“Excellent soups and delicious authentic Korean dishes. Friendly staff, but give them a chance to understand what you are asking for. English isn’t 100% but extremely kind. This place has been around since my teen days. I believe almost 20 plus year or so. If your open that long? You doing something right. Plus Korean celebrities come here to eat on the low key. Privacy is everything to them. Ive never seen them myself but I’ve seen americas popular news broadcaster. He retire now but eats here regularly“

“It’s 10pm and the customer traffic is still at peak. During my meal they had to tell two sets of new customers that there are no more tables. My chicken thali is delicious. It comes with a variety of items and flavors. They kept checking if I actually need anything more and offered to add rice. Very caring and attentive. One customer there was chilling for a long time after done and they just let him relax in peace while the restaurant traffic is busy. Such patience and respect for customers. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

“I grew up in Elmhurst and getting skewers at this neighborhood staple as a snack was always a treat I looked forward to. Now, I’m happy that we can buy as many skewers as we dare (before we pass the threshold of waking up with a sore throat the next morning).This Chinese BBQ skewer cart is a no-frills, mom and pop food stand on the corner of Whitney Ave & Broadway by the LIRR tracks. Most of their skewers cost between $2-$3; they’re perfect for a late night eats adventure! The seasoning the sweet Chinese couple uses has just the right amount of cumin, heat, and spice. We sat at one of their 3 tables this past Monday evening and saw a steady stream of customers lining up for their grilled skewers. When all 3 tables were full, a 4th table and set of stools was set up as well. The cart is at their spot daily between 5:30pm-1:30am - you’ll find them if you see the smoke!? “The pork soup dumps was a SOLID NINE OUT OF TEN. Was not expecting to walk in here but they had a solid deal of $6.95 for the pork soup dumps specifically. You get 6 in one order. I know what you’re thinking, they look alittle sweaty but they’re good! Temp was perfect where it wasn’t burning your mouth. The skin of the dumpling was nice and thin. Soup was rich, can’t complain. Match this was a coke and it’s the perfect recipe. I got 2 orders. Only down side is that I wish they spaced them out alittle more. They got stuck together . Did loose like 3 dumps that fell apart. Just a rinky dinky place. Unsure if I’ll go back for anything more than the dumps but it was a vibe. They need to get new menus. I saw ALOT of orders fly out there. They must be doing something right“

“I’ve been to Star Sushi several times now, and every single visit has been great. The owner, Anthony, and his staff are always super friendly and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers — it’s the kind of place where they remember you and your favorites.

The fish is always fresh and the rolls are consistently delicious! My go to is the Star Tower. The amount of fish is very generous and it blends perfectly well with the rice, avocados, roe and sauces. It’s honestly one of the best sushi spots around, both for the food and the people!“

The coat/hostess girls are unintelligible phantoms who mumble w scowls. However once we leave there pointless presence we are to the real start : the Sit-down and Dine.
The food was all great and we went in blind. We also had some great drinks overall throughout and a great waiter as well. Our only regret is not really trying any of the steamed fish, but we will likely be back. Note to Owners-86 those hottendous front coat staff“

Very pleased with my seafood boil. This was my first boil I’ve ever had and I’m very pleased. 10/10 will come again. I paid $10 for a $30 dollar value seafood boil.“
