“My local ramen spot in Valley Glen, Los Angeles, California on the border of Van Nuys and neighboring North Hollwood. Ramen Izakaya is great from take out or dine with a plethora of beverage options as well as eats. Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. A unique Japanese cuisine eatery with some LA Valley flavor and modern plant-based flare.“
“Japanese ramen chain in the Century City Mall. Came here for dinner with a friend and had no reservation, but we were able to get seated immediately. Credit cards accepted. You pick out your customized ramen via a piece of paper and you can also opt for appetizers. A vegetarian option is available. We got edamame to split and I opted for the red king, which had a good amount of spice. Compared to the Manila location, the portions were on the smaller side, but we still left satisfied. You can customize the spice level, noodle type, and the toppings. Service was a bit rushed but still friendly. Overall, it’s a good spot to have a meal on a cold night.“
“Make a reservation if you go here! We came on a Saturday afternoon and even though there were tables open they asked us if we had a reservation & when we said no they made us wait which threw us off a little! That being said, it's a gorgeous location and the ramen is amazing. The broth is absolutely divine & love that they gave an abundance of toppings. I will be back!“
“The place itself is tiny, but the service is impressive! The owner himself greeted us and answered questions about the menu, then gave us samples. Ended up getting the Hawaiian Poke combo with 1/2 cucumber and seaweed salad, and a ginger ale. My favorite thing off the menu is hands down the seaweed salad. The poke was good, I think that because it’s intended to be a new take on poke itself, I was a little disappointed. I just happen to love the typical assembly line style of poke where you get to pick everything you want, and that wasn’t an option here, so I felt like there was something missing. It’s really just about personal preferences, but if you really like poke & want to try something different, then I would recommend it!Side note: I didn’t try the ramen, but the entire restaurant smelled strongly of broth and butter noodles, (in a good way) so I would be curious to try their ramen next.“
“I have to write this up while the food is fresh on my mind. Had an incredible meal here last night complete with cauliflower hot wings, two incredible vegan rolls of sushi (I'm not vegan and literally couldn't tell) and these jalapeno Boyz that were absolutely delicious! In short, I was absolutely blown away by the food, the service, and + bro, they have SNAPPLE. No photos because we devoured everything, no crumbs left behind.“
“Sweet little takeout soot with pleasing mod interior design & thoughtful touches throughout. We enjoyed the two vegan options and they each had very distinct flavor profiles, the spicy one being quite hot by default but still delicious. Really nice service and kind people. Highly recommend!“
“We just ate here this evening and the place doesnt disappoint. Its a tiny shop in a strip mall and the interior just feels so welcoming. The service tonight was pretty great, even with 3 kids, we felt so welcomed. Its hard to navigate with kids in small spaces but the food, the service and the space just felt very lively. The kids loved the fried chicken and the spicy ramen was fantastic.Kid-friendliness: Really kind and friendly. The kids loved our server, she was the best.“
“Very pleasant little place. Portions were not as big as some places, and the prices reflect. This is a good thing. The Kale noodles were really good. I was not expecting that. I veered from my usual pork based broth to a chicken and maybe that wasn’t the best idea but over all I was very “
“This place is amazing. Top notch service and the fooooooodddd is OMG!!! I can’t believe it took us this long to try this place. We were fortunate to be served by Betsy and Tia who were so friendly and professional. We had such a nice time. Highly recommend and will return soon.“
“Ramen Chef Kei is a highly skilled and very talented chef and the valley is lucky to have such plant based food of this caliber being offered. The yuzu sesame ramen is extraordinarily delicious, full of depth and flavor! The fresh yuzu really brings all the flavors out in the dish and I loved it! This is a spot to drive out of your way it's that delicious. Go now, thank me later!“
