“Amazing. A-maz-ing!! AMAZING.Did I mention this place is amazing?I don't need to write anything except "amazing."Rotating tasting menu. 4 courses, whatever they're making and all tables served the same courses. The one constant is the second course is always an arepa, as a nod to the previous Latin America restaurant that occupied that space for generations.Last night, we enjoyed a green bean salad, arepa with the BEST chorizo I have had on this side of the Atlantic and a lamb shank that was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful.Amazing meal, amazing service, super cozy place, reservations available through Resy. Booked out, like 2-3 weeks.“
“Fine dining price & portion but slightly underwhelming. Everything was good but not WOW. Service was mehWe enjoyed the bluefin tuna tostada and the sakura toast the most. The strawberry scallops were also great.Overall overpriced for what it is.Atmosphere was nice though.“
“I love Outerlands, it's a beautiful, small and cozy space and at dinner time it is lit just right. We were a large group seated by the window, and the service was truly impeccable. The String Theory & River Crossing cocktails are two of the best drinks I've ever had, anywhere. They make that aperitivo rossa themselves, OMG. Balanced perfection and, oh, just SO GOOD! Outstanding mixology. The starters were great (esp the kohlrabi salad--GET IT!), but a bunch of us had the chicken as our main and it was sadly disappointing. It might seem extreme to give three stars for food based primarily on the chicken alone, but I do feel that chicken is such a foundational/cornerstone dish for a restaurant, the chef should feel compelled to put out the best possible version they can. It was dry, the skin wasn't crisp enough, and it was accompanied by a crouton, chicory, and fennel salad that was very tart and one dimensional, totally missing balance (I think it needed some currants or golden raisins--SOME spec of sweetness to offset the VERY bitter chicories and the lemon vinaigrette). All five of us who ordered the chicken left half the food on our plate--and we're hearty guys who love to eat. Please, take a critical look at this dish. Your customers are loyal and we love you and want you to succeed. BTW, great date night ambiance!“
“Food is great, but a little on the pricier side. Vibe / atmosphere is spot on. Most of the staff are well trained and pleasant but the host/ seating process feels inhospitable and overly optimized for efficiency as they will not seat tables even if the majority is there, ready to order, and knows that the table needs to be turned over for a second sitting, making it a bit dysfunctional for larger groups (things happen, sometimes a person will be late and the show must go on).“
“I loved the ambiance, perfect for taking my Son out to a birthday dinner. Our party of three, one whom is a vegan all found plenty on the menu that appealed to our varied tastes and dietary needs. We had to wait a bit for our table but we were offered the drinks menu and soon we were waiting with a glass of wine. Service was excellent and noise level allowed for good conversation.“
“A must SF Dining experience. My 3rd time there was as fantastic as the 1st. The bread & cultured Butter is the best you will ever taste. Wait staff is on top of it. And I really enjoy hearing from each chef about the dish that they prepared. You won't be sorry. ??“
“I always forget to take pictures of the food here because we did in so quickly. I love the food here, the restaurant is lovely and comfortable, and the staff are very kind. I love their rotating menu and delicious cocktails. I look forward to the next special occasion that we choose to spend at The Morris.“
“Fable is amazing! From the warm atmosphere, decor, their wonderful staff, and unbelievable great food made my first night in San Francisco one to remember. Thank you Chef Brandon for the suggestion and to our fabulous dining room attendant Lori.“
“The last time I ate at Plow was 7 years ago, and their food still endures today! It's nice that they now offer outdoor seating to handle the volume due to operating in a very small space. I ordered the fried egg on brioche toast, which is a delight. Its clever how they add frisee salad mix that sits in between the fried egg and brioche toast. It has the right acidity to amalgamate the buttery brioche, fried egg, saltiness from the prosciutto, and the gruyere cheese. The chili flakes add the right amount of heat and doesn't overpower. The plow potatoes are absolutely bangers! Salt, naturally sweet potatoes, rosmary, smashed and baked! Yes, please! If you're looking for a hidden gem away from the busyness of downtown, yet have to wait in line and don't mind sitting extremely close to others. Yet want to impress your date, friend, or international buddy with a good breakfast, look no further.“
“New favorite spot. It's really good quality food, super healthy, and at a great price. The place is very clean and modern on the inside. And the drinks were great. Coming back soon.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Plenty.“
“There was a live band there when we went. The ginger ale and lemonade were really good. The portions look small but have a lot of food. The potatoes for the fish and chips were excellent. The servers were very attentive but not intrusive. The space is open inside and welcoming. Nice community atmosphere.Parking: Ride Muni K line for easy accessKid-friendliness: Kids of all ages present. Children's menu option.“
