“I visited this place and was very happy with the experience ☺️ We came around 7:30PM on Wednesday and there was no wait at all. Our dishes were brought to us very quickly.

The ramen was very delicious.

The extra portion of noodles was so generous that we easily shared it between three people.

The chicken karaage is pure love - even if you’re not in the mood for ramen, it’s worth coming here just for this dish. The sauce for chicken karaage is also very tasty. I always add the leftover sauce to my ramen.“

Ramen Izakaya is great from take out or dine with a plethora of beverage options as well as eats. Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. A unique Japanese cuisine eatery with some LA Valley flavor and modern plant-based flare.“

“We are vegan and went with the Spicy Miso Ramen, it didn't disappoint. One suggestion, if you want the extra spice kick, ask for their chili oil, it really amped up the ramen overall.
Our kid enjoyed the mushroom bao too.

For parking, you can get lucky by finding a street parking behind the restaurant.“

“If you've ever been to Ichiran, this is a very similar experience. You get a menu card to fill out what you want while you wait for a table to be available. I'm just going to get it out of the way, the ramen is fantastic. Get the original tonkotsu broth you WON'T regret it. The karage chicken was a solid 4/5 I'd get it again but I've had better. My only gripe with the whole experience was that it was fairly cold outside and we were sitting right next to the open door. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place, I'll be coming back for sure.“

“Kai Ramen absolutely hit the spot. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. The portions were generous, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly and fast. You can tell they really care about quality here. Definitely one of those places that makes you start planning your next visit before you even leave!

“I don’t really know what I was expecting, but I was just expecting something unique because of the phone, but the phone was really just foam and I didn’t really add much but the Raman refills came with a pesto sauce and there was a garlic miso sauce which was also good, but yeah thank you“

their Kuromayu ramen is amazing…
the broth is unmatched even by daikokuya in little tokyo. the noodles is about average but the soup and the pork is so delicious they more than make up for the noodles shortcomings…

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

“Really good spot when you want sushi and ramen without having to pick one or the other. The menu has a lot of solid options, so it works well if one person wants ramen, someone else wants rolls, and everyone wants to share a few small plates. The place has a cozy feel, and it’s nice for a casual dinner without feeling too loud or rushed. I like that there’s enough variety to come back and try something different each time. Good food, good vibe, and definitely a solid Encino stop on Ventura.“

“Server was excellent, friendly and very attentive. Food was light, clean and fresh. Had the Miso Chashu Ramen + gyoza dumpling combo. Lots of lean soft meat. Broth was light with lots of green onion. Gyoza was crispy and light. Restaurant was very clean and had a calm atmosphere.“

“My kids were raving about this place and they finally invited me to try this location. So naturally, I ordered their best items on the menu. We ordered the chicken pieces as an appetizer and we all chose a bowl of ramen. I ordered the beef broth truffle soup with an extra side of pork belly. The appetizer and the special sauce was delicious and the Ramen was amazing. As a big fan of Phó, this place was really good. Next time we come in, I will order the chicken broth. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star review was because of what management said to us as we dined. One of the people in our party did not have soup, they had a sandwich from the restaurant next door. Management came to our table and said that they didn't allow outside food to be eaten in their restaurant. With multiple restaurants located in this shopping center and No signs posted anywhere, I think this policy should be re-evaluated. Between the 3 of us eating Ramen, the bill was almost $84 with a tip. I think for the location being so close to other choices of food and the price, my family should be able to enjoy dinner together. I hope they change this policy in the near future.“

The toppings were incredibly fresh. The egg was cooked to perfection with that nice, jammy yolk, the bean sprouts added a great crunch, and the meat was super tender.
The portion size is great—definitely leaves you full and satisfied.
The place is clean, the service is fast, and the vibe is very welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic, comforting ramen, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!“

“I finally tried Silverlake Ramen at the Porter Ranch Vineyards, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I’ve heard about Silverlake Ramen for years, so I was excited when they opened one so close to my house. I don’t remember the exact name of my order, but it was a chicken-based broth and I chose tofu as my protein (you can pick chicken, pork, or tofu). Seriously—YUM. The noodles were cooked to perfection, the toppings were just the right amount, and I completely got lost in that broth.

Everything was fairly priced, delicious, and the service was attentive and genuinely upbeat. I’m absolutely going back. We also tried a couple of appetizers—the gyoza and the crispy rice with spicy tuna—and both were great!“

Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). “My wife and I love sushi. We enjoy Katsuya and Nobu and many other fine establishments. We stopped going to these places (at a risk of sounding old) because of the the noise, the attitude, the kids screaming and have discovered this amazing gem in Encino - walking distance from our home.

It's a quiet place - under control - a relaxed atmosphere - friendly staff and helpful chefs. Most importantly - Incredible sushi and more - a very extensive menu.

“The food is amazing but the attitude and lack of honesty of the woman working behind the counter is concerning. They are frequently out of items that go in their premade bowls and rather than be upfront and honest about this, she substitutes for other ingredients or just leaves them out without notifying customers. This brings up both food allergy concerns as well as pricing issues for things like protein. And then she presents attitude towards those who inquire about these problems and often has to be talked to repeatedly to correct issues. This has been one of our favorite places to come but more recently the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.“
