“Buddy and I wanted breakfast burritos and randomly found this place off google maps. It’s amazing find. Very simple unassuming shop but incredibly nice people working (I believe it’s a family who runs the whole place) who went above and beyond, and very tasty burritos with large portions!“

“One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Encinitas— A must try! This place feels fresh and inspired. You’re immediately transported to a trendy villa in Mexico with an aire of heritage and culture. The owner is from a successful line of restauranteurs in Mexico. It’s clear he knows what he’s doing from the atmosphere to the cuisine. The chips and salsa are delicious, fresh and unique (all made in house). We ordered the Mole Enchiladas and Tuna Tostadas, which were both incredible and would order again on our next visit. Then, of course, couldn’t resist the finale dessert of churros! (Filled with pastry cream with chocolate dunking sauce on the side). The entire experience was an absolute treat and I can’t wait to go back and introduce more people to this local gem.“

“Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was honestly really impressed. My family lives very close by in Rancho Santa Fe so we have been going to the Highlands and now one Paseo for many years and have tried all the different restaurants that have come in and out. I would say that Nick’s is one of the better ones. Inside is really well done, it’s very modern with a very large bar and many different types of seating. I also like how open the restaurant is with giant garage door sized entryways so there is really a nice breeze as you’re eating. It’s attached to a shopping center with free multi storage garage parking. Our server was also very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. They do have a very large bar in the center of the restaurant so you can also stop in for drinks instead of dining if you prefer.

For this first visit I decided to start with the Shrimp Ceviche and honestly loved it. It was the perfect amount of food and really had that powerful lime flavor to it which I love. Next for dinner I chose the Enchiladas Divorciadas and really enjoyed both of them. They had great flavors and were just really enjoyable, the mole sauce was especially rich and was my favorite part. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in or near Del Mar, or to anyone in San Diego searching for a great upscale Mexican dining option.“

“Consistently delicious here. The Salmon mole and chicken verde mole were excellent. The vegan dish was great too. Nice to have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. Table side guacamole is a must. Drinks are a definite highlight. Love the Palomas. This was my third visit, and will be back.“

“You should check out Haggo's Tacos in Encinitas. I was just there, and it's going on my regular list of go-to restaurants when I’m in the area.

It's one of those spots that has food for everyone to enjoy. They offer meat, vegan and gluten-free choices, that all can enjoy. They do tacos right, no matter what you're eating. Plus their fresh made guacamole is a nice side to any of their entrees.

The seating is what really sets it apart. They have this cool California room-style space that they can open or close depending on your party size. It felt private but still airy. And if you're just grabbing a quick bite solo or with a partner, they have a bar-style counter that faces the street, perfect for people-watching.

“We love this place! The food is fresh, delicious, and very well priced! The restaurant is always clean and the staff makes you feel like they're glad you stopped in to eat! We have ordered a variety of different items from the menu and it's all been amazing - including the salsa bar! Their carne asada, shrimp, and mahi mahi are definitely standouts. “This place is streamlined to be fast. Much of the original menu is ceviche, raw seafood in various forms, the aguachilies are big bowls of raw seafood with onions, cucumbers, and spicy tart sauce to chemically cook the raw seafood.

Most of the original tacos have cooked seafood: octopus, Marlin, bacon wrapped shrimp were the ones we got. The tacos are enormous and super tasty, but if you are sensitive to spice, ask for the sauces to be served on the side. My sister is very sensitive, and she was grateful she got it on the side, so she was really able to enjoy her food.

We want to go back sometime to try out the birria. There is a drive thru! And they were doing a booming business through the evening so you know everything is fresh.“

“In town Camping at South Carlsbad State Beach and drove to check this place out. I had read they have really good fi as h tacos at s great price ( 11/7/24 $1.30). They definitely are good & filling ! I left happy & full. My wife got a Carne Asada Burrito that she really liked. Nice friendly prompt service and a Salsa Bar too ! 👍 it’s a smallish walk up and order type restaurant in a strip mall but that doesn’t distract from the good food at all with indoor & outdoor seating. We were there on a Thursday evening and the place was busy with lots of take out orders from the locals. We’ll definitely be back when in town“

“Tacos were quite good -- I got an Al pastor and Asada. More flavorful than at many fast casual spots. 2 tacos were about $13. Relatively quick service, and has outdoor seating with some sun and some shade. Overall, I recommend, and I'm excited to come back and try the super breakfast burrito.“

“This is outside, next to a Valero gas station. Not a place for a first date meant to impress. But…. They’re open 24 hours! Have great fish tacos! Clean bathroom! ? Great service. We were there around 11pm, a little chilly, but the heaters worked just fine!

It’s a small place but there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Parking is good too so no worries there.

“This casual, no-frills spot serves consistently amazing Mexican food—I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Even after all this time, the flavors haven’t changed. I used to eat here often years ago and recently decided to revisit. The burritos are excellent, but the carne asada burritos are on another level—packed with flavor and always satisfying. I also tried the California burrito, which includes carne asada and fries, and it was fantastic—not your typical bland fries either.

The lady at the counter was super sweet and even offered us free chips and salsa. It was a great experience overall. These small businesses truly deserve our support, and I’m glad to see they’re still going strong. Definitely enjoyed the food and the warm hospitality.“

In the middle of a long trip to California’s coast, all the way from our home in Colorado, our group found ourselves in Raymundo’s colorful and welcoming restaurant. The food left our bellies and our hearts full. The tortas were “gas” the salsa was “hella good” and the drinks refreshed us after a morning in the sun. The food was made well, with care and love you could taste in every bite. Raymundo himself was even kind enough to take a photo with us all. “found the Las Vegas Sayulitas 2 yrs ago when staying at the Luxor. there burritos are beyond spectacular. big and so delicious. I can't say it enough. and the sauces on the little sauce bar are outstanding. I've never had anything like those sauces. the hot green sauce and hot red sauce are phenomenal. I like the green the best. I lived in AZ years ago. went back home to upstate NY. there is no place near me that even comes close. I love Sayulitas and wish I had one near me. you can't go wrong if you love Mexican style food“