“You enter this location and are greeted before being brought to the main dining area. We came for restaurant week and were really happy with the menu. We definitely want to come back for their tasting menu. The smell of the fire from the open kitchen added to the ambiance. I appreciate the all gender bathrooms. From the menu, my favorite was the salad which was refreshing. Next favorite was the chicken fried beef tongue. Everything had great texture and aroma. Cocktails were also well balanced.“
“Held a group dinner for 14 here on a Friday. The process for booking, menu selection, etc., were all very professional and easy. Great menu options, flexible re food allergies, and the room was lovely - if too tight for the cocktail/ circulating hor d'oeuvres concept. People clustered in the 4 corners of the room and didn't have room to really mingle. Considering it was a relatively big group, the food was quite good (though duck was a bit tough & scallops were disappointingly small - not succulent).I would come again. Conundrum is that the minimum was high for our group, so I'd book again for a larger group, but the room would be really too tight for more than, say, 16 people.“
“We went here for brunch with friends and can say we will be back! Getting seated for 4 at their outside patio only took about 15 minutes on Sunday at brunch time. They brought water bowl out for our dog and were very friendly about having her there. The food came out fairly quickly, and can say that all of the dishes were amazing. We got the chilaquiles, Milanesa, and carnitas eggs Benedict. Everyone was super friendly and attentive!“
“Have loved this place since it opened and though we live in the south bay, whenever we're in SF, we can always rely on this place because the food is always very fresh and innovative, the service is relaxed and unobtrusive, and the convenience to get back home is a quick 5 minutes to the freeway home and we're back in Los Gatos in 50 minutes after a day in SF. We've tried just about everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.“
“Been here twice now and both have been such great experiences. Welcoming and helpful staff. Took their time to recommend a bottle of wine. Food is delicious! We love their pasta especially the oxtail ragu, lamb shank just fell off the bone. Be sure to ask for the complimentary focaccia! Cute courtyard and beautiful setting inside too. Highly recommend!“
“Delicious vegan food, friendly and helpful waitstaff. Not a fancy place - decor, menus, furniture all worn and low-key. But it's what's inside that counts, and what's inside are novel and creative vegan takes on dishes from around the world, including Argentina, Thailand, Mexico, Central Asia, Japan, and the US.“
“It's an absolute treat to come here for dinner! Excellent food, excellent wines, good service! I've been to Foliage twice now, and both times, my meals were delicious, and I left thinking that I am very much looking to coming back. I see a lot of people complaining in their reviews about the portions, but I Ieft Foliage with a full belly, and feeling like I should take a little post-meal walk! Each of the 4 plates of tonight's meal (I opted for the vegetarian versions) were wonderful!“
“UPDATE: Love the food, I always bring friends here when they come to visit for brunch. Ive ordered bacon flight, deep fried french toast, wedges, crab benedict, two eggs, franciscan scramble and the lemon ricotta pancakes. Bottomless only works if both people get, but their other mimosas and coffee are great too!Love the food, always order delivery if I cant do dine in. But it was very cold with both doors open for dine in.“
“This was a great meal to start the day. With lots of options from breakfast to dinner this is a perfect place for any time of the day. I had the souvlaki which came with soft pita and lots of tzatziki which I loved. The salad and fries were also a great side. My boyfriend had the home run and he said the sandwich was good and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was great as well! We chose a table outside and it was a little dirty but they quickly noticed and wiped it down for us. Parking can be found on the street.“
“Please try this restaurant. I was visiting SF with my husband while he took the State BAR, and after a long, taxing day of testing, we found Gentilly and it breathed life back into him. We ordered the Cajun pasta and the dish with the pulled pork, ribs, and mac. Outstanding food. Ribs slipped off the bone. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic craft sodas, plus lots of awesome cocktails...which I ordered the second night because we HAD to go back! The first night we ate in the back room and another table was doing a murder mystery which was really cool. We ate in the lounge on the second night and chatted with our server, Jessica - - super cool human being, so kind and engaging! Someone came in and the bartender new him by name, asked if he wanted his favorite thing, and put his program on the TV. It was so wholesome and made it feel homey. I genuinely want to visit this area of SF just to go back to Gentilly! This restaurant is obviously a passion project and I'm so happy places like this exist. My only complaint is that it's so far away from where I live! Then again if I lived close to Gentilly I'd probably gain a lot of weight, especially since they serve a brownie with ice cream and salted caramel. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice if you didn't try it!“
