“In NYC for a few days and visited OBAO - and couldn't recommend any higher. Our waiter, Beer was excellent - running us through the menu and giving us recommendations (two of which we took up).I highly recommend the short rib massamam which was recommended to me. A favourite of mine, OBAOs was hands down the best Massamam I've tried.Massive shout out again to Beer - for going above and beyond to making our visit memorable.“
“Food overall was delicious, I tried one of the cocktails was also well made and tasty. Was a little noisy but expected from a popular restaurant. Service was great and always ask if we are good with everything or if we needed anything. A must try when in time square.“
“This is probably the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in NYC (get the Pho or any Bánh Mi!). Authentic and super fresh ingredients, paired with an energetic atmosphere, almost made me feel like I was in Saigon! Extremely kind and generous staff to top it off as one of the most pleasant NY restaurant experiences.“
“So, I left the grumpy review below like 9 years ago. After living in New York for a bit, the prices don't shock me and I'm able to appreciate Saiguette for their convenience and nice flavors. They're now our go-to Banh Mi spot in the neighborhood. In the context of New York and the neighborhood, they're a great option.“
“Excellent quality service, friendly welcome, smiling waiter, fast service, excellent meals, Bo Luc Lac but especially the Pho which is top.Be careful, small restaurant but very cozy with a friendly atmosphere where you feel very comfortable, me and my husband highly recommend it.Ps: Affordable price“
“Service and ambiance were definitely not authentic but the flavors were there. Chicken pho and com thit nuong both were surprisingly good and filling. However, waitress didn't even pronounce pho correctly... smh... Not much seating room but it gets the job done if you're ever feeling a crave for basic viet flavors“
“Fantastic small Vietnamese restaurant, with great food, even better service and ok seating. For a small location, they made good use of their limited space and they communicate regularly if the food will be delayed. My only small complaint would be probably due to the kitchen being so close and the ventilation not being great, our clothes had the food smell afterwards but I won't take a star off since it wasn't too bad. I know their prices will go up eventually but their current price for their food quality is hard to beat.“
“This is without a doubt the best banh mi in town. The bread is utter perfection, the ingredients always fresh, and just the right level of spice. The staff are very friendly and the owner is actively involved. I had a problem with my order, which he personally resolved. I was very impressed why his commitment to customer satisfaction. I will be a customer for life. Keep up the great work!“
“As with all Asian spots, always try to time your visit when it's not busy. Interior is simple and really samples the street elements of Saigon - sheet metal, wooded sloted window panes, cafe du mond all over. Menu design has a dope ode to their Vietnamese history - important because identity plays into how authentic the food will turn out.Ordered the BBH. Clean & absolutely flavorful broth. Service was really prompt. Soup came out in less than 10m, just like how they used to speed serve at the the old Miss Saigon in dtjc. That's top tier quality & service for me. 10s across the board. I've found my new soup spot since New Thanh Hoai had to shut down“
“Cha Pa's Noodles and Grill is a must-visit for Pho lovers! Their soup is simply amazing, with rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles. The broth is flavorful and comforting, making it the perfect choice for a cold day or any day you're craving something warm and delicious. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality you receive. If you're in the mood for Pho, Cha Pa's Noodles and Grill is the place to go!“
“I had a lovely and memorable dining experience. I ordered the Spring rolls (which were delightful by the way): fried goodness served with lettuce wraps and julienne veggies. Super fresh and No guilt! My server, Alex, was what made the night! Although the spring rolls are served with fish sauce (delish!) Alex told me about the restaurant’s homemade soy sauce and offered to bring me a sample. What an amazing flavor profile: I happily alternated each bite between the two sauces. Sweet than savory—repeat. Also fun is the speakeasy style restroom and the sign above the toilet gave me a chuckle: “seat yourself.” Thanks for making my Friday night, Alex and 5Spice!“
“Everything was fantastic, both the food and the service. We ordered banh mi, chicken rice noodles, and mango sticky rice. It was so delicious that we were left wanting to order more things from the menu. I would go back if I could. Greetings from Spain!“
