“My day did not go as planned and I found myself having dinner out on New Years Day. I sat at the bar. Ashley was the bartender. She’s taken care of me before. She’s a doll to everyone she serves. The food was delicious- you can’t go wrong with the stuffed mushrooms. I was greeted by a female manager (didn’t get her name) and she was just as kind as Ashley. I will be back to Longhorns in Gainesville. Happy New Year!”

“Bowling $60 for an hr and mini golf $13ish per person was fun tho!! Food was yummy. We got the pepe balls, bbq sandwich, and tenders. Yummy. The parking lot at the place you have to pay to park as it is not decoys parking lot is $8. So just go park in one of the parking decks. Sunday is hit or miss if they are busy bar tender said. Was pretty dead when we went from 4-6ish today on a Sunday.”

“Sunday, brother and I choose to have dinner at this place and it was the best decision. Entrance greeting Service was great! It was a 30 min waiting time but they took care of us way faster !! Our server Hispanic young fella was awasome very polite and fantastic people skills very friendly, food was incredible delicious and fresh brewed coffee I will definitely come back and highly recommend . “I took my MIL to this location Sunday for lunch. We had a great experience and will definitely be back! The parking lot seemed full, but we were greeted and seated right away. Rebecca was our server and she was very pleasant and accommodating. We had the Road Kill with two side items...green beans and mashed potatoes. So delicious! Of course the rolls were awesome. We also had an order of fried pickles. I placed a to go order for my husband towards the end of our lunch. We look forward to our next visit!”

Had the BBQ chicken plate which in my occasion can feed two and some, exceptional portions the sides where home cooked flavors by far I will take the credit for not cooking dinner anytime if we get to go back for more. A father and son bond as we where welcomed in and a 100 score on food certificate which indicated cleanliness as I saw the own cleaning and the son tending us with great kindness, Make sure to request the peach cobbler it's the cherry topper.”

“First of all, the place is extremely clean, the weight staff is incredibly friendly and courteous, and the food is not only delicious and well proportioned but also very reasonably priced considering inflation. It’s sort of a sports bar atmosphere, but who cares when the food is so good and so reasonably priced. There are literally no decent restaurants in Gainesville in spite of the fact that it’s a rather large city and has two major college campuses so this is a welcomed addition. Finally, they have a robot that brings you your food during the week. It’s a lot of fun.”

“I live in Flowery Branch but recently took over Auto Fitness in Gainesville and I have been looking for a place just like Sweet Magnolia's. When my daughter visited me for lunch I thought we would try it out and I am so glad that we did. The minute we walked in I thought the place looked great and felt so clean. Made it to the counter and was told that it was family owned an everything was made fresh. We were made aware of the specials, the bread and the soup of the day. I am a Rueben sandwich nut and it's so hard to find a really good, authentic one and they nailed it. Fresh corned beef the right amount of sauerkraut and the thousand island was perfect. My daughter got the Cuban and it was also made to perfection. I understand the importance of word of mouth and reviews and if you haven't been to Sweet Magnolia's you've got to visit, you won't be disappointed. Now that I have found them, it will be my go to when I am craving something healthy (great salad menu) or just a fresh sandwich. Oh, the potato salad was so fresh and great as well. Thanks to this great place for changing the way I will be experiencing lunch, I'll be bringing members of my team here weekly as a reward for their work. Looking forward to coming back. “I am a big Tupelo Honey fan. So I was super excited when one came to Gainesville GA. But I think we just picked the wrong night to go. The two host where super friendly and making sure they got everyone seated timely for their reservation, but they mentioned it was the most reservation they have had since opening May 2025 and our server said the same thing. So I just fill the kitchen was just over whelmed. We went with the fixed menu for two and the grilled chicken was just that- very dry and the red sauce was again just that sauce. Bussell sprouts where more leaves than the sprout. But we loved the atmosphere and the amazing bottle of wine "love" we had. Will we go back, of course we will, these hiccups I am sure where holiday related.”

The gravy was smooth and warm with the red hot giving a good amount of spice. Very curious to see what else was offered, I returned a few days later to get a burger to go as is advertised on their sign up front. The burger was surprisingly juicy and delicious. What even more surprising was learning that Mama Ruth’s has been around since 1975! With a diverse menu and friendly customer service, I can see why it has continued to thrive.”