“We made a detour on the way to our air bnb in order to drop in at the Monk's Kettle. This was my first trip to this part of SF, but my friend had come several times over the years and decided we needed a burger and beer. Nice outside Patio - a favorite on a decent day to be outside, great food, and a good craft beer selection, including Pliny the Elder. Garlicy cheesy fries were delicious as was the burger..“
“This has been an outstanding experience. We sat at the bar and ordered. - shishito peppers. Outstanding with an umami rich sauce - curry fried chicken - delicious - mussels - one of the best mussel dishes I have ever had - truffled fries - fantastic I cannot remember a better, tastier meal. 5 stars. Please come and support this restaurant. I want them to succeed. Noe Valley is the better for them being a part of this community! Outstanding. Also- a shout out to Alex behind the bar. He could not have been nicer! Wine was also outstanding!“
“The excellent customer service made this a great place to eat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We got in right before they were about to close and were able to order sesame chicken, general tso chicken, pot stickers, and a couple beers.“
“This was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was stylish: marble topped tables and gold chairs, with subdued lighting. The food was exquisite. I started with the roasted cauliflower, made with dates, mint, and harissa tahini sauce. I ordered it because it sounded exotic, and. . . I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! I will order this again! And I followed that with the Caprese pizza (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil). It was, in a word, delicious! The crust was marvelous: soft and slightly chewy. I shouldn’t be surprised. The Turks have the best bread. I will definitely be back, but also want to try the sister restaurant, Mykonos.“
“This is by far my favorite place in all of San Francisco. Ungrafted has no misses. As a wine lover, the selection here is unparalleled with delicious varietals from all over the world. I also appreciate how many beers and nonalcoholic drinks they have. The food is outstanding, and the menu rotates every so often to offer more ways to delight and surprise the palate. However, the one staple I get every time I visit are the fries (sometimes, we'll order two!). Crispy, salty, with a refreshing dip - what more could you ask for?Last but certainly not least are the wonderful staff at Ungrafted. From the very first time we visited all the way up until now, they make you feel welcome and like they've known you forever. It's easy for people to feel intimidated going into a wine establishment not knowing anything about wine, but not here at Ungrafted - not only are they unpretentious, but they're also downright giddy to share their thoughts on wine with you, and to hear your thoughts on wine as well. I've had the pleasure of getting to know almost all the staff, who have now become friends.Coming to Ungrafted feels like coming home. Never change!“
“3rd Cousin offers a well done tasting menu that's both tasty and reasonably priced. Our server was pleasant and helped us with the wine list . The the creamy soup was quite nice, the perfectly fried oyster was great, and the star of the show - the Uni crème brûlée. It was both very tasty and well plated. While the steak and fish entrees were decent, they weren't quite as impressive as the earlier courses. Thankfully, the desserts brought the meal to a satisfying close. Overall, 3rd Cousin is a great choice for a nice dinner out, would recommend.“
“My family and I came by 3 weeks ago and they were great. Awesome atmosphere the service was great. The owner was helping out. They make great use of the space. The food was terrific. We ordered two godfather burgers, an impossible burger and sliders. Everything was to order. Having an impossible option was awesome. We can't wait to come back. I think I will ask for my bun toasted but other than that I have no complaints.“
“San Francisco has no shortage of wine bars, but 20 Spot in the Mission district manages to carve out a special niche for itself. It's a solid 4-star experience, perfect for a cozy date night. This review is mostly focused on the ambiance and the service because my friend and I already had dinner at a restaurant next door.Ambiance is King: This place nails the intimate vibe. It's housed in a former record store, and they've kept some of that charm with exposed brick and stacks of vinyl lining the walls. The lighting is warm and dim, creating a perfect atmosphere for conversation and connection. You can also snag a spot on the comfy couch in the back for some serious snuggle factor.Wine & Bites Delight: The wine list is impressive, with a strong focus on interesting finds from California, alongside some classic French and Italian options. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to recommend something based on your preferences. Our bartender was very light-hearted fella and had a great sense of humor. They also serve modern American fare food. Their menu mostly consists of snacks, cheese boards, and small plates with 1-2 mains and some desserts. We tried their house bread with pimenton oregano butter, and it was perfect for sharing.A Few Caveats:It's a popular spot with limited seating space, so be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekends. Also, the focus is definitely on wine, so the cocktail selection is a bit sparse.Overall: If you're looking for a charming and intimate spot for a date night with a focus on great wine and delicious bites, 20 Spot is a fantastic choice. Just be prepared for a wait and the slightly limited seating options. For the ambiance and overall experience, it's definitely worth a visit.“
