“Everything we ordered was good. In fact we couldn’t eat it all. Your pizza was so delish! Never had chow fun wrapped up in little rolls but it was pretty good. Your shaking beef salad was good too. Definitely a dining experience in Asian fusion!“

“With its friendly atmosphere, great food, and its gracious portions Yummy Yummy is a hidden gem of SF's Sunset district. Despite not having the fame of its neighbors this family owned phó spot will always be my go to for a nice warm meal, and great company. My wife and I have been coming here for years and not once have we ever had a bad meal. Upon entering you're greeted with a smile and the lovely aroma of home-cooked Vietnamese comfort food. Monday and Tuesday they are closed but please stop by for the best Pho in the city. I always recommend the #1 ( a beef broth Pho) and the #8 ( a beef and peanut broth Pho) and if you need a pick-me-up the Vietnamese iced coffee will keep you going for hours.
If you have a peanut allergy this place is not for you.
Dietary restrictions: Not peanut allergy friendly“

“Top food, top service, simple atmosphere. Definitely a pleasant surprise for me. The food is worth the money. Ask about the portions, before you order. Two dishes could be enough for four people. Very recommendable.
Vegetarian options: Big portions

“The sandwiches are so good and so reasonably priced but I came at 11:50 on a Friday and waited 35 min for 2 sandwiches.
People call ahead and order like 10 things and there seems to only be one or two people in the kitchen so it can get extremely backed up. The really nice gentleman taking orders is very detailed and checks each order which also super slows things down.
Call ahead for your order or come before 11:30, or after 1pm. Otherwise it’s a complete disaster.“

“The best broth I’ve ever ate in my life. The Beef Combo Pho is the one I would go for. Perfect balance of savory, umami and spices. It looks this place is family owned and they probably carry this receipt through generations you can tasty that. Service is good, and fast. A must in San Raphael.“

“It's located in a slightly dangerous place, but it's not dangerous if you go straight into the store! The menu is diverse and the rice noodles are delicious~~~!
The portions were plentiful and the pho itself was delicious, so I went twice during my stay in San Fran! The second time, I ate the spring roll, and I was very satisfied because the filling was good and the sauce was delicious!!!!
Be sure to stop by when you want to eat rice noodles.“

“Decided to try Tin on a whim and was not displeased. One of the best Banh-mi in town with very generous portions of meat. Grilled Pork did the trick, charred, flavorful, I definitely recommend.
It’s pricey ~$15 for a Banh-mi but totally worth it. Expect to wait ~5-8 minutes if you come during lunch time!“

“The best bowl of pho I've ever had. They have freshly made noodles as an option and I highly recommend getting the fresh noodles. The broth is flavorful and fatty, big, thick pieces of flank, so fatty, so delicious. Also got the iced Vietnamese coffee and it is strong, highly recommend getting both those options.“

“The best Vietnamese food in the Bay Area! Prices are excellent. Get the Number 5 to sample everything. I would come here at least one a week if I lived nearby! Order to go if you don’t want to sit in the tiny 10-person space. The food is worth it!“

“One of the few true good Banh Mi places left that haven't gone bougie. Great BBQ pork, extremely reasonable prices, and the Vietnamese coffee is sweet but also still has a strong coffee taste to it which I prefer. Even though I appreciate getting in and out quickly, this place deserves lines out the door all day
Parking: There's free parking but it's really tight“

“Colder rainy weather has activated my soup craving. I recently stumbled upon this Vietnamese restaurant, and it’s going to be my new ‘go to’ for pho. Pretty sure this was the best pho I’ve ever had. The broth is deep and flavorful and they don’t skimp on the meat portions
The real surprise was their magical made in-house chili oil. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Nice low key setting when you’re looking to avoid crowds or ‘it’ places. If you’re a pho enthusiast (or just looking for a great meal), you have to check this place out.“

