“You can feel the love and care the team puts into everything they make, and they’re so welcoming every time. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, the almond croissant is perfectly flaky, and the donuts are a delight. Honestly, everything we tried was just perfect“

“After nearly 3 years of telling myself, “One day I’ll finally try a donut from Bob’s Donuts,” that day finally came—and it was worth the wait!
I’ve always been a loyal customer to my local donut shop in San Rafael, but today I had the chance to stop by Bob’s Donuts in Mill Valley, and I’m so glad I did. As I met Ryan Murphy, a young high school student who works there and truly represents the shop with excitement and positivity. His energy was refreshing, and he took the time to ask what kind of donuts I usually go for. After I told him that chocolate is my go-to, he highly recommended I try theirs—and I’m glad I listened.
The chocolate donut was impressive—great texture, rich flavor, and clearly made with care. Bob’s Donuts has a delicious recipe that sets them apart. They’re definitely more than just another donut shop—they’re a local gem at 252 Almonte Blvd, Mill Valley, CA 94941.
Big thanks to Ryan and the Bob’s Donuts team for a truly tasty treat. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Family stopped in while passing through. They were pretty crowded for 10:30am on a Friday, but service was fast. They have about 12+ flavors of bagels and about the same number of cream cheeses (also available low fat which is nice). They also have sandwich options, several serve yourself coffee options and bottled juices. I had a cheddar -jalapeño bagel with lox spread and it was the best bagel I've had in quite some time (including a recent trip to NYC). It's a tiny place, but I highly recommend.“

“Authentic Italian bakery. 1 product, foccacia, done to perfection. My Italian grandpa lived in North Beach and brought it to Sunday dinners every week. Now, generations later, a stop at Liguria is mandatory. But get there early, or you will be disappointed. 5 star best foccacia ever.“

“Tried two scones (cherry corn per review suggestions and strawberry blackberry) and a coffee. Both were great, but I’m still thinking fondly about the strawberry blackberry scone - you could taste both berry flavors distinctly and they melded so nicely with the scone dough. Best berry scone I’ve ever had - I’ll be thinking about it for awhile.“

“A must-visit bakery in San Francisco! The croissants are perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft, elastic crumb inside. The cream puffs and canelés are definite must-adds to your shopping list.
The only downside? The coffee beans lack a bit of that rich aroma—otherwise, it would be a match made in heaven!“

“Very small area to sit inside, medium outdoor area to sit.
Somewhat limited selection, bread focused.
Blueberry strawberry scone was delicious.
Chocolate chip cookie was decent and my cortado was not to my liking.
The bread looked really good, but didn't try any.“

“Adorable Fluffy Cakes and Classic Treats 🍰🥭
Schubert’s Bakery is the perfect place to go for classic and cute cakes. They never miss; their cakes are light and flavorful with the perfect frosting-to-cake ratio. I always get their mango mousse cake which is wonderfully fruity and airy without being too sweet. The chocolate cakes are rich and their princess cakes are neat and jammy. This place is a tried and true spot with reliable sweet treats. They always top them with adorable white chocolate candies and dainty icing. I would recommend this place to any cake lover; the perfect spot for an afternoon treat or a pick-up for a special occasion!“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“Holy Nata - 8 Trinity Place, San Francisco, CA
Let me be clear. These pastries? They're amazing. The taste? All I can say is this: walk over, order one, walk out, take a bite, and tell me if you didn't immediately turn around and go back for six more. It's that good. Holy Nata is not just a bakery, it's a walk-back-in kind of place. Don't say I didn't warn you!“

“You don’t come here for service or atmosphere you come for pork buns and pineapple, custard buns, and all other delicious Chinese baked goods. It is not cute or Instagramable but tasty.
Kid-friendliness: It’s not. Very small space inside for seats. The food the kids will love but not the best indoor space.“

“Food is ok, I got the walnut shrimp sandwich. Love the fusion idea but felt that it lacked the true walnut shrimp flavors (usually a lot more mayo and heavier in taste). The walnuts added a nice texture and the lettuce was fresh. Also got the huckleberry almond cake which was pretty unique and not too sweet. Would recommend this others, but not the shrimp sando“

“I haven’t tried the famous egg tart from the legendary Golden Gate Bakery, even after marrying my roommate, who grew up in the Bay Area for more than 8 years. The custard tart from Golden Gate Bakery is $3.75, which is a little pricey, and it's not my type, so we won't revisit again.“

“So many fun and unique flavored buns! I came here just to try their egg tarts ($2.75 each) and they were ok. However, the egg white egg tarts (also $2.75 each) are delicious!! Haven't seen these before.
On Saturdays it can get quite busy, but the line goes by fast. They accept Venmo payments too.“

