“My girlfriend and I came in here looking for some solid ramen and got exactly that. She just got back from Japan and explained how it’s the exact style of ramen they have there. I’m a self-proclaimed food snob and this was easily the best ramen I’ve ever consumed. Plus, the cucumber appetizer will blow your mind.

I got the classic tonkotsu, she got the miso ginger. Both were incredible. The broth, the egg, the noodles (both vegan and not).

The service was also incredible. The host sat us at “his favorite table.” Our waiter, Rainer, was extremely kind and asked a ton about us. When we raved about the cucumber appetizer, he told the chef, Alex, who then came out and chatted with us about the dish, where we’re from, and our love for food.

Will definitely be coming back and highly recommending to the homies“

“Easily the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. It has a really rich, savory broth, which is a nice change of pace since vegan broth is usually a watered down afterthought at most places. It comes fully loaded with mushrooms and hashbrowns (??!?) but you can add additional veggies or an egg if youre feeling it. Very simple menu but they execution is 1000/10!“

“I’ve tried lots of ramen before and by far this is one of the best broths I’ve tasted. It was so creamy and full of flavor. I got the red miso ramen and it was great. The other ramens were also full of flavor and doesn’t have a water downed flavor. The staff was so freindly and nice. It gives a very personal and homey feel. Everything was nice and clean including the bathroom! They also give these free puff deserts that are filled with strawberry creme and it was a phenomenal ending. One of the staff even gave us free pocky’s as a small new year festivities.
This is definitely a lowkey, hidden spot that’s worth a try. Would recommend the ramen any day. I will be going back!“

“JINYA has some of the best ramen in LA, hands down. My gluten free husband loves that they have gluten free ramen, and true Japanese Karaage — made with rice flour, not wheat. So gluten free fried chicken fans, try the crispy chicken! The jinya buns are my addiction! Service is always so sweet and friendly, and we feel like locals or regulars when they recognize us. Don’t worry about the limited seating inside; the patio has great heaters — super cozy and comfortable. And I’m always cold, so you know they’re strong. I love this spot for lunch or dinner any day of the week. Truly a gem of a spot.“

“The ambiance of this place was incredible. The chef who took our order actually took the time to fully explain each of the ramen choices that are on the menu. While waiting for our ramen, we got to see him apply the aromatics to each bowl of ramen. The presentation was incredible, and then we took a bite. I can honestly say that after taking my first bite that I sat back in my chair because I was so blown away at what I had just tasted. “Clean, simple decor and friendly service. Was pleasantly surprised by the lunch special offered and ordered the spicy Yuzu Miso Ramen (at the server's suggestion) with a 3pc side of takoyaki. So happy with the choice!

The takoyaki wasn't drowned in mayo, the sauce was perfectly balanced, and it was genuinely some of the best I've tried in LA.

The ramen! Wow. The noodles were perfect to me. They had a good bite to them and they didn't try to slither out of my chopsticks while en route to my mouth. The meat was incredibly tender and slightly fatty, but not greasy. The broth wasn't overly salty or spicy and had a refreshing yuzu taste that didn't overwhelm the creamy miso flavor. My SIL pointed out how fresh the bamboo shoots tasted as they didn't have that vinegary tang to them that canned ones did.

I finished my bowl (something I can rarely manage) and didn't have the uncomfortable heavy feeling I've had with other miso-based ramen.

I can't wait to go back for the dinner hour and try patio dining

“Friendly staff, the japanese lady was very friendly too, i love the food very tasty , Agedashi tofu was really good, fried tempura was ok but i dont like the dipping sauce better if they use the original sauce for tempura, i like the chicken curry it has a different twist but tasty and good.

“Nice intimate dinner spot for friends or a date. I ordered the Bento box dinner combo with 3 sides for around $30 a person. (Depends on how many premium sides you pick. Sushi is a few bucks more) Comes with miso soup, salad, and steamed rice. I chose the salmon teriyaki, salmon avocado roll, and golden crunch roll. Fresh fish and hot soup. Overall 10/10 value and flavor. ✨️

“We were 5 ppl ,ordered like 8 dishes all were amazingly great my first time to Gokaku Rama. Was so worth it after all day in universal su Dr ios,3 min drive to Gokaku place ..I did not want to end my meal .this is the best restaurant“

“Let's start with the service extremely helpful and very fast. You can choose to use the kiosk to or order at the register. Personally I usually walk away with the "build your own" adding an extra egg and green onions. Though no matter what you go for I'm sure you will love it.“

“I have been coming here with my family for years. The service is always great. The ramen is delicious. My favorite is the miso ramen. My husband’s favorite is the shoyu ramen. The gyoza is also worth trying, crispy and flavorful. If you visit, be sure to get the tofu salad, it’s so refreshing and tasty.

Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. A unique Japanese cuisine eatery with some LA Valley flavor and modern plant-based flare.“

“Am a night owl, part-time nighthawk. I usually get there between Juan 1:00 a.m. and 2:15am. I love ramen; traditional ramen ( leave out the corn please ?). They have great ramen. The staff is nice, friendly. The salt ramen is spot on. The broth is great, good portions,and it's just delicious. They are open super late and that's fantastic. Bottom line It's an excellent late night ramen place that doesn't compromise. (I don't like doing stuff. “Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

“I would usually have to go down to Sawtelle in order to get good ramen, not the case anymore. The Ramen here is on point. I got the Spicy Tonkotsu with a side of black garlic oil. the noodles are the perfect thickness. The soft boiled egg was actually soft boiled!!!The tonkotsu broth was perfect. This will be my new regular spot for ramen.“

“Stopped by for anniversary and DineLA!
I never knew this place existed, but it seems like they've been around for about two years. The restaurant was a lot bigger than it looked and had a lot of spaces. They even had a full bar inside with a nice list of Japanese Whiskeys (Sorry, no Yamazakis!) and other spirits.

The food was good and was presented in a 5 course meal (most likely for DineLA) Although my date got the sushi, I opted for the sukiyaki as they presented themselves as a kaiseki restaurant. They also had other options, but I think their sukiyaki was better than the sushi.

The service was great when we first got in, but the place got packed in a few minutes and it seemed like there wasn't enough servers. However, the overall experience was great and I'd probably visit again for a different menu.“

“This is the best Ramen Restaurant in the north San fernando Valley. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. The number one thing was the flavor of the broth and spicy garlic ededame. “I had the pleasure of stopping by Jinya Ramen Express on Hollywood Boulevard, and I was really impressed! The ramen was excellent — full of flavor, perfectly cooked noodles, and a rich, satisfying broth. It’s an express-style restaurant, so there aren’t any seats inside, but I had no problem enjoying my meal outside using one of their tablets, which made for a convenient and casual dining experience.

The only downside was that the person taking my order didn’t seem particularly motivated, which was a bit of a letdown. But the quality of the food more than made up for it! If you’re looking for a quick, delicious ramen fix, this is a great spot in the heart of LA. Highly recommend!

“Was craving sukiyaki - Yelp brought me here. It’s a casual mom & pop shop, 6 tables, TV playing kpop vids, no frills, just freshly cooked rice bowls and best $5 spicy tuna hand rolls in Hollywood!

Husband enjoyed his pork chashu bowl: perfect size and for $9 can’t go wrong! Satisfied my sukiyaki craving for $13: so tasty, so filling and came out piping hot. Also enjoyed their Thai tea with boba.