However, it is hard to beat their hot breakfast pancakes, powder sugar dusted French toast, cheddar scrambled eggs, home fries with onions, country-fried steak with scrumptious brown gravy, french fries, fried grouper filets, delicious tiny green lima beans, fresh-brewed sweet iced tea, generous fresh-cut lemon wedges, tasty spaghetti with meat sauce, complimentary jalapeño and lime juice marinated cucumbers, juicy fried chicken legs, crisp corn muffins, home baked brownies, and the hard to find 18-item deluxe salad bar. Those crunchy croutons really rock! The refreshing bite-sized cut-up fruit dishes are an additional favorite, as well as a healthy dessert choice. The only entree I don’t personally care for is the fried salmon patties. ( In my culinary opinion. they need more chopped onions and lemon juice in the mix to cut the fishy flavor.) However, many diners relish them topped with white gravy. I just cannot say enough good comments about this fine eatery and the quality individuals who frequent here. Come sample their cafeteria-style offerings. Many local people frequent this hot spot daily with good reason. Their food is great. You will not be disappointed.”

“From Blairsville, had been by Yonah Burger many times but had not eaten there in several years. Stopped by today on a whim to grab lunch. Burger was good, kind of expensive, but so is about every place else. What really struck me, though, is the friendly greeting, they take your NAME for your order, not a number!..asked everybody ordering how their day was going and how they were, and when everybody leaves, told everybody thank you and have a great rest of your day..that is SOOO rare these days...usually a short, insincere greeting and rarely a thank you nowadays at most places..this place is a breath of fresh air! Will be back..BTW, I remember Yonah Burger as a kid back in the '70's..and I know it has survived at least one fire, and has been grazed by a tornado during those many years..I hope it continues for many more!”

“Super busy & crowded with no place to sit. One little table with 2 chairs, one covered with boxes, the other one occupied by some rude guy who didn't even offer it to me, even though I had to stand for a long time, holding on to my husband's arm & leaning on my cane. I'm old, gray-haired, and obviously handicapped. Seriously? The poor guy behind the counter was trying to keep up, until he finally had to call someone (from the store next door?) to come help. They have a ridiculous variety of cold treats but - OMG! The amount of sugar! However, NO frozen yogurt - disappointing, since I can't have regular ice-cream - and the raspados we got tasted like pure syrup with an additional teaspoon of sugar in every bite. Impossible to eat. And then they wonder why there's such a rampant spread of obesity, diabetes and disease in the Hispanic community! 😱”

“We were craving Waffle House and you guessed it, we met our cravings. If you’re looking for a nostalgic and some southern with a twist diner vibes, if you know what I mean lol. We ordered the all star breakfast, which comes with your choice of grits or hash browns, choice of meat, and waffle. And we order the two eggs and meat breakfast which comes with hash browns, and your choice of meat. It also comes cheese, but we subbed onions and mushrooms. Service was pretty good, our server was fast, and joked here and there. Kept the atmosphere light despite the chaos of customers coming in and out, the cooks and servers, busboys cleaning… overall, a good experience. If you’ve never been to a Waffle House, don’t expect it to be super clean, because they are open 24 hours. But if you’re down for breakfast all day, or a whit bite at any time of the day, this is the spot for you. Great for small or large groups. Till then, let’s eat!”

Down the road found pickles on all but one and one slice of bacon not completely done on every one. The corn pups were still cold in the middle where they were not cooked. We were told at the window it took so long because an employee had just walked out and quit. This was 7/12/2023. Not happy.”

Every time the Dutch Brothers Mario and Luigi give me a recommendation for my drink they say something stupid, but Scooter's staff Ashly gives banger after banger for drink recommendos. And the sheer speed at which they delivered drinks and the smiles and kindness all around from Kay gave life back into my shallow heart. I had to get my BEST FRIEND to take a group picture with this group because they revitalized my life. Thank you Scooter's Coffee in Gainsville Georgia! Gainsville Georgia gets is GAINS from these three wonderful staff members.”

“We used to get pizza at other pizza chains in Gainesville. A little over a year ago my dad recommended this location after he had their pizza at a hospital birthday party. The pizza here is great with good portion toppings. Honestly, I forget what the combo I ordered was called, but it had eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast. A perfect amount and variety for a breakfast to power the start of a day in the mountains. Hard to beat the combination of friendly service, fast cooking, and quality of the meal. And the prices are reasonable, too.”

I'm tired of getting fried rice nowadays with just only rice, but this place still does like with the onions, carrots and peas, as it should be.... I also ordered the Crab Rangoon's and they were the yummy triangles, not those cheese wonton things with barely anything inside. Good price point too and a can soda came with my lunch meal.