“My teenagers and I were impressed with the simplicity of flavors of all our dishes. We started off with an assorted sashimi plate that had 3 pieces each of tuna, salmon, kampachi, and Japanese scallops and a plate of scallop carpaccio. It was soo yummy that we ordered another plate of scallop carpaccio and then we felt like we just had to try the kampachi carpaccio. Sooo good and the scallops just melt in your mouth! For our main dishes, we decided to share the Spicy Tonkotsu with extra bamboo shoots and the Truffle Butter Tonkotsu. The broths were very flavorful, the noodles fresh, and the chasu was delicious. For dessert, the friendly staff recommended the house-made Shio Koji ice cream with black sea salt to help cleanse our palates. It was very light and definitely refreshing. And I also tried the Genmaicha tea which was very light, aromatic, and soothing. All in all this place is a must go-to when you're in Ktown. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and very helpful for suggesting menu items. This is definitely our family's favorite find of the year!“
“Dope lil spot tucked away in Sherman Oaks. Quality sushi, great service. Fun tunes too. Going to be a go to spot. Tonight had the Oh My Goodness Roll and the I Love Salmon Roll. Who's set the playlist here? They deserve some recognition.“

“I had takeaways a couple of times before & finally did dining ? in about a couple of weeks ago ! With my mom & sister & her husband . The waiter was super nice ,a very friendly Japanese guy who was excited to see Japanese customers !! He answered to all of my brother in law's questions & our questions very honestly & helped us a lot. He gave us a tip to get ramen/ sushi combinations, too ! So that we could try both out / save $ !! They had matcha beer ? which was green !! It smelled so nice !! My brother in law said he loved it! But,according to the waiter ,no one really does !? LOL He said everyone who orders it ,leaves a half .?But ,he really loved it as he likes matcha green tea .We had vegan sushi ,my fave is fake eel one !! So yummy !! ? Also, my sister's vegetarian fried rice - eggs = vegan looked/ smelled so good !! She loved it !! She had it w tofu ! We all had fried tofu, which is also vegan. I had a vegan miso Ramen & mom had a vegan shoyu = soy sauce ,Ramen, I had a bite of it ,too & both were delicious !! ? When we left ,the waiter ran out the store to catch us to thank us !! So sweet !! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for vegans, vegetarians & everybody who loves Japanese dishes !! The inside of the restaurant looked real nice / clean !! The bathroom was clean, too ! We were the only Japanese inside ! Lol. They were busy & all others were American customers. As well as my brother in law . My sister is American since a decade ago ! We'll definitely frequent this place !! They are very close to Trader Joe's & Farmers market & the Grove !! So you can visit them after you are done with some shopping ! ?Vegetarian options: Vegetarian fried rice ,2 different kinds of vegan sushi & vegan Ramen, miso or shoyu= soy sauce broth. Fried tofu dish, etc.!! I highly recommend all !!Wheelchair accessibility: My mom uses her wheelchair & it was easy to get in ( ramp ) & maneuve it inside ,they helped her a lot ,too ! Very nice !!“
“We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! Everything, from the poke bowl, salmon teriyaki, brussels sprouts, and edamame, were perfect! High quality food beautifully prepared. Very good service also. We will definitely be back.“
“My husband and I had the pleasure to dine in last night. We are from Glendale but had to make a drive out there and decided to stop here since the reviews were so good and the food or service did not disappoint! We got there about 40 mins before they closed but we were welcomed and not rushed to order or eat. We got 3 rolls and miso soups and it was all tasty! Other than that the service was amazing! We didn't get the name of the lady that served us but she was very nice and attentive. She was also kind to the chef which says a lot in my opinion. She said she was the relative of the owner but by her awesome service we really thought she was the owner. Love this place will come back.“
“It’s a unique take on ramen, good depth of flavor, great noodles, but for me the truffle dominates and the richness of the soup is too buttery. Like it for something new, but I prefer a more traditional take. I like truffle and I have had a dozen bowls in Tokyo. I was expecting the price, but at the end of the night it felt too steep.“
“This was an excellent meal. Merci the hostess who served me and took my order was very nice and attentive. The food itself, excellent. The salad that I got was sooo good. The dressing is some kind of sesame dressing and it was fabulous. Usually restaurants treat their salads as an afterthought and give you something basic with ranch, but not Kai ramen. The salad, wow.The ramen was also excellent. The broth was great and full of flavor and was nice and warm (temperature and heat wise, I got medium). The dish had a lot of different ingredients which kept it exciting throughout.Excellent experience, will be back again!(Parking lot fills up quick and is small, plan accordingly)“
