“Surprisingly good chinese food and french fries. I was expecting nothing - it’s a pier and a little chinese fast-food stand.

We had the chicken and broccoli and it was plentiful and flavorful. The noodles and steamed rice (1/2 and 1/2 plate) were standard and good. The French fries, while frozen crinkle cut fries were salty and delicious. Make sure to ask for them extra crispy.

The woman at the register was kind and polite and even gave us a glass of ice water. Most places like this aren’t this solid.“

“I love Panda Express as much as the next guy, but as I’m absolutely destroying my plate, I notice something on my noods. I notice that there’s some kind of paper material stuck to it. At first, i thought maybe I had dropped some straw wrapper in my food, & thought nothing of it. But as I continued eating, I noticed another noodle with paper on it. Come to find out, the packaging of the meal was peeling due to the heat of the meal. The chow mein had come out fresh, so I know it was pretty warm. The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. “This place is a hidden gem and a longtime staple of Inglewood. As the neighborhood continues to change and become more gentrified, it still stands as classic that the local community genuinely loves. I’m really glad it’s still here and honestly hope it never leaves—people would be devastated if it did.

The food is amazing for locals who want a balance: lots of vegetables with just the right hint of fried and sweet flavors. Everything is hot, ready, and right in front of you. When ordering, it’s a little difficult to tell them what you want because eye sight is blocked by supplies, you have to point at what you want through the glass, and talk loud, the staff is older, but they’ve been doing this for a very long time. They are always generous so they should understand what you want. One plate is easily enough to feed two people. I can never finish a full plate myself and usually end up getting small boxes for everything. Prices are great, and contactless payment is available.

The vibe is small, quiet, and low-key. Seating is limited, with a couple of small tables and one table for four, which adds to the charm. It really does feel like a neighborhood spot rather than a tourist stop—Google Maps usually pushes Randy’s Donuts first, and honestly, we kind of want to keep it that way. People avoid it because they see “Donuts” and that’s how we like it.

I’ve been coming here for years. I remember when they had the donut side, which is gone now. I even brought my first girlfriend here, and I still come back every few months.

Whenever someone tells me they are coming to Inglewood, I always recommend three places: Randy’s Chinese Food, Bravo’s breakfast, and Tumby’s pizza. These places have been around forever, and they’re a big part of what makes Inglewood feel like home.“

“I've had their Chow mein at friendsgiving and it was one of the best I've had. Just happened to be in the area and had to try some other entrees. Unfortunately the friend that brought it over took longer to reply on recommendations, but the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken were delicious. “My family and I typically have Golden Phoenix a few times a year and it never disappoints. Definitely the best Chinese restaurant around and all of the meats, chow mein and variations of rice are delicious. My personal favorite is the Spicy Beef, which I would always recommend. “Me and the the fam do laundry across the street so naturally the wife want her Starbucks. Always passed by this place and it just caught my eye. Don’t know why. I took a menu from the spot and kept it in the glove compartment for some time. One day I was coming down from some acid and was hungry like a mofo. Oh before I say anything more I must mention that when I saw the menu I saw they had shrimp fried rice and that is all it took to seal the deal. However, I am VERY SKETCH on my shrimp fried rice. I only get it from one spot and it’s been like that for around 13 years. Anywho. Coming down from that and I said “screw it! Let’s try it” got the shrimp fried rice and the lunch special of orange chicken. The sfr was dank! Wont compare it to the other but honestly I was impressed. My wife said the orange chicken was ok and that the chicken was hard. I tried it I loved the sauce and the fried rice…well I had just tried it so no difference. I told her that I kinda saw that coming from the chicken bc of the big menu that they have so that is the only negative but I will definitely mess with this place again! Oh the service was quick and straight to the point. The way it should be.“

“Walk in to the host stand, and tell them how many people are in your party, and what you would like to drink.

While busy, you never wait more than 10 or 15 minutes for busy times.

From there, they walk you to your table, and you can all you can eat buffet style. They have a lot of american chinese food fare as well as American food for any picky eater friends.

I always get the hot tea.
The hot and sour soup is very good, the shumai is very good. Try a little bit of everything.

“I've been coming here for a few years and the food is always great and the service is always wonderful. They're so helpful and welcoming. It's just a straight up, old school, Chinese restaurant serving up the classics. Portion sizes are pretty big and always tasty. I have not had a bad experience here yet. Nothing bad to say about this place at all.“

“I will definitely recommend this place for all ages. I grew up on Chinese food restaurants and they have gradually disappeared. But found one of the best lo mein noodles in Playa Vista. So yummy!!! You need to stop by because the menu has such fresh food to order. I love the spicy marinated cucumbers. If you love Chinese then this is the modern version but with those big noodles that we grew up on. YUMMY!!!“

“I was searching for Chinese fast food and found this place. Conveniently located not far from the airport and the owner was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pork short rib (soy glazed), fried chicken wings (sweet and sour), and curry chicken (very flavorful). Since I got there 30 mins before closure, one third of the entrees were sold out but I’m still pleased with the what I got. I would recommend both curry chicken and chicken wings, the pork ribs are a little bit saltier to my preference.

Would consider coming back and try their rice or noodle next time!“

I have been to many Northern Cafes and have been looking forward to this one. I noticed most of the reviews were about dumplings and realized this one is more specialized for dumplings (boiled, pan-fried and steamed XLB varieties.

I was hoping for the noodle specialties like the one in Gardena (which is my favorite in the region, 10 min more drive for me).

We ordered:
- crab dumplings- steamed, XLB style, it was pretty good
- lamb dumplings- pan fried, it was ok, a little oily
- beef noodle soup- it was ok, they only served with thin noodles, we preferred other handmade varieties at the Gardena store

We also ordered the beef rolls to go, it looked exact like the ones shown on the poster, ha ha.

Overall, pretty good if you are hungry dumplings!“
