“Great Halal sushi place! I’ve gone several times when I am in the Monterey area after the beach. Was really impressed with all of the food. The udon noodles were amazing rich flavor, and tasty noodles.

Of course the sushi is fresh and tasty.

We’ve also been to their location closer to San Jose. Both are wonderful.”

“Delicious food.... We had some red aguachiles and some green aguachiles. We’ve been here tons of times, but today when we went in, the service wasn’t the same, waitress seemed upset for some reason because I asked for extra avocado & I had to ask another waitress for some chips 20 minutes later because the original waitress never asked us if we needed anything else after they brought us our food. Besides that, food was delicious 👍🏿”

“We made our reservation on OpenTable, which was very convenient. Our server, Ian, was super personable and attentive. The Classic Smashburger was delicious and the Cherry Mule was a hit. I would eat here again.”

“We were more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The garlic fries were an excellent start, followed by the pan seared salmon. Even the sides were delicious. Thanks to our server Eric, for the wonderful service. It's so nice to have such a good restaurant right in the hotel.

Update: Back for a second night because last night was so good. Had to have the Garlic Fries again. Oh my... so good! Then it was Chicken Carnitas Quesadilla and Fish and Chips. Excellent! Really good. We went for dessert tonight. Turtle Cheesecake. Oh my!!! We may have to have it again before we leave. Thanks Eric!!! You are the best! So glad you had our table again. “This was my 1st time there, heard you can watch sports on big screens. The boneless wings were meh at best, somehow didn't taste like 100% chicken. Actual wings were pretty good, though. Not all beers listed were available to order, my first 2 choices weren't. Wish there were more sports fans to join in on the fun, though, most patrons were there to simply enjoy a meal, so sort of dampened my enthusiasm. I think the service could be better, but seemed like the 2 different servers were attending to a lot of tables, so their attention was diluted, they were nice enough though, so that helps - a smile and politeness. Not sure if this is going to be a repeat destination, but I might order wings to go if I'm hosting a crowd at home.”

“Being an old-ish Army Vet, I had to try the SOS, as it was the go to breakfast in the 80's Army. I was not disappointed with the flavor or the memories! “Absolutely fantastic start to finish! Came in for my birthday dinner. My wife and I shared the mole negro and mole Amarillo. Both were very flavorful and worth getting small boxes to take home the little bit left on both plates. The server was very nice and brought over a piece of flan for my birthday. Again, delicious! “Acme Coffee is absolutely amazing! Huge shout out to Alexis - She is awesome! Two days in a row she gave us the best drink recommendations and even tipped us off to some great local hikes. The coffee here is excellent, and their chai deserves a special mention. It is unsweetened, made in-house, and honestly one of the best I have ever had.

I do not usually go back to the same coffee shop twice when traveling, but Acme won me over. The vibe, the service, and the quality are just that good. They also have a fun selection of chocolates and plenty of gluten-free baked goods if you want something in the morning. Highly recommend stopping by!”

“I had a Lamb & Beef Gyro. It made 👏 my 👏 day. It was scrumptious. The veggies were fresh, the sauces blended really well with everything, and the atmosphere was very friendly. They also have the best pitas you can find on the entire peninsula!!

“A real mixed bag here. Let's start with the positives.
This is one of the most beautifully painted Mexican restaurants I've ever been into especially for a counter-service one. Very comfortable with high ceilings high top and low top table seating options. To dining areas. A beautiful salsa bar with fresh everything fantastic marinated carrot onion medley.

I can't comment on the meats. I had huevo ranchero ranchera with scrambled eggs.
I specifically asked for soft scrambled eggs and I had told the counter girl very specifically and gave her a image to take to the cook. They still brought back eggs that were hard scrambled with brown on them. Pathetic excuse for a cook can't help himself from burning eggs. They didn't even apologize or offer to remake the eggs. That's bad service.

On the positive side the portions were huge the rice was cooked well in the beans were delicious. The price was fair for what you get these days I guess including a very well stocks also bar with chips that were delicious. They just need to learn how to cook eggs in this place 🍳🥚😣”

“Was in town and seen thier food on tiktok decided to try it out! Definitely worth it! They even sold deserts inside which were also delicious! And their customers service was also excellent! I got the cuban torta to go and it was delicious as expected! Only thing i regretted was not dinning in because it would of made it better! Definitely coming back when im in town again!”

“This is a hidden (unfortunately) gem. If you know pizza (and no offense, many Californians don't) this is the best in the area, hands down. Great crust, fresh toppings and the standout that so many places here get wrong is the sauce. Perfect flavor profile of herbs, richness and a hint of sweetness. Beers on tap and other Italian foods (the calzones are on my list to try) are available. Please support the best pizza in the area!”

“You need to try a seaside brand new Korean restaurant when I went. It was a soft opening and I thought I would give it a try and I was not disappointed. All of the food was delicious recently priced, and the server that gave me the food to go was very sweet. It was an overall wonderful experience

“Lupita's strikes again! Once again, completely delicious food! The quality of their food is so good that you won't feel that yucky takeout feeling after eating there! You will feel like your Mexican mom made you a batch of rice and beans! The key is their oaxacan roots! I love how they make their quesadillas with like a thick masa. The tamales are bomb, masa is seasoned correctly and then the fillings are so good. we love the chicken mole ones but also like the rajas and the salsa verde. Today we branched out to try their tortas and new burrito bowls. outstanding! Ask for some Oaxacan cheese on your burrito bowl! Okay, now the bakery... There is always a debate on who has the best donuts on the Monterey Peninsula, I always hear about the donut places, but for me Lupita's is the best. their donut is substantial and then the chocolate on top is decadent! I really keep saying, who would go to any sole donut shop when you can get so much variety here? Donuts, donut holes, cakes, cookies, pan dulce! and my ultimate favorite... a loaf of morning glory bread!!! Like a carrot cake bread with oats! trust me! super delicious! Lastly, they are super friendly! I love their staff! I am currently working with them to do custom donuts for my son's upcoming birthday! They are always willing to work with their customers to make them happy!”

“Picked up food to go last year and it was really good. So happy that we found this place again! Ordered garlic parm and spicy fried chicken wing plates, lemongrass chicken and beef meatball pho. Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! We will definitely come here again when we’re in the area.”

“Stopped in while my car was being serviced down the street. Have been there a couple times before and really enjoyed it but really just chilled today. Had a mocha and a Fessell (sp?) and decided to stay for some tea (Scarlett) after. Emma and I chatted about many things and I even got to pick out some vinyl to play while I hung out. “Let me tell you, I come from Texas which arguably has some of the best Mexican food in the country. Concerning my actual order, I only got a simple breakfast burrito with beans, and while to most people it is a basic meal, to me, it tasted like home. The burrito was a great size, reasonably priced, and was delicious! I can’t speak on the rest of the menu, but what I experienced today was a great start! I highly recommend!”

“Lucky Bamboo is open for takeout during the Coronavirus shutdown. My wife and I got takeout last night. We had chicken chow mein, beef with asparagus, and chicken with black mushrooms. The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. The person who helped me was very friendly and appreciative to have the business.”

“I did a mistake when ordering, ordered something that I can't eat. Realized my mistake too late, I even started eating the side pieces. After realizing I wanted the check, and was told I can pay with the tablet on the table. My meal was uneaten so I explained to the waiter I can't eat it, it was on me, not than meal was bad or anything. She told me to wait aminute, and replaced my meal with something else. Staff is attentive and very friendly.”
