Clean, luminous, good service but especially fresh and delicious food.
Pho is made with love, and you can taste its heartiness. Special Banh Mi is delicious, fresh baguette bread, freshly pickled vegetables and deliciously marinated meats.

We thought the flavors were good and there was enough to take home for some leftovers. The place wasn’t crowded before noon. This is our second time here and they have specials if you order over $39 worth of food and pay in cash you can get a drink included with your meal. Hope this place stays around. “I had the opportunity to visit this Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in noodles, and I must say that the experience was overall very positive.

The house specialty, the beef noodles, were truly delicious. The meat was incredibly soft and rich, making it the highlight of the meal.

However, I felt that the broth that accompanied the noodles could have had a little more flavor. Although it was clear that a lot of care had gone into its preparation, it seemed a bit neutral to me.

Overall, I give it a rating of 8/10. Although it was not a perfect experience, the quality of the meat and the presentation of the dishes were more than enough to make up for the small deficiencies. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any noodle and beef lover.“

“A good place for rice noodles, and I really loved their broth! My go to is their sliced beef rice noodles, portions were good too. The restaurant is also very clean. Not to mention, when you order takeout, they pack everything so nicely! Service was fast too!

Note: there is a small parking lot right next to the restaurant although all seem to be compact sized, street parking is plenty too if you have a larger car. And, they also do happy hour from 2-6pm for snacks and drinks.“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to use your gyoza wraps; some too dry to use; many were stuck to the one next to it (NOT an easy peel). the combination of too dry and stuck-together made for a lot of torn wraps, necessitating that I patch them together using scraps of ones that didn't stay in one piece in order to finish making the gyoza. Such wildly different quality makes me wonder if I got unlucky with the gyoza wraps, or lucky with the wonton wraps.“

“Was trying to find a place for lunch on a random weekday. This place is excellent. Give the small hole in the wall vibe but inside is pretty spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and the food is excellent.

I will say parking can be difficult but that shouldn’t surprise anyone in the area. Small underground lot if you can’t find anything upstairs

Had the braised beef plate. Big portions, tasty and well braised beef. Veggies on the side were on the saltier side for my liking, but overall I’d get it again.

Got the beef noodle soup as well. I thought the broth could be a littler more “rich”, on the lighter side than I usually like it.

Not pictured but also tried the pork spare rib noodle soup. The spare ribs were tasty and fell off the bone.

“Went here for take out lunch boxes, food is good considering the price, and there’s a verity of items to pick from. It’s like a mini version of KangKang XiaoMei that was closed a while back. Only thing is that the server lady is usually at the back preparing/cooking, so you might not be attended to right away, sometimes might need to wait a little.“

“There were not many people at midweek lunch, the food was served quickly, the service was average, the environment was acceptable, and the taste basically reached the level of domestic roadside stalls. The braised beef noodle soup is very sour and salty. There is no beef flavor in the soup. It has a strong sauerkraut flavor and a strong soy sauce flavor and color. It is better to call it hot and sour beef noodles. The beef tastes good and the overall color is dark, very Shandong cuisine style. Buckwheat The noodles were very long and the waiter handed over the scissors in time. The large plate of chicken shaved noodles was bland and tasteless, thick and narrow, and the skill of the knife is hard to describe; but the chili oil was delicious and fragrant, which saved it one star. Generally speaking, it is a decent lunch for the purpose of filling the stomach quickly and easily.“

I came here on the recommendation of Kristy Hang, who posted about it on her instagram. I had the shu mai, har gow, wok fried turnip cake, and a pot of wonderfully perfumed Jasmine tea. “Good Alley is a welcome addition to the area for authentic dumplings! If you're craving traditional Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), this place is an excellent choice. As someone with high standards for soup dumplings, my all-time favorites are Ma Ma Lu and Thumbling in West Covina. I’d say the soup dumplings here are slightly better than Thumbling's, with fresh, high quality ingredients and a rich, flavorful broth. In addition to the soup dumplings, the Beef Rolls and Sichuan Dan Dan noodles are fantastic and worth trying.

I’m deducting one star for the price-to-portion ratio. The portions are small, and the prices are on the higher side, so you may feel like the value isn't quite there. However, the pricing is still more reasonable than Ding Tai Fung, so it balances out a bit.
