My family is not gluten free and they enjoy their food as much as I do. I highly recommend Mezzaluna as their food and service is unmatched. We gladly drive from San Francisco to Pacific Grove to enjoy their daily specials.”

“I tried something new today, the hot Turkey open face sandwich smothered in a wonderful mushroom gravy. OMG 😱 So good ! And my salad was the perfect size to complement the large portion of the hot Turkey. I added a little Tabasco cause that what I do. I thought I was finished until the little waitress offered dessert 🍨. I ordered a piece of their home made apple 🍎 pie 🎉🎊😱. People let me tell you this is a bucket lister. With out a doubt the best apple pie I have ever had. And yes they make it from scratch. Great lunch experience today ! I ordered a piece of pie for a friend who is not feeling well and dropped it off to her. Thanks Victorian Corner for such a pleasant atmosphere to have my lunch 🙏.”

“What a beautifully quaint place with AMAZING eats!

I am a breakfast snob and am so glad I found this place. I had the Lemon & Ricotta pancakes. WOW. My hubby had the hearty plate with 2 eggs, sausage, PERFECTLY crisp and salted potatoes and a beautiful biscuit plus a side of crispy perfect bacon.
So siimple but soooo yummy thanks to their care to details.

It is close quarters, so you'll need to be comfy with tight tables and close quarters. Also, we initially chose the place because it had outdoor seating and we wanted to bring our dog. However, it was a bit drizzly so we decided to leave the dog in the car. Worked out fine because there was only 1 large and two 2 seater sidewalk tables. All occupied at the time of our arrival.

Service was fine. Nothing notable, but certainly nice people. The ambiance and food bring me to a 5 out of 5.”

“Don’t let the outside fool you… it’s a charming little Italian feel inside with the sweetest hospitality (young woman with butterfly tattoo/hat was extremely caring about her job and the customers).we were going to order “to go” but it was so quaint inside we decided to stay. The best part was the food! The calzone was the perfect texture of cooked dough, thick cheese, perfect sauce and overall just melted in my mouth with goodness! Also got a fresh salad and a barbecue chicken flatbread which were just as rave worthy! It was nice to step away from the busy Cannery Row vibe to enjoy a great meal experience. Wishing I was a local to enjoy never ending chances at good Italian food!”

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.”

Vegetarian options: From what we saw, experienced, and tasted, it's definitely worth looking at their menu online.

Dietary restrictions: While I don't have dietary restrictions, my wife was able to order a cappuccino with I believe almond milk. It appeared as though they had many options.

Parking: Ample parking, easy walk into the facility.

Kid-friendliness: Nice clean, safe, open, bright environment.

Wheelchair accessibility: We used parking for those with disabilities, very close to the door, super easy wide entry way that seems easily wheelchair or powerchair accessible.”

“We were driving through Pacific Grove and we were going to drive to Carmel for sushi but we said how about right here and we looked up Sushi in PG and we saw Zum . What a wonderful lunch, very fresh and high quality food, service and ambience. Love this place!!”

“Went here on a whim while visiting Monterey and zero regrets! Best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had and my best friend has not stopped raving about the chocolate eclair. (I think it might have changed her life.) Extremely reasonable prices and very friendly staff. There was a long line, but for a reason. They kept it moving however, and everything inside this bakery is worth the time. I can’t wait to try the sourdough loaf I brought home as well. Highly recommend this great bakery and will make it a point to visit whenever we’re on the peninsula.”

“This is our second year coming to Beach House restaurant to celebrate my husband's Birthday. The restaurant has beautiful views both inside dining and outdoor. The food is delicious and service is great. This time was no different. The ONLY thing that kept me from giving 5 stars on the food was I had the Korean BBQ plate. Everything was delicious flavor , however the meat was supposed to be “Prime Rib chuncks”, the meat didn't taste like prime rib and it certainly didn't have the tenderness of prime rib. Perhaps use a different cut of meat that would better suit this dish. The flavor of the meat and the Kimchi Risotto was fantastic! See you next year!”