“Celebrating my mom, she had the half roast Mary's chicken & zucchini, bf had the “special” filet mignon & mashed potatoes and cab ? & I had the NY steak, mashed potatoes & asparagus. NY steak always delish. Lovely presentation with the flowers ? Usually to-go for me, never get the flower ? Thank you Asta. Walked by this afternoon spotted your sign “prime rib” special tonite, popped in to ask Asta for the deets. Had to come back for this. OMFG sooo delish, huge slice of prime rib (Pape Meat Co ??) creamed spinach (dreamy) mashed potatoes and green salad ❤️ the croutons. Please no goat cheese on the green salad ☹️ for me. Just don't like ??♀️ Please keep this on ur rotation. Thank you Asta & Ziggy.“
“Visited this amazing Halal breakfast place not so long ago. I ran towards it the moment I heard about it. Ignore the QR code cliche of the reviewers the attendants are very helpful in taking the order esp if you have a disability. Ppl with disability must try this place - the owner Muhammad was very cordial and helpful. I tried their fried chicken Benedict - it was Dee-li-cious!! I also ordered their black tea and coffee there is room for a-lot of improvement there. Over all I loved it . The collection of the music was also nice . I wish we have more halal places in town. I will be going back more often ti try the rest of the menu.:)Ps: A special thanks to my lady server. She served me with a lot of care , took me to the rest-room and even laid the toilet paper for me. Who does that these days .❤️“
“Everything was ok. Not the most authentic German food (schnitzel wasn’t, spaetzle was ok); chicken sandwich was a bit messy. We came in a large group. The QR codes make ordering easy from your phone, but there’s no concept of service since they just bring what you click, and asking for tip upfront is also a bit weird. Nice open space with communal tables, so it’s good for big groups“
“Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.“
“Food was excellent. Service was good but not great. Our server was not totally with it. He kept calling for a chicken sandwich when I clearly ordered a chicken salad. The salad was great. We made sure the chicken sandwich we did not order was taken off the bill. Our appetizer never came. We made sure it was not in the bill. Ambiance was good. We like the HMB Brewery, have been there many times over the years and plan to be back. Food is fresh, well prepared, and well presented. We hope the server at our table gets better over the weeks to come. The four stars given for the server missing his mark over the appetizer and the sandwich we did not order. Otherwise it would have been five stars.“
“You drive into a very quiet parking lot with ample parking spaces. You begin to question whether you are in the correct area… then you walk into the restaurant and realize you have walked into the right place. On a Friday night you enter the most exciting place in Burlingame! The music is live and the drinks are served…. The food is great and the service is fantastic. Be sure to go only if you want to enjoy yourself, especially on a Friday night!“
“This was my first visit here and we really enjoyed it.It's mostly a breakfast and brunch place although they do have lots of savory dishes as well.I had the N.I.C.E. Caesar salad with buffalo chicken and homemade dressing. It was excellent! I can't remember why they called it "nice".The french fries were awesome my husband had the reuben and the meat looked absolutely incredible and the sandwich was well assembled but the flavor just wasn't there in the pastrami.I had a glass of champagne and it was so good! They give you a very generous pour. The breakfast waffles and beignets looked amazing! We'll be back for those.“
“Solid four-star eatery. Enjoyed the cocktail & meal very much. Casual, good live music. Waiter should have told me at the outset that one of the menu items (which I wanted to order) had been drastically changed, but I was happy with what I got. Overall, as good as it gets at this price.“
“Loved this place only came here for the dollar oysters but unfortunately they got rid of them and now are priced at $1.50 . Food here was great to try always loved the oysters so if money isn't an issue than spend that $36 on two dozen oysters. Once again sadden that the dollar oysters are off the menu and will now need to find a new place that has the dollar oyster gem. Service if you look like you can afford this place is good but if you don't look like you belong service is a bit slow. Loved the view from the outside seats.“
“Ahhhh, now THIS is SOULFOOD. My taste buds were tantalized by the delicious dishes! I had the prawns, spinach and couscous dish with the beets side salad. Absolute perfection. The chef (owner) was warm and welcoming. I came for the 1st Tuesdays Spoken Word event. It was cozy and warm inspiring. I'll be back.“
