“Okay I've lived all over the valley throughout the years, and have been eating at Jack's on and off for at least ten years now. The guys who work there are all super friendly, down to earth people who can make you whatever quick easy meal you're looking for. Simple menu, cheaper than anywhere else around, and always on point. Sometimes I'll find myself here a couple times a week because it's just always satisfying. Massive plates of chili cheese fries with fresh onion, pastrami sandwiches that have no business using such good quality meat for so cheap. I'm not usually a review guy but this is a small business that has always been consistently good to me, and I hope more people stop by to support them.“

“Loved everything! The service was warm and friendly, the food amazing and the space is beautiful. The only thing I'd change is the soundtrack volume as it was a very shrieky hip hop rap that was difficult to listen over and concentrate with. Thank you for your hospitality.“

Ordered 4 dishes between 2 of us and must say that our favorite was the goat liver mousse. The crumpets that accompany the mousse were the star!Parking: Parking is along the street around the restaurant. May be difficult to find parking if coming during peak dinner hours. Some streets may be dark so be wary of surroundings.“

“This jungle sanctuary is worth every dime. The decor is amazing, the service is excellent and the food is exquisite. Everything at Meteora is memorable; whether it's the à la carte menu or the set menu. The sweet pea hors d'oeuvre or the risotto entrée or the rib eye (the wagyu is advised) or the chocolate ganache with sorbet for dessert. Every dish leaves an unforgettable taste in your mouth. “AOC has always been a “go-to” restaurant for all the right reasons- food, food, food, service, service, service, ambience, ambience, ambience. I must have dined there +20 times and it just keeps getting better. And, NO, I was not paid for this review. I am particularly “gushing” with my comments this time because my wife and l are dealing with stressful external forces in our life and AOC provided a little quiet from the storm and performed perfectly in every way. During this All-American™ escapade, I was slyly offered a small bag, containing salt-upon-sea, by a dishevelled, camoflauged Hollywoodian native whilst engourging of the delicacies delivered by this All-American™ "Clark Street Diner" (克拉克街餐厅). I indulged in this salt-upon-sea once entering their one (1) lavatory. This legal and easily accessible substance enhanced my dining experience tenfold. It should be offered at the table, and is my only complaint with the experience. The staff was also the nicest I've ever talked to, asking me if I was sure I wanted the x-hot. They even gave a sampler to show me what's up! “This place is interesting. Upon arriving we were told they wouldn’t seat us until our whole party was there which was interesting because there was no wait otherwise (we were missing 1/3 people. I got a cold brew with a little oatmilk and vanilla and it was solid. I ordered the chicken biscuit and had asked if I could add American cheese to it because I saw their other biscuit had it but was told that they couldn’t give me a (1) slice of cheese because it’s reserved for another dish on the menu….. (the other biscuit) so the waiter suggested preserves which I went with and it was most of the flavor for the chicken biscuit. The chicken was nice and crunchy, the biscuit itself was warm and soft but ultimately dry without any sauce. I loved the Filipino inspired dishes on their menu. My wife had the breakfast burrito with longanisa in it and she loved it“

“1 star deduction because the tables are awkwardly small for 2, and the food all came out within 5 minutes, resulting in the waiter trying to jam way too many plates on at once. restaurant needs to learn courses and timing, even with family style meals. the food all came out even before we got our drink order(which was placed first) food & ambiance 5 stars. we were lucky to happen upon jazz night on the 2nd and 4th fridays of each month. strong smell of truffles when you enter, so truffle haters beware. mushroom arancini- crispy fried outer layer, with rice and mushrooms on the inside sitting on a truffle based sauce. overall delicious but could be more generous with sauce as inside seems a bit bland without it. still great pastrami wagyu topped bone marrow- amazing. served with warm toast. great decadent combination here striped bass - very well done. fish was tender and cooked perfectly. sauce was almost drinkable labneh- first time trying this dish, a strained yogurt. served with warm soft delicious pita. will definitely order this every time i return price ended up less than $100 pp with tip“

“Wanted to try something new so we decided to stop by and it exceeded our expectations! We got the Patita, Sisig, garlic rice, and lumpia. The patita was extremely crispy on the outside while the inside was very soft and fell off the bone! The sauce was amazing and the garlic rice went well with the dish! The sisig was soft and flavorful but had a bit more of a soy sauce taste to it which was not something I was used to with regular sisig, but still great ! Lumpia was crispy and loved eating it with the sweet and sour sauce!“

