help but chime at the same time, "Mmmm. Enak sekali!" (Very good in Indonesian).The noodles were perfectly cooked and moist. It had a nice 'bite' to it, so no soggy noods here. And the flavor was on point. Even the beef ball soup was tasty -- simple, and it reminded me of bakso, which is beef ball noodle soup, a very traditional Indonesian staple, which is delicious, esp on a cold, rainy day. The meatball was super tender. We loved everything we ate and will be back!My only critiques are the chili mee was definitely SPICY. If you're a spicy food lover, you may enjoy this as-is. I enjoy spicy foods, but I did find perhaps it was a tad too spicy for me -- my nose was def running.It would be nice to see the possibility of adding protein to the noodle bowls, i.e. tofu or sliced chicken or even have the beef meatball as an option. Or maybe offering a hard boiled egg or soft egg would be delicious. Some veggies in the noods would be great too. Makes for a more complete meal.The other drawback was the music being played was a little too loud -- music should be background noise, not the star of the show at a dining establishment. “Hands down my favorite boba place, absolutely ecstatic i no longer have to go to Downey for it. So many flavors, so many toppings, so many options beyond just boba.Their specialty drinks are so tasty and cute– definitely make your friends feel the FOMO when you post a Traffic Light (three flavors and colors in ? ?layers.Also they're doing something no other boba place I've seen do: reusable boba cups with boba straws. When i went they said they weren't for sale YET so maybe sometime soon...Also they went all out for Halloween decor, which was so cute and fun.“

“2/18/24: 4.5/5Probably the best handmade dumplings and noodles I’ve had so far in LA and as good as most of the good local shops I’ve been to in China and Asia. Dumplings are hand made and kept in cold storage until cooked to order. Noodles are batched for dough and then rolled and hand cut fresh to order. The dumpling skins and wide noodles have the perfect Q bouncy chew texture. The dumplings can be either boiled, pan fried, or steamed. The shop doesn’t use MSG, which isn’t really a problem, but does mean their food is well balanced and just salty and savory enough. Their beef noodle soup is red braised and may appear lighter in color, but still packs a beefy flavor w/ perfectly cooked tender beef. Their in house sauces like spicy chili oil for wontons and hoisin sauce for beef roll are some of the best I’ve had and also well balanced. Definitely get the sesame pockets that have a nice thin crunchy shell. The pan fried buns are fluffy pillowy w/ a nice thin crispy bottom. The green onion pancake is good although just needed some salt. Think Noodle St still has the best beef roll pancake but You’s is pretty great still. And if you want a drink, try the fresh taro milk smoothie. The owner was super nice to talk to and service was great. You can order from the menu or they have a digital POS machine w/ Chinese+English and pictures.“

“The food is good but it is not worth the price. I got the pho combination which was 16 dollars. I would not mind the price but they are stingy with the meat. I would not bother coming back when there are so many other options that are worth the price of admission.“

“First time here and ordered the spicy pork belly bowl. I wasn't sure if it was gonna be worth the $16, but the food turned out really good. Good amount of meat to rice, sauce was savory/spicy, and you can taste the wok flavor. One of the most authentic things I've tried here in LA. $16 is indeed expensive. I'll have to come back another time when I want to treat myself. I finished the whole thing before I can take a pic.“

“One word: SPICY! If you want some food with a kick this is definitely the place to go. Fairly simple meals but lots of flavors. The items with the curry or the Vietnamese hot chicken were not joking about their hotness. It was right on the precipice of my tolerance level (but still quite good) The other thing I would note is the cilantro and greens are very fresh and very flavorful. Quite a nice treat after living somewhere without the fresh produce of California. Service and ambiance are moot points. The venue works out of a kitchen giving you to-go boxes with most of the seating being outside in the common area for multiple venues. Great for a quick bite though“

“A relative recommended this place for the hotpot. I'm glad we tried it out.The hotpot did not disappoint. It had a satisfying bean curd flavor and goes compliments the meats. The tofu skin was crispy and you can actually order some more to add in the hotpot. The portion was decent for a small group.We also order 2 other fish items that was also great. The seasonings were on point and goes so well with white rice.The menu is a unique collection of Vietnamese/Chinese dishes that are not found in standard Vietnamese restaurants in the area. I would definitely come back for more.The atmosphere really feel felt like I was in Saigon again for some reason. Maybe it's the tile floor. Maybe it's the customer service. I can't really put my finger on it.“

