“The peeps who work here are the sweetest (literally and metaphorically) people around. They are Maui-famous for their butter rolls and pastries, and for a reason! Those rolls are the most perfect balance between sweet and savory, soft, fluffy, and a vibrant yellow.

Other than the butter rolls, there are other equally delicious pastries, such as the donuts and cinnamon rolls. A tip - the cinnamon rolls are kinda sweet… if you don’t have a sweet tooth maybe order a dozen butter rolls instead - your mouth will thank you.

There is a reason why locals are lined up around the block for this bakery from 8am. From the hospitality to the food, there is not a single reason to skip this bakery on your trip to Maui.”

“We have been regulars here for about three years. Love the friendly, laid-back atmosphere, the fantastic lattes and of course the avocado toast - but most of all the music. This place is musician-friendly and audience-friendly and everyone has a great time. Highly recommended.”

“My husband and I went here right after we landed because it was on the way to our hotel.

It’s a hole-in-the-wall place and we both got the chicken katsu. He got the kimchi as a side and I got the salted cabbage. Both were delicious!

I went there to shoot a game of pool or two. to my surprise there was a person there named Charlie or Chuck as I like to call them. that made me feel like I have known them for a long time. ya know that feeling when you maybe knew someone in a past life. everyone there was cool as hell. welcoming for sure. mostly locals small family ran family owned bar. the bartender was on point and the drinks are exactly what you want. nothing but good vibes there...... PS if you go in there ring the bell. and let them know that Lee did warn you. I'll be back...... alot!”

“This bar has friendly owners, bartenders and amazing food. Fried Chicken is a hit, their poke nachos is my favorite from the PUPU menu, steak and onion to perfection, and ice cold beer always. You will not regret your visit because of the awesome service that they provide, an immediate greeting as you walk in the door always, I haven’t been to a bar on Maui that had such good service. If you love to sing 🎤 Karaoke I highly recommend this place. Thank you Tokyo Lounge OHANA (family). Oh another thing I forgot to mention is that they Host private parties. I am definitely going to make reservations here by calling ahead of time to make sure I get a spot for my private birthday parties. Oh yes an awesome live bands as well.”

“Delicious! On a cruise ship for a few weeks from Orange County, California. Sailing from Port of Long Beach. I usually go to Garden Grove/Westminster for all my Vietnamese cravings- weekly. I was missing it so I decided to try this spot! Oh my goodness! Heaven! Flavors are all there and I love the Banh Xeo! The coconut flavor in the banh xeo and the nuc mam, and a plus for cutting up the shrimp! So glad I found this spot! Was skeptical, but finding yummy Banh Xeo is slim to none, especially ones that have the coconut flavor!”

“Although there was a longer wait due to a busy Friday night, the overall experience was very pleasant. My wife and I were seated and felt genuinely cared for by the staff. There was a small delay initially, but our server was extremely apologetic and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal to ensure everything was okay. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out and made us feel valued. We appreciated the attentive service and look forward to coming back.”

“I am happy to see this local family get a brick and mortar location. For those of you that are from upcountry. These are the guys that used to do the ono BBQ on the weekends a few years ago. Then they were in Lahaina for a little while then at Foodland Maui Lani. Now they have this place. The food is still great and the value is awesome. These guys really give you bang for your buck. This trip I ordered the BBQ Steak plate and the BBQ chicken Plate. They both come with rice and green salad and their house dressing which I love the taste. I have tried almost everything on the menu with the exception of some of the specials and I can say they have some of the best BBQ plates on the island. I really like their BBQ chicken the flavor is all the way thru the meat. The location is new to them so it is still a little bare but they are working on it. I highly recommend these guys. The service is really good and I really like the fact that I am supporting hard working locals than know how to crank out good food at a good price. I recommend stopping by. The nice thing is you can buy the meat by the pound if you extra hungry.”

“I am a lifelong Starbucks consumer. I’ve gone to more of its locations around the world than I can count. My boyfriend and I are at the drive thru every morning just after they open, while it’s still dark out. Our drinks are always good, of course, but what sets this location apart from all of the others is the customer service. They are always welcoming, friendly, know your favorite drinks, and just in general are exceptional at attracting and keeping happy customers. I honestly think, as a former restaurant owner, that they should be the gold standard. Just drive by this location and you will see that there is ALWAYS a long line of cars! Kudos to all of the wonderful Starbucks staff at the Wailuku location!”

She hovers over while trying to make a decision in ordering--feel rushed. Also, she hovers again when paying the bill--like she may think we are going to run off, or stiff her on a tip. Management--it seems she just needs training to become a real waitress.
She doesn't seem understand what she is indirectly projecting to customers. Otherwise, She is warm, and provides good service.”

“This Starbucks location is slightly above average (which is very good, it’s a great chain). It’s a stand-alone building in a windy spot so the walk from the car to the front door can be harsh on a windy day (after a 30km+ hike) but once inside everything is great. Clean, beautiful lighting, friendly staff, lots of room, great merch as always. Enjoyed our visit thank you!”
