Lindsay Shannon was the best!!New ownership and patio renovations wanted to go back to check it out. 3 headed out for lunch on a Thursday. WOW. 2 of us had The Daily Special Texas Sweet (Pulled Pork, Scimecas Italian Sausage, Onion Straws piked high on huge bun. 1 SIDE. I had some green beans son had some of the huge famous beer battered potato wedges. Hot, fresh, tasty for $11.99. Both of us took decent amount home as well. “We had Back Porch BBQ catered for our wedding through Enchanted Acres in Harrisonville, MO and we couldn’t say enough how good the food was. All the sides were amazing and the meat was super tender and delicious. I was so glad that we were able to enjoy such a good meal at our wedding! The owner was also super responsive to any emails and questions I sent him. Can’t recommend enough!“

“Our hotel contact recommended Gates BBQ. We had a long wait to get in because it seemed like we got behind 30 state troopers! They were very nice and apologetic. We walked up to the counter to order two smoked turkey sandwiches. They were "doubles"so the sandwiches were very thick. The sauce was a perfect ten. Sweet tea was perfect. $42. Not much in the way of atmosphere-just real bbq.“

“Update 6 years later. 2025. Still great food/atmosphere/and service. Got the same plate. Ribs are so damn good. Sausage great. Brisket is good, but o prefer thicker slices. Shaved brisket you lose a lot the juicy fat I look for it a brisket. This great for a sandwich but on a plate I prefer thicker slices. But still great flavor. Great smoke ring. Glad Joe's is still going great!!
Not sure why they dont advertise as Joe's BBQ. But either my first experience was a good experience. Ribs, brisket. And sausage. Bbq beans. Everything was great I like their sauces the traditional has that perfect balance of sweet and spice. Their spicy sauce hits ya a couple minutes later. Love that. But once again a perfect balance, nothing to overpowering. I'll be back. The restraunt has a great atmosphere good music. I'll be back next time I am in town.“

“We arrived at LC’s at 820 pm while traveling through on 435 and these portions are huge I had the burnt end beef tips huge portion! My husband had the beef bbq sandwich again huge double decker sandwich. Our daughter had the turkey bbq sandwich. We also had fries coleslaw and fried mushrooms. Needless to say we had a second meal in leftovers. Very friendly staff even while they were busy remained positive and engaged with the customers. First time Kansas City BBQ we are happy we ended up at LC’s!“

“My husband and I had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was good as always. During our meal my husband had to use the rest room. He has some dementia and can’t walk very well. Unfortunately we were sitting at a table which was on the complete opposite side of the restaurant from the rest room. The server noticed our dilemma and said she would guide him over to the restroom. She was back immediately. I said, “Oh, he won’t be able to find his way back to this table.” The server told me not to worry about it. The restaurant manager had taken him over and would wait and bring him back. That is undoubtedly the kindest thing that has ever happened to us in a restaurant. Thank you to the wonderful people at the RoanRidge Texas Roadhouse.“
