“Despite the cool atmosphere, good vibe, and enjoyable drinks, our experience was hindered by inattentive service. We waited at the bar for quite some time, trying to catch the eye of two different waiters, but were largely ignored. It was disappointing, especially given that they were pretty much right in front of us, backs turned, walking by and seemed to be doing everything possible to actually serve customers.
The shrimp were not very good given the price. The tuna tartar was excellent.“

“Eddie V’s Paramus is a gem! The Ahi Tuna Tartare was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the Filet Medallions Oscar Style with crab fried rice were absolute perfection. Service was phenomenal — Amy was amazing, and every staff member made us feel like VIPs. I skipped dessert, but they insisted I try one on the house — a classy touch that sealed the night. Elegant atmosphere, incredible food, and hospitality that goes above and beyond!“

“We lived in nyc for 30 years. Recently moved to DE. God only knows how much we miss the nyc culture. Nothing holds a candle to it. Thank you Aaron for such a delightful lunch today at your restaurant. Best Manhattan I’ve had in a long long time! You were so attentive and accommodating. Service the best! “Just went here with my mom and it was great. We got the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was sooooo good and fresh 🤤🤤. For entrees she got their clam pasta and loved it, and I got their special scallops which were super tasty!! It was a little noisy but personally I didn’t really care. Overall great service and the food was delicious!!! (They also gave us some free pound cake at the end which was nice)“

“We ordered the corn fritters and lunch entres. We got appetizers from ordering the lunch menu, and got vegetable soup and spring rolls. Everything was very yummy, the corn fritters are crispy and delicious. The pad thai, pad see ew was good. Thank you!! Will come back again“

“Ilis was highly recommended to us by a friend who is a chef, after we asked about suggestions on restaurants in New York that truly push boundaries. It did not disappoint. While we are quite familiar with the concept of radical local sourcing and seasonal cooking organised by colder and warmer days, (yes, days not months), Ilis still managed to surprise us. We opted for the market menu, which is tailored to the ingredients available on that very day, and were treated to an additional dish. Each course was impeccably well prepared and presented effortlessly, and fun! The natural taste of the ingredients was allowed to shine, offering the rare opportunity to unspoil your palate and rediscover how herbs, vegetables, and meat/fish taste on their own, when not suffocated in fat, sugar, and spices. This, we believe, is the key to the success of Ilis and its chef Mads Refslund: being able to keep the dishes almost naked while never loosing the culinary direction. An absolute standout was the extra dish: raw tuna scraped from the dorsal fin spine, followed by the other side grilled with sesame. It was nothing short of a feast! Another memorable feature is Ilis' book of ingredients, which you can browse through between courses. It offers insight into their sourcing, philosophy, food preferences, and quirks (giggle). Lastly, the open kitchen is from another orbit, with its wood-fired charcoal oven, open barbecues, and dedicated adjacent fish and meat smoking stations. We could rave on and on about it. Very special place, which easily deserves six stars.“

“Memorable meal! Went with a larger group so ordered almost everything on the menu. Every dish was really good, a few were truly incredible (the chicken was up there with the best I've ever had). Good vibes & service. Spacious. With drinks expect $200 person, but we were all stuffed. Highly recommend!“

“We had a nice experience here. My steak was very good, I really did enjoy it. My husband things his dish dish was also pleasant. At first our waiter was a bit stiff and stand offish but he opened up and was professional. The location is beautiful and so is the space. I wouldn’t make a special trip to go back here specifically but if I’m in the mall again, I wouldn’t be opposed to it. It’s quality service and food, expensive but it’s NYC.“

I honestly love this place it’s become a go-to for me and my girlfriend. We came by on a Friday around 5 p.m. and tried all the specials for the day, plus some oysters. Everything was incredible. The seafood here always tastes super fresh and flavorful you can tell they really care about the quality and taste of their dishes.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the service is always on point, and the area itself is great to walk around before or after your meal. This spot never disappoints. Highly recommend!“

