“A small spot right on Venice Beach with about 20 seats—all outdoors, but they have heat lamps, so it’s pretty cozy. Prices are fair for the area at around $ 16 a plate. We showed up at 7 PM, just 30 minutes before closing, but still found a table easily and got served super quickly. The staff was really friendly! As for the pasta, it was okay, but a bit plain and nothing to write home about. Overall, a convenient and affordable option near the beach.“

We tried the spicy grilled chicken, a curry, and the garlic chicken wings—seriously, do yourself a favor and order those wings! Everything tasted fantastic, service was super friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The neighborhood around Hollywood Blvd can feel a bit dodgy at night, but it’s definitely worth the trip“

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

There dishes could include more varieties of vegetables but if you ask they can accommodate but for example instead of drunken noodles just having pepper and basil leave it could include multiple vegetables like baby corn, carrots, peppers and broccoli. Great experience overall.“

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“Really enjoyed the dishes, ordered a broken rice plate (amazing), vermicelli, pho, spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee and flan (awesome). Everything was delicious, I would say the spring rolls were sort of bland so they should enhance those somehow. Other than that I'd eat there again and the staff were delightful!!!!“

“Stopped by Mee Dee Thai before my flight back to NYC, and I’m so glad I did. The food was super tasty, and every dish looked just as amazing as it tasted. We ordered the green beans with tofu, chicken larb, crying tiger, tom yum soup, crab fried rice (real crab!!!), and mango sticky rice. You could really taste each dishes distinct flavor!

+ Dan Mien with short ribs was good. Noodles were chewy, beef was well seasoned.

- Sesame noodles were terrible. Texture was similar to plaster of paris and taste was off. It could be that I'm used to toasted sesame oil and this was just (untoasted?) sesame.

+ Pan-friend dumplings were tasty. Texture was great -- love crispy exteriors and soft interiors.

* Daughter loved the boba tea. I thought it was just average -- fine but no outstanding flavors. Give me Sunright any day over this (or any other!) boba.“

“I’ve been to Taiko various times and have always left extremely happy and satisfied! I actually celebrated my birthday dinner here. Their sushi, rolls, and sashimi are extremely fresh and well made. I am obsessed with the baked crab roll, and everyone at my birthday loved it, too! The Hamachi Kama is super nice and tasty, so is the ramen (the picture is what I served myself from my dad’s bowl, the actual dish has a very generous portion!!) My dad would also like to note that they have the COLDEST beer in town. The servers are all super nice and are always very happy to see me again. Overall it’s a great spot for either a casual dinner or to celebrate :D“

“4 out of five ★. Love the concept. The ambiance is nice, the service very nice and the food very very good. The concept itself is spectacular. Sadly, it does not work as well in all locations - our visits to the Pasadena location always led to disappointments. Worse: many communications were exchanged, which led nowhere (and we never went again). I highly recommend this particular UOVO. Why "only" four out of five stars then? I do n to like to be bullshitted. They strive that they are a "no-tipping" restaurant as they properly pay their employees - which sounds amazing, in every aspect. Then they charge you an extra 16% "fee". C'mon guys. No one likes to be bullshitted. You offer an excellent deal for Wonderfull food. If you like to keep the "no-tip-strategy" raise food and drinks by a dollar or two. No one would complain.“

“Love a fully vegan spot, and this place has a big menu and all the charm of a cute ma-and pop-restaurant. Also lots of fun restaurants in the same parking lot with seating, so something for everyone if they aren’t a vegan believer.

As for the food, all freshly made and piping hot. Love that you can add fake meats to anything for not too much extra.

Only nit-pick was I wasn’t a fan of the fried rice (not enough tofu for my taste and a bit bland), but portion size was plentiful.