“The best pho in Marin! This restaurant is a treasure. Amazing staff, amazing food, love them! Out of all the places offering pho in the area, this one is the best. They always include utensils and everything you need when you order takeout. They even include culantro which is how you know this place is legit. They are quick and reliable, even when we are lagging behind and ordering 15 minutes before closing. They keep us fed and happy.“

“Highly, highly recommend this place (of all the banh mi places in SF and Marin). This place is a gem in the North Bay. I've been to both locations, but live closer to the San Rafael deli. As a Vietnamese who grew up eating banh mi (not "bahn" - please stop misspelling this word!, although I understand "bahn" has been spelled like this to make it phonetically easier to pronounce), I vouch for this place. It is wholeheartedly the best banh mi place in the Bay area. Growing up, I lived in a close-knit Vietnamese-American community, and my mother and another lady in our village sold banh mi, so I have a discerning taste for banh mi. This place is totally legit and super authentic. The french bread is just the right texture (light and flaky, but not dense inside). The actual bread in a Vietnamese banh mi is not the same as a french baguette that is more often dense and chewy (and thanks to French colonizers, they left the Vietnamese with french bread and amazing architecture). I know many places in the Bay area that serve more dense baguettes for banh mi, which isn't authentic. The filling is perfect and the right amount with no special brown sauce or gravy. Vietnamese banh mi filling is not sweet, but has a slight tang and citrusy flavor from the pickled carrots and daikon. This is the perfect example of Vietnamese banh mi. I don't normally write reviews, but I want to spread the word that this place serves very good banh mi. Another added value is the price of a banh mi that is 30% less than the price of other places that are now charging $10-13 per baguette. The owners are super sweet, too. If you happen to find yourself in the North Bay and craving a banh mi, or want to find an authentic example, this place is a must!
Vegetarian options: Has a veggie sandwich
Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly in a small cafe
Parking: Limited free parking in the front, but mainly 10 minutes spaces. There is ample street parking available as an option.“

“One of the best banh mis in the city! My chicken banh mi was so flavorful, with crispy fresh veggies, perfectly toasted bread, and flavorful meat. And it only took them less than 2 minutes to make! Super impressed and highly recommend, looking forward to trying more of their menu.“

“Wow, the food blew me away, it was incredible! I normally only come here for boba, but I decided to order food for the first time. My partner and I both got different rice bowls. We both looked at each other in complete surprise of how absolutely, mouth watering delicious the food was. So unexpected. I would definitely recommend this place. If you’re a boba lover, their taro boba is really divine. The other flavors are good too!
Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free options for boba. They also have vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of good kid friendly options like bowls and banh mi sandwiches.“

“#3 - Banh Cuon Thit Nuong (warm rice rolls with grilled lemongrass pork and mint), a true crowd pleaser; fried shallots topping an added savory plus.
#29 - Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), built off a solid pho broth, but could have benefitted from more lemongrass, citrus, sweet.
On a recent morning visit, #21 - Pho Dac Biet (standard combination beef pho) unfortunately came lukewarm with over-cooked noodles.
Overall, solid Vietnamese in the TL worth a visit; I’m hoping the disappointing experience with morning pho was only a fluke and not the standard.“

“Amazing experience. We phoned in an order for 3 dozen sandwiches, for pickup at 5:45pm for a Board of Education meeting (ordered around 2:15pm). The sandwiches were ready on time, and they offered to help us carry them. Everything was delicious and the crowd was pleased. Absolutely will keep DragonEats on the shortlist.“

“Wow! Real great find! Has a wide variety Vietnamese menu at reasonable prices with very good and quick service!
No frills but looked busy with many locals enjoying their lunch! We both liked our food and would happily return!
There were signs indicating they only take MasterCard & Visa, so probably no AMEX here. Also, looked like they had a $10 minimum to use a credit card, but that's not really hard to meet.“