“This is my second time going here. The ramen is very very yummy. On top of the delicious food, they have incredible service. Let me tell you about ✨️ROXANNE✨️! She saved my dog when it ran into oncoming traffic! She physically stopped the semi truck with her own two hands, even pushing it farther back so my dog was 100% unscathed. Then the solar eclipse happened and she was the last one illuminated before the sky went dark. One arm holding my little pug, the other halting the truck. She is truly incredible! ?“
“Small and cozy (and hidden above Panda Express on the corner of Reseda and Nordhoff), this Japanese eatery offers traditional dishes at reasonable prices and large portions. The service was prompt and friendly. The chicken katsu curry and seafood Ramen are the two best dishes.“
“Daaaaang! This food was delicious! We stopped by after a long hike, purchased the OG Plate which has mostly everything they serve. And devoured it! The consome was awesome as well! Dip everything in it!? Then we washed it down with a refreshing hibiscus drink! Will be back for the burrito!“
“One of the best tasting ramens everI have only ordered take out from this place and there food comes well packed the taste is amazingI recommend the seafood ramen with mushroomsIt’s the best tasting mushrooms everGreat place definitely have to dine in some time soon“
“We had zero expectations when we walked in - just needed a bite before heading to the Fonda. It was AMAZING!! We don't live nearby, but we've been telling everyone how much we loved it. Extremely kind staff, wonderful food, real wasabi available. It's not fancy and the prices are reasonable and we really appreciated that vibe. So good!! We'll be back any time we're in the area and are already looking forward to it.“
“It is chilly in LA tonight so how about some miso soup? Waku waku was just what we were looking for. We ducked in to warm up with a couple of bowls of miso and a salad. Waku waku also serves ramen, sushi and pokes. It all looks good we are staying up the block at the Dream only a block and a half away. We plan to come back soon. Recommend.“
“Really great sushi restaurant… we eat sushi a lot and this is high quality, yet reasonably priced. Very cosy inside, service was excellent & particular favourites were the Seared Salmon, Spicy Tuna (no.2) and the Lauren Roll. Highly recommend!“
“Chibiscus is one of my favorite ramen joints in all of LA because the quality and price can't be beat. Their Tonkotsu is so full of flavor! When ordering takeout, the broth comes separate from the bowl ingredients so you can pour over when you're ready. Even to-go it's some of the best flavor you can find with ramen. Ingredients taste fresh and filling always. Service is pretty on the ball considering ramen can take a bit to prepare. You could sub proteins and ingredients to tailor to your dietary needs which was nice! The inside is relatively small and it's in an unexpected random strip mall, but don't sleep on this one!“
“I've lived in this area almost 3 years and have been wanting to try it since. It definitely didn't disappoint. The crispy rice and spicy tuna was on point. Large portions and truly crispy.I had the vegan ramen , ordered spicy but was hardly spicy. We asked for more chili paste. The noodles weren't as soft as I like but that's a personal preference I guess. My son had the seafood ramen which he enjoyed.I also really enjoyed their Thai Tea. Most places make it too sweet but here, it was just right.Space is small but we saw two large groups seated comfortably inside.Would definitely come back and try other items.“
“I ordered the miso ramen and I think they gave me the spicy one by accident. Or maybe the regular is spicy too? Regardless, I was not a fan of the broth. The toppings were good though and luckily were separated so I was able to stir fry the noodles. 3/5 maybe would try a different broth I got the rose green tea boba and it was very good. The boba was pretty solid (chewy lol) and the tea was also. Would get again. 4/5.“
“This place has become a Weho staple. I live down the street and am so happy they exist. The fried Brussel sprouts and spicy tuna over fried rice are a must. Service is super fast and friendly. If you’re looking for a bang for your buck sushi place in Weho, this is it!“
