“5⭐️- Definitely a mustIf you love shrimp, crawfish and other fresh seafood, this is the place to go to. There are around 10 or more stores that sell fresh shrimp of different sizes. We went there during crawfish season and some vendors were selling them by the pound and sacks. There is even a store at the end that sells other cajun food and cooked seafood.Make sure to bring a cooler or you can buy one there too if you want to take some home.“

“Love this place. Had their ground meat twice and it comes out better than Walmart’s and even smells really good while and after cooked. Made a spaghetti yesterday and tacos today. It started out with me getting their shrimp stuff they serve for breakfast and I loved it, they also sell my favorite drink-body armor. I love this place. At night their gas station is well lit. I love this place can’t wait to try some more meats. And the workers there are extremely nice and helpful. Love this place. Hope they are here to stay. “We were blown away on our first visit this morning!! Ryan is a talented mixologist in the bar creating beautiful, delicious and truly unique drinks. Our server Louis was incredibly charming and attentive, giving us excellent menu choices —as it was a hard decision. Every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. The whole experience was top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back!“

“My husband and I went on Friday night for dinner. Could not wait to try the new menu and it was simply awesome. To start with, our sever team was Isaac and Cheyanne and they were great. We never waited for anything. The Hot Crab Claws and Foie Gras Torte for appetizers were divine. I ordered the Duck Cassoulet and my husband had the visiting fish, Sea Bass over Yakamein. While the fish was excellent, the Duck ruled the table. Thanks to the Servers and Kitchen for a wonderful meal. We'll be back.“

“A New Orleans must! Great tasting, traditional Creole food. Food comes out HOT and the portions are big! A more simple menu that has just enough options and you can’t go wrong with any dish (although I recommend the red beans and rice, stewed or fried chicken and the praline bread pudding). Very impressed with how friendly the staff was. We will definitely be eating here again next time we are in town!“

“Service was good. Appetizer (Duck Spring Rolls) was very good. My girlfriend ordered the salmon salad, I had the blackened tuna. It took 45 minutes for them to arrive at the table! Tuna was very good, salad was very oily. $1.50 bloody Mary's were bland, guess that's what you get for a buck fifty. Except for the long wait and oily salad, it was good. Would give it a second try. Waiter did comp the appetizer for the extended wait, fyi.“

“My bestie and I visited Monday during Essence Fest Weekend and had the best server Centorrey. She was very attentive and honest from the time we sat down til the time we departed. Her customer service was A+++ Centorrey made coming to this restaurant a joy that I had to see her manager personally and verbally tell him what an amazing job she did. Thank you so much Centorrey and Hadji (Manager) for a great experience. The food and drinks were on point as well just removed those little airplane fans because that do nothing for that NOLA heat. I called Kelly and she got the ball rolling. We had good communication through the planning of my Meet and Greet Event for my family. When I walked into my rented space, I was amazed how beautiful the entire set up was. I had the colors I wanted, and all the foods I had requested. The foods were beyond delicious. My family enjoyed the foods, and can't stop talking about the experience that had in Harvey, Louisiana at the Food Symphony/Timeless Moments Event Hall. Thank you Kelly and Trena. Everything was pleasing.“

“This was the best meal we had our whole trip!!

Ambiance (4/5): Be sure to wait outside, behind the line on the ground, instead of walking through the door to be seated. We were told that there was no phones allowed (including taking picture/video taking)! My friend got scolded when she took pics of her food and I got yelled at when I took a video from the *outside* of the establishment. The tables are long and you may get seated with other guests. It’s dark and has a dive bar feel.
Service (4/5): They are bustling so service was a little slow. However, the waiter (from upstate new York) was a hoot and gave us the best recommendations for what to get (and not get!) Expect the staff to curse and talk without filters haha
Food (5/5): Everyone at the table was floored with their meals. I got the Coop’s Taste Plate which had a little bit of everything. The gumbo to start was packed with flavor. The fried chicken had a thin and crispy skin, moist on the inside (Get the 3 pieces if you get the main dish because some of the pieces were a little small.) creole, beans/rice, and jambalaya were all super flavorful. We couldn’t have been happier.
Friends loved the Chicken Tchoupitoulas which was juicy and to die for.“

We had tried a seafood restaurant the day before in the French quarter and left a bit disappointed thinking we wouldn't get the great dining experience we were hoping for while in New Orleans, but Restaurant des Familles more than provided.