“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“Eggs bacon and waffles were spectacular! Waffles stands out by being light, fluffy and undeniably the best waffles I have ever had. I asked to separate waffles from eggs and bacon and think this is the way to go! French toast, burrito were also very good. “Went to Tom's on Friday 4/26/24 and had the pleasure of having Justin as our waiter. This was our first time here, and the service from Justin was excellent. He had a great attitude, very friendly, nice smile, and very attentive. He came about every 10 minutes to make sure everything was ok. He also helped with suggestions on food items, which the food was delicious. Would definitely go back if we can continue to have Justin as our waiter.“

“I’m a restaurant manager and I’m always impressed by this restaurant. My fiancé and I have been coming here once every few months for years and it is, hands down, our favorite restaurant. We order the same amazing things: Drinks: Strawberry Fields and Amber Beer Appetizer: Crunchy Rice; Octopus Entrées: Pork Tenderloin ; Flat Iron Steak Dessert: Key Lime Pie; Bread Pudding The food is amazing and the ambiance is great. They feature local artist by showcasing new art on their walls. Although the food and vibe are 10/10, it’s the customer service that keeps us coming back. The staff is attentive. No matter who our server is, everyone there is ready to lend a helping hand. FRED! FRED!! FRED!!! We love Fred! He greets us with a smile every time we come by. “We had a delightful experience today! We started with the Chowder Sampler, then had the Crab Cake, Monkey Bread, and the Live Sea Urchin. We then got the Black Cod with Blistered Snap Peas. This dish was our least favorite, although it wasn't bad. We ended our meal with the Boozy Brûlée and Ice Cream. Beware! “I like this place. They have a great wine selection and their charcuterie and small plates are delicious. The Marcona almonds are well flavored/seasoned. The olives are also well-marinated. Their meat board contains delicious selections of cured meats and cheese with some sweet jam. All of these items pair nicely with their Chilean red, which is a reasonably priced and tasty bottle. I've only eaten inside but they have a nice patio in the back. The inside is dim and cozy. This is a great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. “I was in Santa Monica yesterday morning in line to eat at another restaurant. It was already lunch time. But I wanted breakfast food. I asked the people in line if that restaurant served French Toast for breakfast. A very nice young woman with a cute dog said "go to John O'Groats" if you want a traditional French Toast Breakfast. I followed her advice and drove out to John O'Groats. I am so glad that I did. This place is a tradition diner with a lot of charm. The French Toast was great. As was the coffee. The service was good. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning to this location with friends. This is a great place to have lunch or dinner. Before I drove out there, I called. I got an outgoing voice message. I left a message in which I said that I had wished that someone had answered the phone. I just wanted to know if they are still serving breakfast. When I arrived, the proprietor said to me "You called didn't you?" I answered in the affirmative. He responded "We have breakfast all day every day!" I wish I had taken down the name and contact information of the woman who recommended John O'Groats. “What a great dining experience! Kali always delivers in cuisine, service and hospitality. The new scallop ceviche was outstanding and the Delta Asparagus with a whipped béarnaise is something I look forward to every spring. The wine list offers compelling selections which bring out the best in every dish. Although the drive from Orange County is long, a dinner at Kali is well worth the journey. “Where do I start with how much I love this place? As a photographer it's a joy and a delight to be here but even without the fact that I've worked there many times... The food the decor, the staff.. if you get a chance to meet Eden Alpert you're lucky. Always kind.... And you'll notice that she's probably having the best time of anyone. The music and the performers are top-notch. It's not uncommon to see some of the top names in jazz.. however don't be surprised if you see Seth MacFarlane doing songs from Sinatra or an Amy Winehouse tribute. Sound mix is even and the perfect volume. Highly recommend the Caesar salad with a plate sized parmesan crisp and the mini ahi tuna tacos and save room for the hot chocolate cake. Food is top of the line and jazz club is elegant and upscale. Can't wait to eat and shoot pics there again soon.“

“I was at Fixins for the first-time last Monday evening and I'm definitely coming back! Genuinely friendly service that made me feel welcomed every second in that facility! I had the Deep-Fried Deviled Eggs (must-try) and the Fish Sandwich. The deviled eggs were delicious, and the crispy, golden exterior provided the perfect contrast to the creamy, flavorful filling. Topped with a drizzle of tangy sauce and a bit of bacon, each bite was a perfect blend of textures and tastes. Supa hot fire indeed. The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. I have only been here once so far so I have a lot more I need to try but when I did go I ordered the chicken and waffles....MY GOODNESS!!! it was one of the best chicken and waffles I have ever had. Everyone working here was super nice and the time we went we took our dog so we were eating outside. But too many people were walking by and distracting our dog so the server kindly let us eat inside even though we had a bigger dog. The staff here were super sweet and friendly. The only thing that was a little annoying was inside was REALLY loud. It's kind of a small spot and it gets really packed so it just sounds like people are shouting their conversations to be heard. We had to leave a little early because my gf was getting anxious from the noise. But the food and service was amazing!“
