I got something in a banana split container, but it was not a banana split. The second order was today and I ordered a Jamoca shake and it doesn’t taste like coffee even a little bit. It tasted like chocolate and there’s remnants of what seems like chocolate chunks mixed in. Very disappointing.”

“First time stopping at Bs Shrimp & Fish after driving by the area and seeing this new spot had opened up. I tried their shrimp, corn fritters, onion rings and spaghetti. Everything was bursting with flavor, the shrimp tasted very fresh. They make their own homemade sauces and what a bonus to find they carry other options like wings tenders, desserts, mac n cheese and much more. So glad to know we now have this jem in the neighborhood. I will be a returning customer for sure!”

The sweet and sour beef here is the truth and super authentic, the kimchi soup is just as good too! Highly recommend both of these dishes; the black noodles are alright, so I'd skip those. The service is friendly, but it's a small operation here (usually 1 person answering the phone, taking orders, handing out orders, seating people, etc.) It's a mom and pop restaurant and I hope it survives and thrives, because this place is doing authentic Korean food right.”

“Recently I’ve had the privilege of not only meeting the owner of this establishment but also trying their meatball sandwiches, which is one of their top sellers. First bite, you can tell immediately that this was made with a lot of love and care. It legit felt like a hug from my grandmother every bite. Every part of this sandwich, from the bread to the sauce, and even the meatballs, you can tell that no shortcuts were taken. It’s clearly an artisanal sandwich. By far one of the best meatball sandwiches I’ve had. Even talking with the owner you can tell that he’s proud of his product. His food speaks for itself. Can’t wait to try what else this place has to offer. Keep it up guys!”

The bento came with miso soup, fresh salad, delicious gyoza, tempura that was light and crispy, and a few California rolls that rounded out the meal beautifully. Great presentation and flavor. Sushi EN has definitely become my new go-to for Japanese lunch and dinner specials!”

“One word: wow! Turmerica brings authentic flavors and dishes that are often missed at other restaurants. The Misal Pav is a must try! It tastes just like the ones I have had in India, and I appreciate that they serve additional spicy chili oil to increase the spice per your level. The pav was very soft and the portion size was just right! I was also very impressed with the Solkadhi, which I had never had before. It was so delicious that I could probably drink several of those at once! The last thing I tried was the Khasta Kachori. My husband and I both really enjoyed it as a snack! They serve it with the chutneys and yogurt on the side you can add it according to your taste! I will definitely be back to try their other dishes like pau bhaji, wadapav, mango or chikoo milkshake, and the specialty desserts! Btw, they serve Jain food as well!”

“A Hidden Gem on Plum Grove and Higgins – A Must-Try!

We recently visited this charming restaurant located conveniently on Plum Grove Road and Higgins, with easy access from entrances on both sides of the building (formerly a McDonald’s). It was our first time dining here, and the experience was fantastic from the moment we stepped inside.

The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. When we mentioned it was our first visit, they went out of their way to explain the menu and highlight the house specialties. We started with chips and salsa, and what a treat! They served four varieties of salsa, each made fresh in-house. The flavors were unique and absolutely delicious—some of the best chips and salsa we've had in a while.

For our main dish, we opted for the fajita combo. The staff kindly asked how we preferred the steak, which we appreciated as it showed their attention to detail. When the sizzling fajitas arrived, they didn’t disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The chicken was equally amazing—juicy, well-seasoned, and just as satisfying.

The tortillas were kept warm in a tortilla warmer, which was a nice touch and exactly how I like them served. The sides of rice and beans complemented the meal perfectly. The rice was light and flavorful, and the creamy refried beans rounded out the plate.

The location is just three miles from our house, which makes it even more appealing for a quick and satisfying meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out—you won’t regret it!”
