“Buddy and I wanted breakfast burritos and randomly found this place off google maps. It’s amazing find. Very simple unassuming shop but incredibly nice people working (I believe it’s a family who runs the whole place) who went above and beyond, and very tasty burritos with large portions!“

“One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Encinitas— A must try! This place feels fresh and inspired. You’re immediately transported to a trendy villa in Mexico with an aire of heritage and culture. The owner is from a successful line of restauranteurs in Mexico. It’s clear he knows what he’s doing from the atmosphere to the cuisine. The chips and salsa are delicious, fresh and unique (all made in house). We ordered the Mole Enchiladas and Tuna Tostadas, which were both incredible and would order again on our next visit. Then, of course, couldn’t resist the finale dessert of churros! (Filled with pastry cream with chocolate dunking sauce on the side). The entire experience was an absolute treat and I can’t wait to go back and introduce more people to this local gem.“

“You should check out Haggo's Tacos in Encinitas. I was just there, and it's going on my regular list of go-to restaurants when I’m in the area.

It's one of those spots that has food for everyone to enjoy. They offer meat, vegan and gluten-free choices, that all can enjoy. They do tacos right, no matter what you're eating. Plus their fresh made guacamole is a nice side to any of their entrees.

The seating is what really sets it apart. They have this cool California room-style space that they can open or close depending on your party size. It felt private but still airy. And if you're just grabbing a quick bite solo or with a partner, they have a bar-style counter that faces the street, perfect for people-watching.

“This place is streamlined to be fast. Much of the original menu is ceviche, raw seafood in various forms, the aguachilies are big bowls of raw seafood with onions, cucumbers, and spicy tart sauce to chemically cook the raw seafood.

Most of the original tacos have cooked seafood: octopus, Marlin, bacon wrapped shrimp were the ones we got. The tacos are enormous and super tasty, but if you are sensitive to spice, ask for the sauces to be served on the side. My sister is very sensitive, and she was grateful she got it on the side, so she was really able to enjoy her food.

We want to go back sometime to try out the birria. There is a drive thru! And they were doing a booming business through the evening so you know everything is fresh.“

The salsa is awesome! And the complimentary pickled carrots are a classic. I sincerely hope you will read this review and visit this esteemed establishment to give them your business as opposed to visiting a crappiestablishment such as Chipotle.“

In the middle of a long trip to California’s coast, all the way from our home in Colorado, our group found ourselves in Raymundo’s colorful and welcoming restaurant. The food left our bellies and our hearts full. The tortas were “gas” the salsa was “hella good” and the drinks refreshed us after a morning in the sun. The food was made well, with care and love you could taste in every bite. Raymundo himself was even kind enough to take a photo with us all. In a world pushing us towards faceless fast food mega chains, local businesses like this one keep our world as vibrant as the walls in this lovely place.“

“I have loved Wahoos since they opened one of the first ones in Huntington Beach in the nineties! it's always fresh and clean with a great vibe. It's the easiest and safest place for me to go during the pandemic. The food is very consistent across all the stores I've been too. I highly recommend it. it's a great tasty healthy alternative to fast food!“

“I ordered the 2 piece meal with brocolli, pinto beans, and corn tortillas. I had a side of the avocado hot sauce and the red hot sauce. The chicken was tender and moist, not dry, flavorful, and well marinated. The broccoli was not overcooked and soggy but steamed just right with a little bit of crisp to it. My pinto beans had a great flavor with a little bit of a spicy kick, which I love.The cashier was attentive and engaging. He was polite and had a smile when saying hi and bye. The speed of service was amazing, as they cut my chicken and got my meal to me quickly. Great experience at this location!“

I can't say it enough. and the sauces on the little sauce bar are outstanding. I've never had anything like those sauces. the hot green sauce and hot red sauce are phenomenal. I like the green the best. I lived in AZ years ago. went back home to upstate NY. there is no place near me that even comes close. “This casual, no-frills spot serves consistently amazing Mexican food—I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Even after all this time, the flavors haven’t changed. I used to eat here often years ago and recently decided to revisit. The burritos are excellent, but the carne asada burritos are on another level—packed with flavor and always satisfying. I also tried the California burrito, which includes carne asada and fries, and it was fantastic—not your typical bland fries either.

The lady at the counter was super sweet and even offered us free chips and salsa. It was a great experience overall. These small businesses truly deserve our support, and I’m glad to see they’re still going strong. Definitely enjoyed the food and the warm hospitality.“

The meat is tender and has so much flavor, the fries are crispy, and the toppings are fresh and delicious. Fast, friendly service and huge portions make this a five star experience.