“Love the ocean views!! The best part of the restaurant is the booths that face the ocean :) Drinks were also really good - the fruity sunset drink was great and the lavender lemonade drink was also. The crab legs in the crab leg entree were AMAZING tasting! The veggie sides were only okay... The calamari app I would skip... wasnt too great. crab cakes were good but pricey .. but they had good flavor and good amounts of crab meat. All in all i would recommend when doing dinner in pacifica!“
“This is a solid place for healthy food. Clean and fresh. I have been here twice and I had good experience both times. This time I got Parker salad and it is quite refreshing and filling at the same time. Reasonable price in this neighborhood and very nice staff.“
“It was a nice place, they have different of beers selection and nice alcohol drinks.Nice neighborhood bar for a busy day and kind of get a nice drink in good pricesWe got some food and it was all right, I will say food it’s not the strongest but if you’re hungry then grab a bit it’s okay. The service was good the guy was always making sure everything was all right with us.Adding photos!!Hope this help“
“Do you like a place that's locally owned, well this is the place. The owner is there working with the staff making sure everyone is having a great time. Great bartenders. The sliders are truly something your taste buds will marvel at. They are presented on an English muffin that's lightly toasted and served with just a little mayo. The shrimp are served in a garlic butter that just makes your mouth water. The chips and guacamole were probably some of the freshest I've ever had, I had to wonder if she picked the avocados off the tree that morning.“
“My family and I came to visit this restaurant on our road trip from Texas! Ramzy Halteh was such a welcoming bubbly person who welcomed us to the restaurant! The service was amazing and quick for it being fresh! Ramzy made the experience even better with casual conversation throughout dinner and I even got his socials to stay in touch! This restaurant is a MUST TRY in San Francisco!! Can't wait to go back in August my friend!“
“Great spot with surprisingly delicious food. The pretzel is excellent, and I love that they serve it with a nice spicy house made mustard. I've been twice and gotten the slushy both times, which have been delish. My girlfriend likes the corn dog, although it could use a thicker batter. Recently I tried the Bacon Beef burger (aioli, onion jam, wild arugula, gruyere) which was scrumptious. Cooked to perfection with the right amount of sauce and toppings (two nice slices of bacon that were perfectly cooked). Pretty decent prices for the serving sizes (burger comes with fries and a pickle). The staff are friendly and there's lots of seating both inside and outside.“
“At 5:30 pm on Friday we were able to get a table right away. The main room was a lot noisier than the lounge area, however, the better seating was in the main room with the wide windows. Our waiter was attentive and made great suggestions. I recommend the lamb and macaroni with jalapeños and bacon. The macaroni dish was enough for 2 people. The Watermelon and Pineapple alcoholic drinks (I forgot the names) were refreshing.“
“Good for happy hour, cozy and not crowded on a weekday for co-worker meetup. Menu isn't huge though, and salad wasn't very exciting, small, but my friends who got burgers and other less health-conscious items were happy. I appreciate the ease of parking, small shopping area right across from Safeway, and easy access off of the 92/280 junction. Good adult hangout, not for kids, dark inside.“
“Luckily we are nearby to our neighborhood treasure, Robin’s Cafe. I have eaten nearly every single thing they make and for this reason I agonize over every order because how can a person choose between SO MANY DELICIOUS DISHES? Everything they make is so tasty and healthy, fresh, and memorable. If you’re lucky someday you might get a cookie or lavender bread fresh out of the oven. I send all my customers there and will miss them terribly when we move.“
“Amazing food and service! Ordered online for delivery to my hotel after a long flight. I called the restaurant to confirm that what I ordered was also safe for me because of a food allergy I have aside from gluten intolerance. They were super helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious!!! I built my own bowl with the herb chicken, beans, and sweet potatoes. And got some.other sides as well. Everything is gluten free! Wish I lived here, so I could eat there more often!“
“My wife and I were in the San Francisco area for a week and had generally excellent food. My wife found this restaurant via Google and we decided to visit because of the good reviews and proximity to our Airbnb. We were not sure what to expect as this restaurant was so close to airport and there were many open tables. We had an excellent experience!!! The food and wine were top tier as well as the service. For entrees we had rack of lamb and the linguine lobster. The food was perfectly prepared and of extremely high quality. Towards the end of the meal we go into a discussion with the owner on wineries to visit in Napa/Sonoma. We were both very passionate about wine and at the end she comp’d us a bottle of very expensive wine from her favorite winery. Don’t hesitate to try JC Bruno- you will love it.“
