“We generally like the sushi here because we get basic quick rolls that don’t require much(like us). But almost every time I get these vegetarian yam rolls, the yam comes out raw and it’s very difficult to eat because I don’t want to eat raw sweet potato/yam. And since I am a vegetarian, I like to have a little bit more protein, But I can’t really have that if I can’t eat the yam. Other than that, my husband loves his rolls that he gets, like the Pebble Beach.”

“So I went to this place for an evening meal yesterday after seeing good reviews, and honestly, the food was amazing! I started with the miso soup.. I’ve traveled and lived in Asia and had miso everywhere (including Japan) and this was the best I’ve ever tasted, it was so rich and satisfying! I then got a mixed dish of steak, prawns, and scallops with rice and it was also so delicious! The staff are great guys, and I have to say if you’re in Monterey and looking for just great quality food cooked by extremely professional cooks who now how to make the most satisfying dishes, then go here, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Picked up food to go last year and it was really good. So happy that we found this place again! Ordered garlic parm and spicy fried chicken wing plates, lemongrass chicken and beef meatball pho. Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! We will definitely come here again when we’re in the area.”

We’ve been here tons of times, but today when we went in, the service wasn’t the same, waitress seemed upset for some reason because I asked for extra avocado & I had to ask another waitress for some chips 20 minutes later because the original waitress never asked us if we needed anything else after they brought us our food. Besides that, food was delicious 👍🏿”

“A very nice Korean and Japanese restaurant alongside broadway Ave! They have Korean side dishes if you order from the Korean side of the menu such as kimchi and fish and others. On the Japanese side, there’s an extensive sushi menu and ramen too. I loved their 49ers roll with the crab and tempura inside and tuna outside. The Korean short ribs were nice too on the hot plate but stuck sometimes and the bones were a bit difficult to get off the bone. All with really nice service and getting water pretty often!”

“Lupita's strikes again! Once again, completely delicious food! The quality of their food is so good that you won't feel that yucky takeout feeling after eating there! You will feel like your Mexican mom made you a batch of rice and beans! The key is their oaxacan roots! I love how they make their quesadillas with like a thick masa. The tamales are bomb, masa is seasoned correctly and then the fillings are so good. we love the chicken mole ones but also like the rajas and the salsa verde. Today we branched out to try their tortas and new burrito bowls. outstanding! Ask for some Oaxacan cheese on your burrito bowl! Okay, now the bakery... There is always a debate on who has the best donuts on the Monterey Peninsula, I always hear about the donut places, but for me Lupita's is the best. their donut is substantial and then the chocolate on top is decadent! I really keep saying, who would go to any sole donut shop when you can get so much variety here? Donuts, donut holes, cakes, cookies, pan dulce! and my ultimate favorite... a loaf of morning glory bread!!! Like a carrot cake bread with oats! trust me! super delicious! Lastly, they are super friendly! I love their staff! I am currently working with them to do custom donuts for my son's upcoming birthday! They are always willing to work with their customers to make them happy!”

“OMG. ! These are the most delicious tamales I've had. So fresh. I ordered the Jalapeño & Cheese, Green Chile chicken, and Corn. They were all just perfect. I steamed them 2 days after I bought them and they still tasted moist, delicious and fresh. They also have Elote; very good. I'm happy to support small and local business people. I'll be a regular from now on.”

“I'm from SC I have been looking for a good Philly since I got to CA, welp looks like I found it, Both halves were full of steak,cheese, and onions. Fries were hot and crispy, felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door until the sec I walked out. I'll be back for sure.

Update: Back for a second night because last night was so good. Had to have the Garlic Fries again. Oh my... so good! Then it was Chicken Carnitas Quesadilla and Fish and Chips. Excellent! Really good. We went for dessert tonight. Turtle Cheesecake. Oh my!!! We may have to have it again before we leave. Thanks Eric!!! You are the best! So glad you had our table again. “I went into the Broadway store a couple of weeks ago to buy a bunch of gift cards. Micheal was super helpful and patient when things weren't working for him. He was friendly and kind and despite having to process 12 separate gift cards in between customers, her maintained professionalism and was pleasant, never getting stressed. I am in customer service too and I appreciated his work and wanted to make sure he was recognized for it. I would have tipped him but I couldn't since I was making a work purchase. Thank you!!!”

“This is a solid place to get a burrito for the road. The staff is friendly. The Super Burrito is always good. But the quesadilla is soggy and the cheese on the Carne Asada fries is weird. I do love that it has a drive thru, though; so it's my go-to in Seaside.”