“I love the Chinese food from this location. Been coming here for years. I normally order the noodles, orange chicken and chicken mushrooms with squash! Their soups are also delicious I normally get it with shrimp and chicken. And I always make sure to get egg rolls. I come here frequently when I'm in the mood for Chinese food.“

“Came here on weekday for lunch special $14 Tuna Bowl with my elderly mom. Lots of people there for lunch. Saw few Japanese there to dine in so must be authentic. Tuna Bowl also came with some side dishes and miso soup. Food served fast and $14 included tax that is a bonus.“

“This place is incredible! I’ve only ever had katsu sandos from Japan at local convenience stores (Family Mart & 7-11), they were delicious however they weren’t super fresh and weren’t crispy due to having to be microwaved. I wanted a taste of Japan so sought out some Katsu sandos and landed here. It far exceeded my expectations. I got the Rosemary Katsu Sando with Spicy Mayo. The chicken was audibly crispy and fresh, the bread nice and soft, and the spicy mayo was the perfect level of spice and the perfect compliment to the sandwich. I got a side of waffle fries which were arguably the best waffle fries i’ve ever had, they were perfectly crispy and had a light seasoning that gave them an amazing taste and set them apart from the waffle fry competition. Nice portions on the sando however it’d be nice to fit in some more fries. I had a bite of one with berry sauce and it was too sweet for my liking but still good, i’ll be sticking with the spicy mayo (or maybe try the baja chipotle sauce). I wish they had more drink options such as homemade lemonade.Katsu Bar: 9.6/10“

“This is my go-to hot pot spot in OC. I stopped going to boiling point a long time ago. They have such a long line, pricey, and a small portion. This place always has a plenty of seats with a nice ambiance, and customer service is very quick and efficient. If you go there for lunch, they give you free iced black/green tea. I“

“It is a classic Hong Kong-style diner that's wallet-friendly and a neighborhood favorite. I've known JJ Hong Kong Cafe since early 2013 and just rediscovered it again! My boyfriend and I were looking for HK food and this restaurant came up on our Google search. Everything from the backdoor entrance to the window seat my parents and I sat before, the memories came rushing back! I'm so glad to see they offered all my favorites, plus, a wide variety of options from baked pastas to club sandwiches to sizzling pots - all of which reflect the mix of Asian and Western culture. We enjoyed 4 dishes: Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings 椒鹽雞翼, Salt & Pepper Tofu, Eggplant with Garlic Sauce 鱼香茄子, and New York Steak. We ordered to take leftovers home because we got too excited with the feeling of nostalgia. The portion sizes were generous, especially considering the reasonable prices. While everything wasn't mind-blowingly amazing, it certainly delivers great value for the price. I did wish the dishes were served at a higher temperature, or maybe it got cold pretty quickly because of the cold weather - not sure. The Eggplant with Garlic Sauce 鱼香茄子 was my favorite out of all 4 dishes - the eggplant was cooked perfectly soft and had a generous coating of the sauce. My boyfriend was pleasantly surprised at the New York Steak's portion and thoroughly enjoyed it! The restaurant is located right on the corner of Garvey and Ynez Avenue so you can't miss it. Parking is located in the back of the restaurant lot on Ynez Avenue. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great experience and took note they are open till 1 AM Friday-Sunday and 12 AM regularly. We will definitely be back!“

My wife and I decided to swing by a little after 12:30 pm on a Saturday. The place had a new layout but still the area. Their fish is fresh and doesn't have any fishy smell that's noticeable if the fish becomes old. Serving sizes are generous on all fish and mixings. The attendants where both courteous and listens to whatever you want added in short service was promptly done on all your orders.“

“So I am obsessed with teriyaki and you must know that I loved the Long Beach location. When they closed it down, I was sad and distraught on where to go now. When I found out they were opening up a new location not to far from me, I was filled with pure joy. We were in the area contemplating what to eat. First thing that came ot my mind was, of course, teriyaki. So we decided to make a stop. Like at any other location, the food was delicious. I ordered the chicken bowl with fries. Their fries are one of my faves because they season them with perfection. The new location was very clean and like always, the staff was amazing. If you frequent the hospital nearby and find yourself tired of the fast food, come here a place an order it's considerably cheaper and better quality then other restaurants nearby. Service is amazing and kind enough to bring you a fork if you cannot use chopsticks.