“The best babka I've ever had. Incredible texture, chocolate quality, and baking skills on presentation here. I would go so far to say this babka is an achievement on the levels of the great SF bakeries (Tartine, Jane, b. patisserie). As an at home chef, I know how hard making things to scale can be and I commend the owner for scaling something this special.
Had a picnic with the babka pie, cake, and rolls. Cardamom, chocolate and hazelnut, and pumpkin. My personal favorite was the chocolate but everyone in my group had a different favorite. You can't go wrong at this wonderful bakery!“

“I've come here for over two decades now. I love to come here for the har gow. The best I've had anywhere hands down. The other dumplings are also really good as well as the congee. I wouldn't say the sweet pastries are all that good though. The staff are very efficient but minimal on the charm as is common with these kinds of places. Finally they brought back seating after many many years without it due to covid. Cash only.“

“Be a hero to your friends. "Wow! Thanks for the (fill in insanely good pastry here)"
Be a champion to The City, combat SFs reputation by directing tourists walking by towards the tent.
Be a fiend to your pancreas. Look at all those pastries! Let me count my Weigh...screw it. Pastry cream is my friend.
Be greedy. Eat and eat and eat. And, what is that one? Can I have one of those too? Eat more. When only one pie is left, don't say "you can have it" to the next person in line...give them some credit, they wouldnt have said it either.
Be spoiled. Never eat a Frenchish dessert at anything less than a Michelin listed restaurant ever again.
Be obnoxious. Tell all your friends "this is okay, but I know this Fren...". Watch their eyes roll. Roll your own eyes at their lava cakes and sacher tortes.
Be cold. It's the outer Richmond / Land's End region. Brrrrrrr.
Be glad you read this review now. The French Riviera is calling, and aint no one getting any younger, you know.
Minus one star for errant golf balls landing in the chocolate mousse. Fore!
Vegetarian options: Lookout for the meatloaf mousse.
Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant? Sorry.
Parking: So weird, it's the only place in the city with actual parking. Damn it, should have kept my mouth shut.
Kid-friendliness: Most kids are very friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the sidewalk, so yeah“

“𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 ~ '𝖙𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕾𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖔𝖓 (Sunday edition/addition) Okay, this one is completely not my fault. Whenever I do my laundry (Hey! I only have enough clean underwear to last me a month or so.) on Balboa Street in my neighborhood early on a Sunday morning (gotta make sure I am done by 10:00am for any NFL games that might be watchable... "Go, Bills!" today), I will normally head on over to Butter Love Bakeshop, which is just four to five blocks away along Balboa from the two laundromats closest to me, to get one or two of their awe-some fresh-baked items (and sometimes a cuppa Coffee[1] if I had not already made some earlier at home in the morning). Anyway, back to the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊, this is a post about 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 (it sez so right in the d*rn title, after all). They always have some great baked goods from which to choose, and usually make them with whatever is seasonal, etc. If I do not see anything that completely catches my eye, I always get one of their Monkeybreads as a fall-back, which are very tasty all on their ownsome, anyway. However, this morning there were several good items that I had to make a decision which to get. I ended up going with a Pear Cuppie (they call 'em "Cuppies", but they are basically muffins) and an Apple-Cherry Scone. They also had an Ube Scone this morning, which I have had before, and knew to be very good, but Apple-Cherry always trumps Ube, Donald. When I ordered my Coffee, the lady at the front counter asked me if I wanted any cream or sugar with it. I gave her my normal rant, "Never ruin a good cuppa with cream and/or sugar!" to which I added jokingly, "... unless you happen to have any 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream to go with it." Well... the main baker-lady in the back overheard me and came out with a pastry cream bag-thingy and asked me if I would like some of the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream filling that she was just getting around to filling the weekend doughnut special with... (No she didn'!!!) Apparently, I had arrived too early that they did not have the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 doughnuts even prepared yet and in the front counter display case. So, of course, I not only took some of the offered 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream on top of my Coffee, but I also bought one of those doughnuts to enjoy later in the day. She even had to make it fresh-stuffed for me while I waited. Let's see Dunkin' Donuts do that kinda customer satisfaction! _____________________________ 1. They only have Mr. Espresso, which is a decent enough local Coffee. And they only offer it as regular Coffee only ~ black or with cream or sugar. No Lattes or Half-caff-caps here; it is a bakery, not some d*mn St*rbuckery joint. I forgot to ask what roast/blend they were pouring this morning, though. Mr. Espresso has their roastery over near Jack London Square. One of these days I really need to check out a mini-tour of their operations.“

“This place is the best and I hope they never close! I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. Long live Jelly Donut!“

I ordered coffee and a ham and cheese croissant, delicious. My husband ordered hot tea and the number 7 which was toast with hummus, cauliflower and something else (he forgot). He said all ingredients were fresh and it really delicious.
If you’re coming to Alamo park or to see the Painted Ladies houses, i definitely recommend coming here to pick up a quick bite and bringing it to Alamo park for a quick picnic. You will not be disappointed.“
