“We're in Chicago for a week and we stopped to eat here twice. Delicous, clean, filling and fresh.

The fried laghman noodles were nice and had a great chew. The veggies were cooked perfectly, the meat was tender and the overall dish was not super oily like others we've tried. Portion is bigger than it looks so go hungry.

The ayrim sai laghman was also delicious and light.

The plov was also delicious and not too oily. The raisins were plump and were great with the savory rice. And of course quail eggs with plov are always perfect.

The white dumpling soup (chuch wara) had a great broth and dumplings were well cooked and tasty.

Most important is to try the bread! The bread is sooooo delicious and cooked in a tandoor. Samsa is also cooked in tandoor and is super juicy!

“This is my 2nd time here and I had a great experience twice, 1 for lunch and 1 for dinner. We tried their Chungkiwa BBQ special and it was very good with multiple meat options, all very good quality and flavorful. My favorite was the beef and the spicy pork.
The servers were super nice. AND we got ice cream after!
The restaurant has a very interesting interior design. I love everything about it. Will definitely come back.”

“First time at this location as we were visiting my son and daughter in law and was truly disappointed about dinner . Ordered herb crusted chicken with a side kick of shrimp and got a plain grilled chicken breast and let manger know and she offered nothing but got a new actual herb crusted chicken 15 minutes later after everyone was about done with dinner ! Been to Texas by our house several times and ordered this same thing and never got this kind of service ! Not even a sorry let me make it right !”

For many years in the early 1990’s I worked at Moti Mahal on Belmont for the Sikand family and while I have never found any Restaurants Chicken Makani as good as ours was when cooked by Chef Nano but Trilokah put a different spin on their version with a sauce probably not as sweet but while watching ones sugar that is good and this version had so much meat and I Loved That in an era currently where many restaurants try to cheat you on meat and add extra vegetables - I actually got a dish better than what I had hoped for! Just Awesome!!!!”

“We were searching for a restaurant nearby and came across Wah! Taj. The reviews were really good so, decided to try it and I am glad we did. The kiddo got the combo bowl with daal n rice and chicken 65 and we got chicken biryani and the fish fry …. Everything was just so fresh and delicious and just felt like a good homemade meal. We also got Gajjar ka halwa for dessert and were just impressed with the quality of the food and the warmth and friendliness of the host. We will definitely be back for more 😀”

I live within walking distance, live right across from the library.
As always, the owners as you can see the gentleman in the pictures always smiling happy that we are all enjoying his restaurant.

The husband and wife team are amazing people there they have a great display of machines, snacks, Ramen, and the best fun drinks.

Today I went by because I was on a huge DoorDash order. It’s great to be able to come here as a customer and as a delivery driver.

So many drinks I took to a companies office.

It’s so great that the owners has the order ready for me as I arrived and can do very large orders.

I know my customers are happy. I’ve seen people sitting there with a smile and I’m so glad they are here with us in downtown Mount Prospect.

We’ve had our place since 2016 and I’ve seen many buildings and businesses come into our area.

“My girlfriend and I recently visited. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was really good, it reminded me of visiting my family in japan, who I have been missing a lot recently. I did find the 20% service charge a bit surprising. I did not see any signage for it or any notice on the menu. I was unsure if it was meant to take place of a tip. I also found it a bit odd that the wait staff would speak to me in Japanese, however, around my girlfriend (who was also using japanese and ordering from the japanese menu), they would speak in English only.”

“Surprisingly very good for a suburban Thai restaurant. The pad kee mao was one of the best I've ever had. I got it with the crispy noodles which were good but I didn't expect them to be super crispy, like a tortilla chip. I thought they'd be a mix of soft and crispy like I've had in other Thai restaurants. Next time I think I'll get the regular soft noodles.”

“Food was excellent — 5/5. The chefs behind the counter were very kind, and the manager was also very nice and helpful.

However, the hostess/waitress at the front was rude and unwelcoming. She initially told us to wait because the silverware was not ready. After about 20 minutes, I went back politely to ask for the menu and mentioned that we were ready to order if the wait was going to be longer. She said she did not know and told us we could leave if we wanted. That was very disappointing hospitality.

Thankfully, the manager handled the situation well and had everything ready within about 10–15 minutes. Overall, great food, great chefs, and a great manager, but I am taking off one star because of the waitress’s attitude.

Ill come back for the food because that was great.. but hope the service next time would be better”

“Love their food but some improvement is needed with ordering. I’ve had 2 issues which I wasn’t going to mention the first one but after today I decided to write about it so maybe Managment can see and tweak things a bit. First issue a while ago (I think about 5-7 months ago) I ordered a plain cheeseburger with fries and bottled water. Drive away from the drive-through and as I get ready to eat my food 10 min later I realize they didn’t put cheese on it. So I drove back and said I asked for a plain cheeseburger and you guys forgot to put the cheese on. Girl says ok and gets me a new one. Drive away and I park in front of the store to just take a peak and guess what. Again no cheese. Burgers have no cheese. Cheeseburgers have cheese. A plain cheeseburger gets nothing else except for cheese. A plain burger is just a bun and the burger patty. I just wanted to eat so I moved on and ate my plain burger. Today I ordered a Buffalo ranch chicken salad but I asked if I can have the chicken grilled instead of the breaded one and they gave me chicken without Buffalo sauce. If they weren’t sure they could have asked but this wasn’t for me. And this was not their first time ordering this item but they’ve never had an issue so somehow this message was confusing either to the kitchen or how it was rung in. This was ordered at 5:04:50 PM on 2/10/2022 receipt DT98. Order Id: AAANPKMJAQAH at the 861 E. Rand Rd. My. Prospect location. We didn’t have the energy to drive back and get the right chicken. Again, we love your food but these things shouldn’t keep happening. Thank you”

“I’m actually shocked this place even has any bad reviews. I always have a pleasant experience when I walk into their establishment. I was also born and raised in the city of Chicago and this place is the closest I've found to the authentic tamales sold by the local tamaleras on the streets of Chicago. I also make them myself but it’s a lot of work, so when I am craving some, I come here. 100/10.

Side note, they sell out fast so you usually have to get there pretty soon after they open. You can also call ahead and have them hold an order for you.

Another side note, if you have never made tamales yourself, you should not comment on the price. It is so time consuming and so much goes into making them. They sell their tamales for $42 a dozen which is like $3.50 a tamal. That is not expensive if you know how much goes into making each one. They forever have my business!”

“We like to go to the Costco Food Court for dinner when we have tickets to the movie theater next door. It's fast, cheap, and the food is always good. In my opinion, Costco has the best New York style pizza in the Midwest. The food court is always crowded, so it could be bigger. It is also adjacent to the exit aisle, so even more people pass by as you are sitting, enjoying your dinner. I like to think of it as a parade of shoppers, showing off what they purchased. I find it very entertaining. Of course, there is no table service at Costco, but the people behind the counter move a lot of food in a short amount of time. They are excellent. Over all, for a quick bite, the Costco Food Court is tough to beat. Give it a try, you don't have to be a member to enjoy the food.”