“The staff is truly exceptional; even though I arrived roughly 20 minutes before closing, they processed my order and didn't pressure us to leave. They looked after my date and me. This is an excellent location to sample ramen. One of my favourite places is close by; I'd love to return! My mouth waters at the mere thought of it.“
“A sushi place inside a swap shop ?? Must be horrible … right ? … right ?????You. Have. No. Idea. How. Good. It. Is!!!Honestly, I was just looking for some cheap sushi to munch on. You know, $8 rolls or something.NopeeeeeeeeThis was one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to. First the service from Linda, she was great ! Super sweet and kind, great personality, and I never once saw her without a smile on her face. She definitely loves the craft and the business. Our chef was Omar. Man this guy is a magician ! The food was sooooooo good and soooo fresh. The rolls just melted in our mouths. I can’t wait to go back and I heard they’re opening other locations. But this is a GEMMMM !!!Prices don’t reflect a swap shop sushi place. It’s definitely like a real nice restaurant. But, the quality of food and the service matches a real sit down nice restaurant. The Sur sushi on fire roll … oh. My. Goooddddddddd ? Best roll thing I’ve ever had. It’s a sushi burrito ! Mannnnn it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. So good. Getting that again !The panorama roll, seaweed salad were delicious too !My girl had the salmon sashimi, so fresh. Melted in our mouths. The rice cakeeee !!! Incredible ! Fried rice patty with spicy tuna and avocado. Bro …. Bro …. So good. This is my new go to sushi spot!My ONLY complaint is they didn’t have the prices listed. Ended up spending $80. Just unexpected is all. But for the quality of the food I’m not complaining at all. Would’ve just liked to know each rolls was $16Definitely going again!“
“I ordered the creamy spicy vegetable ramen for myself and the shoyu chicken ramen for my son. The chicken ramen was delicious and very good value. The vegetarian ramen lacked flavour and complexity, no tofu/egg or any protein included. While the chicken ramen was great, the vegetarian ramen needs work to round up the flavours and make the bowl more of a meal. I was happy with the service and portion sizes were huge.“
“We just learned about Sola a couple of months ago and we've gone five times already. The food is outstanding, the restaurant is nice, with a cool mellow vibe, and the owner is friendly and fun to talk to.I've tried almost everything on the menu by now, from the sizzling mushrooms to the grilled onigiri, to the special salad covered in fried onions. It has all been great.Try the grilled mackerel and mixed dumplings, too. Seriously, everything there is delicious.Fairly quiet, so it's a perfect place for a date or meet-up with friends. And there's free parking downstairs!“
“Ambiance and service here were good. The food js also good. Although the ramen places at Sawtelle are much tastier, this place is still decent if you are craving for ramen and don’t want to make a long drive to Sawtelle. Although this place has a long waitlist, its still worth to give it a “
“Great place for a variety of ramens in the valley. The staff here is so kind and friendly. They are always smiling and make sure you get everything you need (drinks, napkins, food). Very traditional with their food. They offer 3 different broth options: Shoyu (Soy Sauce), Shio (Salt), and Miso. Their curry is aromatic and comes with a big chicken that can feed two people.“
“Great experience and food was delicious. The serving staff person was very friendly and listened to your every need. We had the chicken katsu, udon, curry, and seemed well for the soul on a cold evening. I came here for the reviews and will now leave mine although I wish I can give half a star more.“
“Love that they have the self kiosk where you can order on the screen and customize your ramen the way you like it. It's a small place but it's very cozy and the ramen there is sooooo good. This place is top tier and the service is amazing.“
“Northridge Eats is one of the BEST places I have ever gone to. My son loves the Bellyful chicken. He said that he loved the seasoning. and my daughter said that MEEDEE fried rice was soo good. I wish something like Northridge Eats opened in London.“
“I came here last Friday after my stepdaughter's dance performance. She was starving after a long grueling day of performing at her performing arts school. So we landed here at Tamashii Ramen House. This location in North Hollywood was the perfect medium from DTLA on the way to the valley. The street that it's on is very popping on weekend nights. We were happy to see that we got there just early enough to get a seat for a party of 3 without having to wait. The food was solid and the service was sincere. My favorite was the Spicy Miso Ramen Soup. This is a solid place that is reliable with good food.“
