Then once seated, the two of us ordered: three small plates, one large plate, and a dessert all to share. The timing was perfect. Each item came out separately, with an appropriate pause in between. We were not rushed or overwhelmed. Staff was very attentive without ever being anywhere close to overbearing.”

Everyone made them feel so special! From start to finish, the evening was exceptional. The food was so yummy and there were even options for those in our group, myself included, who were vegan/vegetarian. And it wasn't just a salad. Just ask the server! Ours was well versed in what the chef could prepare for us. The presentation of the food to our party of 13 was also super cool...they brought out all of the entrees at once! “This was my first visit to the Raleigh location on May 28, 2025 with two out of town guests. three diff dishes were ordered..brisket, St. Louis rubbed ribs and burnt ends. The brisket and burnt ends were amazing. The ribs however were dry and tough. The meat certainly did not fall off the bone. I would not recommend the ribs based on this experience.”

“The bread was dense and very fresh. We had Baked Ziti w/meat sauce, Creamy Pesto Fetuncini w/chicken, and Fried Fresh Mozzarella. All of it was delicious! Portion sizes were as expected. Pricing was as expected. $49 w/tax 2 people, 1 water, 1 coke..before tip.”

I had been in communication with a different restaurant (Cowfish) for over a month preparing because 30 people at a restaurant is NOT a small feat! They decided to give me a hard time the night of and were not really willing to accommodate us. We decided to find another restaurant. I immediately knew that NO ONE was going to be able to accommodate 30 people on a Saturday Evening but I was wrong! BONEFISH to the rescue! Before we even got across the street the tables were pushed together and prepped with menus water and silverware! Not only that even with a party of our size everything was executed perfectly! The food was delicious, we had a great time, the managers were friendly, and our server was the GREATEST (especially to be new to serving large parties.) I even loved my little art work on my to go box! We love intentionality! Shout out to Rasheive! All in all it was a 10/10 night, with 10/10 people in a 10/10 restaurant! Definitely coming back. ❤️”

“We celebrated my birthday at The Oak last night and had an amazing experience. Our server, John, was fantastic, and the Wright Flight cocktail is a must if you love gin. We loved the bone marrow starter, my husband’s ribeye was incredibly tender, and the confit duck tasted like fall on a plate. The Espresso Martini Affogato and peanut butter pie were perfect desserts. They even sent us home with mini banana breads! The Oak is officially my new favorite spot in Raleigh.”

Oh my goodness the squash was cooked just right I asked Nianna if she could insure that vegetables were cooked done but not mushy she insured the cook had done them just like I liked them they were on the money. “Sarge's sauce made my shrimp and grits easier and more flavorful than my usual recipe. I simply sauteed chopped onion, bell pepper and garlic, added Sarge's sauce and chicken broth, and then added the sauted shrimp. I plated it by putting it on top of my cooked grits and then topping it with a bit of chopped tomato. Yum!”

My waitress was pleasant… light skin, blond hair with pink in it, very pretty. My eggs were freaking amazing! I believe the cook was a thin light skin kinda of Hispanic looking man. The morning of 11/04. All the employees were good looking and well put together. The food came out the fast. I forgot to see how the bathroom looked. I also didn’t realize how much Waffle House raise their prices but unfortunately, I guess that’s to be expected. So sad smh. It used to be very cheap. My food was so yummy tho!! Only thing I didn’t like was there were a couple dirty tables when I walked in and one was a table I wanted to sit at. However, it was busy and crowded and people kept coming. I will be back!”

Here is what we order on our most recent visit: Karage Wings $12 Pork Belly Buns (2) $9 Kids Miso Ramen with Chicken and Eggs Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl $12 The food was delicious overall, and I particularly enjoyed the wings and the pork belly bun. A tip to keep in mind: it's best to finish the wings while you're at the restaurant. If you have any leftovers and take them home, they don't reheat well.”

“I recently moved to the area so I went in for a loaf of sourdough and a blueberry cake and croissant while I was at it. Quick and easy service even when busy.

The service was attentive, friendly. Two things make this really less than what I would expect at this price point: the ambience is meh. We were at a Bankhead booth facing a room where a party was happening, and we watched people go in and out the entire time. A man in the party kept eyeing us with a frown, and shutting the door. It was almost comic. Where else were we supposed to look? The other thing is one of balance...everything felt so swift. Our reservation was at 6:30, and we had wine, salad, entree and dessert, and were out the door by 7:25. For $240, having a more elegant environment with a bit of time to linger and savor would have been ideal. Still, the food and service were exceptional!”

“great everytime they miss something from my order when i order them once every two months friday nights from ubereats…this is their 5th and final chance for me this time it’s missing lamb from the LAMB bowl, i also order a chicken bowl for my boyfriend which was fine with its meat and proper ingredients mine was missing the exact thing in its name, why not communicate to my ubereats driver their was no more lamb why send them off with missing ingredients make them look like the bad guy, but because missing side pita, missing drinks, ordering whole pita, then only getting the side pita, missing dessert , now missing lamb from the lamb bowl , have all happened when ordering from this 403 Daniels Street location , when ordering around 7pm-8:30pm on friday nights, i know it’s not just the driver each time..as stated before I only eat them once every few months so the rare occasions having continuous missing items shows they think online/delivery orders shouldn’t receive same communication or proper orders because we won’t show up in person but i tell you this, you don’t get a raise by purposely being skimpy and skipping out on your customers you feel embolden to treat a way cause they won’t be standing in your face..do NOT order from them through delivery services just go in person if you still wanna give these kids your money, we all burnt out in this economy but it doesn’t mean you slight your customers, or you won’t have a job when that store closes from such repeated occurrences, and if you don’t care so much, please work somewhere else and stop playing with people food who actually worked hard in order to treat themselves to it as you would yourself. a shame won’t order again meal was blown for the whole night basically ate a veggie bowl, i could’ve made that at home.”

“My wife and I ate here a couple of weeks ago, just after the Michelin recognition. It was a week night and there was no walk-in available, so a reservation was a must.

We ordered Bunuelos, wings, Lechcito Tacos and the Rajas Enchiladas. The standout was clearly the tacos. The pork was well seasoned and lime worked perfectly with the fat. Their corn tortillas are the single best tortilla i have ever had, and if the other three items we ordered werent just OK they would justify a 5 star rating.

I would go back if someone else wanted to. However I doubt I will be the driving force behind a return trip.”