“I usually come here for their boba and today I was craving a Vietnamese sandwich so I got the bbq pork sandwich and let me say I am surprise at how good it is! I was a little spectacle about ordering a sandwich in a boba shop but I must say the bbq pork sandwich was delicious. It was so flavorful and with a good amount of spice ! They service is quick and the staff are super helpful and friendly. There is a small heated outdoors dining area for you to sit also! I will be back to try the signature bbq pork sandwich next time!“
“Writing this for their takeout, I ordered from Uber Eats and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything came packaged and how the sashimi platter was so thoughtfully plated with edible flowers, shiso leaves, and the other garnishes that normally come with sashimi platters. I’ve done sushi takeout from other restaurants and Phoshimi stands out with the quality of their fish and overall presentation. I also got the pho ga which was delicious and hit the spot for soup on a cold day! Love the concept of a pho plus sushi restaurant - cuz sometimes you just want both!“
“I only got their bahn mi sandwiches for years since it was very good. I tried their curry noodles which were ok, went back to the bahn mi. I then tried the spicy lemongrass soup and chicken pad thai which were both terrific. Very generous portions. Look forward to trying their other dishes. The staff is welcoming and courteous, and they give you a nice cup of hot tea. There’s plenty of additional seating outdoors on a nice day. I agree with another reviewer’s comment that there is a lot of extra packaging/containers for takeout, especially for the toppings and sauces. Maybe best to eat at the restaurant, and to take the rest home, much less packaging.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian soup broth upon request“
“The district pho (with bone broth) was super flavorful and left me thinking about it for a week. So, a week later I ordered from here again only to try the standard pho. It was great and the brisket was heavenly, but I can tell the difference bone broth makes. The Thai tea was also very good! I will be ordering again!“
“Vietnamese food is one of my favorite cuisines so I've had a lot of Viet food in my life. I've also been to Vietnam three times. So believe me when I say Saigon Bistro has really good Viet food! The grilled pork was delicious and juicy. Spring rolls were crispy and perfectly cooked. Summer rolls were also good. We also got the sweet corn pudding which we liked too. Oh service is great as well. We'll be back many times.“
“So, we were experiencing a heavy starvation period until we pulled out our phone and found JOJU LOL. The self checkout is extremely simple and enjoyable because there were photos that accompanied the food item. The food in which we nourished ourselves was nothing short of very good. The bahn mi sandwiches were filling and tasty+ they played a song from the box office hit barbie, furthermore, a song from Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, TAYLOR SWIFT LOL.thank you for existing. you saved us from hungerpeace be with you“
“Wow, a foodie gem in the heart of mid-America. We had a simple but classy evening. Great host, attentive wait person, excellent food served hot and tasty. It is a joy to experience the variety and inovation that the inclusiveness of America offers. That you Jesus for the mix of culture and food that makes America great!“
“I had rice noodles and garlic shrimp for a late lunch. The rice noodles weren't bad, but the meat served as a topping was a bit thick and tough. The noodles also felt a bit undercooked. However, the soup itself was clean and delicious. Service was good.“
“Delicious !!! Holidaying in Chelsea and scrolled through a few restaurants nearby and came across Bòcàphê - food was absolutely amazing!!! Had the ginger chicken bun bowl and the taro fries (these are an absolute must!!!)Wish I lived in New York so I could visit here again!!!“
“Came solo around 8pm on a Wednesday as I was craving some good ole pho. It was well lit and a bit busy but was able to grab a table since they were closing in an hour.I ordered beef pho, no cilantro but I still tasted someone must’ve dropped a flake or two before remembering the no cilantro part. They give you a MASSIVE amount of beef. I had to have eaten about 4 pieces and could tell there was at least 6 left. I’m more of a soup and noodles person. Would’ve loved to have more noodles but I’ll order that way next time. I recommend as I will be back again. The food is good! The only issue I had was the atmosphere. They were painting, hammering pictures to the walls and setting up additional tables while we were there eating. Could’ve totally waited until the customers were gone for this.“