“Try an American ramen shop. But the pork bone soup is better than the weird restaurant in Japan.surprised.When I finished drinking the soup, the rough bits of bone marrow remained at the bottom of the bowl. The sushi and other menu items have a proper Japanese flavor. It's also a nice choice to use pine from the back of Fukushima for sake.I was full.He ran to the front of the store and delivered the USB cord that I forgot inside the store because I was drunk.thank you very much!“
“We love it! They are always super nice and attentive! Never have to worried about where my waiter is. Food’s always tasty. We have tried a few items on the menu but always go back to Chicken Karaage bowl, the scramble egg is always perfect!“
“Welcome to the hidden gem of Japanese dining in Los Angeles. It's family owned and operated, has been open for decades and its master chef was trained in Kyoto. These chefs get top picks at the fish market and it shows. Iroha has a massive menu featuring many cooked dishes. There's something for everyone here--I'm looking at you, vegans :)“
“I stopped by Enjoy Bowl recently for lunch and had a good experience here. Ordered the Spicy Cheese Tonkotsu ramen and a Pork Bao Bun on the side. Service was good with the staff bringing the food to my table promptly and the ordering process was quick. The inside of the restaurant is quite spacious, clean, & bright with plenty of booths and tables for seating. They serve a more simplified menu of Ramen, Bibimbap, & Kimbap dishes. My ramen was delicious with a good amount of heat as I chose very spicy for my heat level and the pork belly was soft and tender. The noodles were chewy and springy and there was a good amount of cheese mixed with the broth which made for a rich, creamy flavor. The egg was also perfectly cooked and it was quite an enjoyable bowl overall. The pork bao bun was delicious with a nice, thick piece of pork in the middle and the bun was soft and pillow like. Overall, this is a good spot if you are in the Northridge area and if you are craving Ramen or Bibimbap, I recommend stopping by!“
“While I have always enjoyed ramen, I don’t feel like I have ever been blown away any particular meal from a ramen place. That changed today, because I think that Tatsu Ramen made the best ramen I have ever eaten.I ordered the bold ramen with pork and a soft-boiled egg and it was just incredible. Everything from the pork to broth and the noodles themselves just had such incredible flavor. I can’t sing their praises enough and highly recommend this place.“
“While the ramen is quite good, try their other non-ramen offerings. Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). Service as fast, friendly and attentive and the dining area was very clean. Value for the meal is excellent especially for West LA! Cannot recommend enough!“
“The food is good.I ordered the medium sized teriyaki chicken and it came with a small bowl if rice and a side salad that us drenched in a creamy Japanese dressing.the chicken was sliced thin and it was simply delicious.I go here at least once a week ordering other combinations off their menu. Its a fairly small place with 4 tables,3 two person tables in the hallway and a small counter for 4 people.you pay for your meal up front and it takes a short amount of time depending on how busy they are.“
“Their uni sushi never fails to impress, always fresh and packed with flavor. The scampi garlic shrimp roll is another good one . their omakase is good, with a variety of selections. And of course, their sweet shrimp is always good. This place is a staple for any sushi lover in the area.“
“It’s a busy place even on a Wednesday night. Came here after a movie and sat at the booth area. It was a bit hectic trying to get their attention but it’s busy. The spicy level 1 wasn’t spicy to me but still good. Chasu was a bit overcooked. Takoyaki was good.“
“Really enjoyed my lunch here. I've had the Spicy Miso Ramen (medium heat) and the Pork Katsu & Fries. The battered fries were perfectly crisp and fresh and the sandwich was good, but the Spicy Miso Ramen was hands down some of the best ramen I've had. The broth was creamy and flavorful, the noodles had just the right amount of substance to them, and the portion size was perfect.I'll be heading back here any time I'm in the area.“
“Fresh & affordable Japanese food. Chicken Karaage entree w/ sesame salad, cold pasta, miso soup & rice. Tasty mixed tempura, appetizers & ramens.Vegetarian options: Vegetable tempura and ramen and vegie sushi rolls are availableWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor with ramp for wheelchair and space to move in aisle.“
