“I planned a Sunday brunch to surprise seven of my ladies with bridesmaid proposal boxes, and the experience was truly beautiful from start to finish. The manager was incredibly kind and accommodating, even allowing me to come in early so I could thoughtfully place each proposal box at the table before our arrival. The ambiance alone set the perfect tone, warm, inviting, and such a lovely vibe for a special moment like this 🩷 From the hosts to our waiter and the entire staff, everyone was genuinely welcoming and attentive, which made the celebration feel even more memorable. As for the meal, I ordered the chicken and waffles. While the waffles weren't quite as fluffy as I expected, the staff handled it graciously and even adjusted the bill, which I truly appreciated. I still made sure to leave a nice tip in appreciation for the overall service and hospitality 🥰“

“While the baristas here are fantastic—friendly, quick, and excellent at making drinks—the leadership style on display is concerning. During my morning visit, I witnessed supervisors openly yelling at the employees. It is uncomfortable as a customer to see a team that is clearly trying their best being treated so unprofessionally. The frontline staff and the great atmosphere deserve better management.“

“It’s amazing that in such a big city like Chicago you can find those places that make you feel like you’re in a small town. I visit this Starbucks nearly everyday and am treated like family by Miss Betty, Moe, and the rest of the staff. “I go here once or twice a week for coffee and a little something to eat on my way to work. I love the new look of the Starbucks and I have to say the staff is always really nice to me. My wait time is no more than five minutes even though I’m busy mornings. They’re always asked me if I have a gift card one of them about to pay for my items and sometimes I have one on me and had forgotten to mention so being asked is a really helpful thing. I know other people have different things to say about the Starbucks, but my experience has been very positive.“

“The staff at this Starbucks is consistently friendly, professional, and hardworking. No matter how busy it gets, they are always pleasant and my order is almost always made correctly. The quality is remarkably consistent, which is why I keep coming back.

That said, this location has a serious capacity problem. During the morning rush, it's not unusual to wait 20 to 25 minutes for a coffee, even when using mobile ordering. The estimated pickup times in the app are often far too optimistic, and by the time you arrive, there can still be a significant wait.

To be clear, this doesn't seem to be a staff performance issue. If anything, the employees are doing the best they can under difficult circumstances. The problem is that there simply don't appear to be enough people working for the volume of customers this location serves. Whether it's hiring more staff, expanding the workspace, or finding another operational solution, something needs to change.

People are stopping in on their way to work and often need to be in and out quickly. The demand is clearly there, but the store seems overwhelmed during peak hours. Five stars for the staff and the consistency of the drinks, but management needs to address the staffing and workflow challenges that have become impossible to ignore.“

“It was a fine Sunday afternoon, skies were grey, clouds covered the sun. But didn’t cover the joy and excitement of our barista. She was the sun for today. Jacque was incredibly nice and helpful to us. She had recommendations for our drinks to make them better, advised us if the drink we were getting was going to be sweet or strong. Truly someone who enjoys her job and wants to make others day and I applaud her for that. Working in customer service is not for the weak. But someone like Jacque thrives in customer service and loves to elevate the experience for customers. Even wrote a funny note on me and my girlfriend’s drink lol. God bless her heart.“

“I looove this location. Shoutout to the entire staff, there are some names I don't know but I do always appreciate August and Kyle!! They are both so attentive and super kind. It's always a treat getting to see them when i can! This space is awesome, the team is STRONG especially when there are a bunch of coffee hours a week. They make coming to Starbucks fun and inviting always.

Be warned, during happy hour, it gets tight with all the people and also hectic. But please be patient because they're doing their best!

Perhaps once the debt ceiling is agreed upon by the politicians will SNAP increase.

Conditions are right for a Republican President in 2024. Imagine the flux of immigrants in our Supermarts pesting for our help, while $30 million intended for them in IL isn't being used.

May 2, 2023:. At Starbuck@Mariano I enjoyed a small coffee and blue berry muffin for $6.30 at Starbuck@Mariano's, before I shopped. Too expensive; I agree.

After I saw new Podiatrist, I had a cup of coffee at SBX at4015 N. Lincoln, with a delicious Biscotti Vanilla with roasted nuts.

Of course it was not cheap ---

“My neighborhood Starbucks in Chicago is fantastic. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. They even offer free pupuccinos for my dog, Micah the Messenger. They also have a nice outdoor seating area with plenty of tables and chairs, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee while taking in the sights and sounds of the city.“

“Perfect banana bread matcha today! Appreciate these outstanding ladies this morning asking questions and making my beverage how I liked!

They need to focus on retraining. Use to work for the reserve and this starbucks does not take their recipes seriously. I spend over $40 a week here and they cannot consistently make a good matcha! Last week came for my banana bread matcha they gave me that new coconut cold foam. And I am allergic to coconut. Yea I got an apology but what if I took a big sip ? They need to do better or I am going to find out who the manager is and start complaining to the higher ups. The next starbucks is at Jewel Osco. And they are always slow in the mornings. “I normally don't review Starbucks but this one just had such a lovely atmosphere. For being inside a Target there's a bunch of little nooks to sit in and quietly work. The main area has big windows looking out on to the river and it just add to the already calming vibe of the place. My order came out quickly and was delicious! At this location, everytime I receive a plastic cup (cold drink) and put it in my cup holder, there seems to be a crumb layer of some sort on the bottom of the cup. The bar/counter probably should be cleaned more, and perhaps wipe the bottom of the cup before relaying. Has happened at least 10 times.

“I came here after a dental visit at Minty Dental Boutique because I had time to kill. It's nice in here. The chairs and tables are far enough so you're not eavesdropping on other customers' tables, and there's a nice view outside if you want to people watch or look toward traffic. I only stayed about 20 minutes, long enough to eat an Impossible breakfast sandwich and potato quiche with hot cocoa (yum!), but the three baristas I conversed with were cool too. No complaints. It's clean. No garbage. Tables look like they're being wiped off.“