“Too bad there aren’t more stars to click on. As a Sicilian/Italian every time I go to an Italian restaurant I have to always settle for the close enough. Not this time at Piccola Cucina Estiatorio, 71 Thompson Street NYC. After seeing their extremely authentic Sicilian menu online I knew that it had to be the real thing. After easily reserving a table online we showed up with yes our hopes being very high. For the first time the food was everything I had hoped for. 1. Arancini: nicely crunchy and flavored. Not oily or old at all. 2. Grilled veggies: although simply presented they were really tasty and fresh. 3. Involtini: out of this world. Exactly made like in my town in Sicily. A Moist, tender, flavored with some really tasty mozzarella cheese, served on a nice bed of caponata. 4. Maccheroni alla Norma: finally my very favorite dish. I almost cried. Besides a fantastic pasta, rigorously cooked al dente, there was a more than generous amount of diced eggplant, obviously, with basil leaves, olive oil and everything the Mediterranean has so generously given to Sicily for thousands of years. It’s worth mentioning the more than welcome grated “ricotta salata” as a testimony to the high attention to detail of Chef Gioele. That was a dinner I will not easily forget. The last thing I want to say is that, according to the highly professional and attentive staff, almost every single ingredient in this restaurant is flown directly from Sicily including the very tasty cannoli filled with ricotta cheese. (The cheese flies frozen during shipping). Sorry for the long review. I only wanted to show my super happiness with this restaurant. ANGELO.“

“Docks is an institution! I am so glad it is still around and going strong. 40 years ago I used to hang out there after work to unwind and socialize with my colleagues. We were young and loved the energy the place exuded. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a new colleague for happy hour and it did not disappoint. The bar is exactly how I remembered it and the happy hour prices plus the quality of the food made me well---happy! I shall return but much sooner next time :-)“

“Brought my wife here for her birthday. Empire Steak was on my list of "must go" places while visiting NYC. The place has fantastic online reviews and our experience surpassed even the best online review. All their steak is dry-aged 28 days. For consumers of dry-age, you know its not all the same. This was, without a doubt the best 28 day dry age ribeye i have ever had. I could smell the dry age when it came to the table, and i knew it would be good. I eat steak 5-7 nights a week and half the time its dry aged. I don't purchase from grocery stores, i only order the best i can find online from the most reputable purveyors.....so I feel quite qualified to make that assessment. Next, the crust on the steak was absolutely perfect as was the entire cook on the steak. One of the best steaks i ever had. Our server, ARDIE, was just awesome. He was attentive, informative and really a pleasure just to talk to. I felt like i had a new best friend by the end of dinner......thats just how engaging he is. I cant imagine a better server anywhere and he is a proud employee of Empire.....just what you want as a customer. He suggested the french onion soup and it was the best i ever had. My wife had branzino and it was gorgeous. The manager AL, came by multiple times and was so friendly and didn't rush us at all even though it was late. Look, Empire Steak is a 10 on a scale 1-5. I highly recommend the place and i will be back as soon as i can. Ask for Ardie, he is the best. Dont miss it, you will not be disappointed. Note: we went to the 237 W 54th street location. Be warned that the Times Square location apparently does not have a full bar, only beer and wine.“

“Took my visiting sister there on a Tuesday evening. She was taken aback by the level of service that made us feel like VIPs! After getting a great window seat, my Sis jokingly said, "How romantic, too bad I'm here with my brother". Our gorgeous server Michelle was spectacular. She made multiple trips to the bar to find 'just the right wine' for my sister's particular taste and made two special requests to the kitchen on our behalf. Michelle's calming presence and 'in the moment' attitude made us feel very special. Being an intellectual herself, Michelle engaged with us most excellently in conversation. I've had a few nice meals before at the Chart House, but this by far was the best experience ever thanks to Michelle.“