“Food: authentic Vietnamese food that I love. Easy and quick to order at the counter, service is smooth. Ambience is cozy and clean. I went there for lunch with my friend but most of customer during lunch hour came by themself, must be good for one as well.“
“You can name all the viet food places in Midtown East, meaning there aren't that many. This is an in and out spot, that gets a good chunk of business during lunch hours, and a small dinner rush (by personal experience). The menu is rather extensive for a small establishment. They serve a solid banh mih, and an awesome pork dumpling soup! Plays the best country music, as well!“
“Decor is modern, clean, bright, and inviting. Food is absolutely delicious! Definitely try the pad thai dumplings because they are so yummy and very different from anything on anyone else's menu. So many vegetarian options which is AMAZING! Loved the crispy tofu bao as well, comes w/ a rich coconut sauce that takes it to the next level. The tofu sandwich was also yummers, and I loved the crunch factor of the inclusion of a nice crisp green bean in it. Staff and owners are super friendly, and all around great people who are passionate about food. YUM!“
“I love their sandwiches, fried rices, and laksa! I always get the pork belly sandwich or the chicken thigh sandwich with a fried rice. The bread is fresh and crispy on the outside. The seasoning is always spot on! Everything is so tasty here. Too bad the dine in option is still not available.Vegetarian options: Curry fried rice with vegetables.“
“This place is very good! The prices were super reasonable and the pho was as good as any other place I have been to in Bergen County. The young woman that waited on us was very nice and our food came out in a couple of minutes. This is my new favorite spot for pho.“
“Dined in for lunch, nice vegetarian options and I liked my tofu banh mi and my friend's order of drunken noodles. The fried tofu puffs (appetizer) were crispy & hot. The hostess was super friendly as well. Will definitely come back if I'm in the “
“Parking: This is a small restaurant on a main street. Most of their business is take out, but there are a few tables nicely set up front in the window. The people there are helpful and friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: The facility may be hard to access with a wheel chair because it is rather narrow.“
“The pho in this place is absolute perfection. I usually get the pho with flank. I can't say enough good things about it. This soup is delicious. The broth they use is flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The portion is more than enough. You will be full. I've eaten in and also taken out. The service is really fast either way. The place itself is nothing fancy. They have some tables in the front and the back. But forget the service...the draw here is the pho and you will not be disappointed. There is another pho place on lex in the 50's that doesn't compare whatsoever to this place. Restaurants come and go. I just hope this place keeps its doors open because I will continue coming.“
“Cyclo Vietnamese food in Long Island City, New York, offers a delightful culinary experience. Their beef stew egg noodles are rich and flavorful, providing a comforting and satisfying meal. The bo luc lac, a Vietnamese shaking beef dish, is likely tender and well-seasoned, showcasing the skillful preparation of the restaurant. Additionally, their banh mi sandwiches are probably a delightful combination of crispy bread, savory fillings, and fresh vegetables, creating a tasty and portable option. Overall, Cyclo Vietnamese food in Long Island City seems to excel in delivering delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine.“
“Perfect place for that craving for Pho! All their dishes are made with attention to detail with fresh ingredients. I have had their Pad Thai, the lemongrass soup, bao buns and I have nothing to complain about all of them. Been here several times and every time the service has been exceptional with their wonderful staff. The restaurant is near center of town so there is ample parking in the area.“
“PLEASANTLY SURPRISED i think the pho is better than that of banh nearby the servers aren't the most attentive (they kind of leave you alone) but it's nice if that's what you're looking for, peace to eat!! the wooden chairs and plants are very earthy and i liked the space which was open and large and not very crowded“
“Went here for a regular lunch and to my surprise they did not have any lunch specials, so the price was slightly high i'd say which is the reason for the 4stars. Service was quick and food came out quick so no complaints there. I ordered some rice and fried catfish, I thought the portion was just enough and was satisfied with the taste of the fish. Broccoli , pickles, and tomato slices they served on the side wasn't my favorite but gave the plate volume. Overall an ok quick lunch“