“I’ve had many of the dishes here, when it’s good, it’s very good. The vermicelli bowl with grilled meat and all the toppings was extremely flavorful and delicious last time I got it. The meat was just perfectly grilled and had so much flavor. The bhan mi sandwich is also very traditional, with the pate and really soft baguette.
The portions are a bit small. And it is a bit expensive. But I guess that’s Marin county.
What I don’t like is that the ordering experience is completely anonymous and either online or through ordering kiosks that ask you a hundred questions. It’s like ordering with a robot, and it’s just unpleasant. Especially touching the screen that a hundred other people have touched right before eating, it’s not great. Also, the way the menu and ordering is laid up is annoying and difficult to use if you don’t go there all the time.
Part of ordering at a restaurant like this is having someone “take care” of your order, maybe ask a question, maybe get a recommendation. That’s not happening here. It’s just anonymous. And then they expect a tip? No. I’m not tipping if I’m doing all the ordering work myself at these prices. If you took care of me, I would tip you. A tip is for service. I assume assembling a sandwich if what I’m actually paying for.
The atmosphere inside is loud and not clean. The tables were dirty, the music was so old, and so loud, it was as if they were telling the customer “don’t hang out in here”.
And finally, the brief interaction with the person that gave me my drink and sandwich was unpleasant too. I don’t think she was happy that I didn’t tip.
I have to agree with some of the other reviews, sometimes I’ve gotten somewhat disappointing meat on my sandwich (which is my preferred item here).
Anyway, I do wish them well, but please make the stupid ordering kiosks optional, clean the place up, turn down the annoying music, actually interact with your customers, who knows, maybe it would help everyone have a better experience.“

“Okay rarely write reviews and here I am to support a small biz
I was hungover and looking for some food, saw this place online and tbh no idea what I got myself into and knowing the neighborhood is. you know .
Beef Stew Noodle Soup: $16
it hits it slaps, just so good 😮💨😮💨😮💨
I also asked for extra broth coz I love a good soup, the lady didn’t even ask me for $.
The soup was amazing and hits the spot !
Lots of beef and tendon given, very tender.
The lady (owner?) and her son served me, both are so nice, not good English, very kind ppl. It’s the kind of Asian food place you know the food will HIT
(Fits the description of Ali Wong’s show, iykyk
Hole in the wall, giant numbers on the name, mahjong table in the corner, etc)
The neighborhood isn’t the best to walk around, day time is fine, but relatively fine. Uber in and out if you need.“

“Great little area, food is super good, soup base needed nothing. I was gonna add in the sirracha, but I tasted the soup. Mind Blown. Perfect as is .There are huge portions, and I couldn't finish it all. Maybe because I drank all the soup.Would like to see paintings or even hear a TV in the background, the sound of the overhead lights humming is kinda wierd.“

“One of the few authentic viet places with alot of variety. Pho is on point and the BBQ sandwiches are fire. One of my go to spots in richmond especially on cold days.
Seating is a bit crowded on busy days as it is a small location similar to a hole in the wall.“

“Extremely surprised by amazing service. The food came out quickly. Vermicelli without broth was amazing. The spring rolls were a piece of art and tasted fresh, the peanut sauce was great, the manager suggested adding some spicy sauce which was great. The Pho version (or vermicelli with broth) they make was ok. We are used to more traditional versions but probably we should have picked the raw meat one to truly compare. The atmosphere was ok. Frequent visits from the delivery drivers are distracting, keeps the door constantly open and kills the vibe - a little rearrangement can solve it“

“Went here for a late dinner out of the blue while exploring Polk Gulch. There are many Asian restaurants in the area and I'm so happy we chose Hoi An. The service was great, no wait time. Seats by the window with outdoor seating options as well.
We had the Vietnamese Noodle dish with Filet and it was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. Also had the vegetarian tofu curry with rice and that was great as well.
Vegetarian options: We had the tofu red curry over rice and the texture and flavor was rich and excellent for a good price. There were several other vegetarian and pescatarian options in the menu but as well as meat dishes. Something for everyone, good for taking a group and sharing dishes.“