“Lovely shop - hard to find without the address. Tofu Banh Mi was delicious - bread fresh and warm and perfect balance of pickled veg, etc. Excellent vermicelli bowl with chicken - so good! Kimchi side delicious and not over-salted. Fresh spring roll was perfect- and it is loosely wrapped which I prefer.“
“Worth traveling all the way to the Upper West Side! We arrived on Thursday evening at about 7:20PM. Drink menu was amazing for a romantic date night. We ordered two Malbec and it was great to find a Vietnamese restaurant that offered wine and had a good taste in cocktail as well. We ordered two appetizers and two entrée for two people. It was a lot of food, so we had to bring the most of it home. Goi cuon (Shrimp Summer Roll( (5/5): delicious. I love their peanut sauce, definitely a must try! Cha Gio (Vietnamese Spring Roll) (5/5): Delicious, super crispy and the meat was bursting with flavor. Pho Bo (Beef noodle soup) (5/5)- One of the nicest phos I've tried in New York. They provide so many noodles, unlike most eateries that charge extra for noodles. The meat was clearly more premium than at other locations, and it melted in your mouth. For dessert, we got the tiramisu, which was executed to perfection. Overall, the food was a 5 out of 5. Service was good too- servers were very attentive and quick. I so wish I lived closer because I would be coming weekly if I could for the tiramisu and Pho. Highly recommend!“
“Popped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised.Food was amazing service was good. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant I am.sure it is a hit with the locals. We had a few appetisers dim sum, summer rolls, spring rolls, salt n pepper squid and pork buns.We will be back“
“I recommend Just Pho You on the Upper West Side in 101st Street and Broadway. My fiancée and I had the lemon grass wings and the vegetarian spring rolls as an appetizer. For the entree we had beef short rib pho. The food is AMAZING. You will not be disappointed. Also the owner her name is Wan she was very welcoming and hospitable. The experience was awesome. I will definitely come again.“
“I stopped by for lunch on a weekday and there were a lot of customers who seemed to be office workers nearby.I had Flank and Brisket and it tasted just like the Vietnamese rice noodles I usually eat. I only ate cilantro because I couldn't eat it (no cilantro, no cilantro).“
“Tried the banh mi and it was excellent. Great place for a quick stop if your looking for lunch/sandwich or other Thai cuisines. Was just passing through on my way to Penn so I had to grab something quick, but it was excellent. Saw some patrons with really interesting and quality looking dishes while I was waiting. Definitely seemed authentic. Looking forward to going back to try some of the other items on the menu.“
“Had a strong craving for some Pho on a smoldering Tuesday afternoon and needed it asap. Thankfully there was Jad Jaan's near enough to me and available to deliver. They're in Washington Heights so if you're in any of the surrounding neighborhoods put them on your radar. I was able to get the basic Pho Slide ('Slice' typo I think) Rare Eye Round delivered piping hot. Broth and meat were kept separate from the noodles so nothing is soggy and the meat is ready by the time it arrives. They give you plenty of garnish and sauce so you aren't missing anything by not going in...except probably air conditioning. Would also recommend the Chicken & Shrimp Dumplings!“
“Had the meatball pho and chicken banh mi. The broth was delicious, hit the spot, the meatball were homemade not processed. Banh mi baguette was crispy outside and not too starchy inside, perfect. however Seamless delivery was not great, the soup spilled and the delivery person did not pay attention. But will definitely order again, maybe to dine in or pick up.“
“Pho 32 closes at 9:30 PM, and we arrived just after 9 PM. Despite the nearing closing time, the owner, Kwon, graciously allowed us to dine. Throughout our meal, he never rushed us or did anything similar, patiently waiting as we finished. This was exceptionally considerate, as some restaurants often refuse patrons so close to closing and tend to rush them during their meal. The soup here was also delicious. Given the chance, we would definitely visit again. 감사합니다 Kwon :)“
“I'd say I came at a pretty quiet time since it was about 11:30am, but it's a very cute little spot! The food was awesome and I definitely plan to come back. I had a beef bank mi with medium spice, cilantro, no jalapeño. I liked being able to pick the level of heat, medium was perfect for me, but I know people who would go high heat for sure. Staff was very nice too.“
“Can't believe I've been waiting on this gem for sooooo long. Had it the other day and it was incredible, very authentic, fast and great prices.Cant wait to go and try more. Had the spring rolls and Pho with everything, it was so fresh and flavorful “
