“This place was amazing. The food tasted super fresh. The only way the food could have been this fresh was either because they made everything with their bare hands, or it was shipped in a futuristic, ultra-mega, jumbo, packing proof, fire proof, heat absorbent cargo box. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone I know.“

“I’ve been ordering from here for years and it’s consistently great. I have my signature dishes I usually order (peanut butter wontons, Singapore mei fun, dragon, steamed dumplings, and beef chow fun) but everything I’ve had is always good. Highly recommend, one, if not the best, Chinese food in the area.“

“Finally! A great and legitimate Chinese food restaurant! Moved to Garfield 2 years ago and this is the Chinese food we've been looking for. Delicious and hot upon arrival. They read and respected allergy requirements because we couldn't have carrots in the fried rice or lo mein. Food arrived earlier than on time and they have their own drivers that deliver, even if it's through a delivery app. Please patronize this restaurant!! It's what you want when you think about Chinese food in New Jersey.“
“I'm from New York City and in the '80s we used to get the best barbecue spare rib tips in Brooklyn from the local Chinese restaurants They make them how I remember them in the '80s. So that's nostalgic for me. Other than that the only thing I usually get is the hot and spicy shrimp. My husband and I love that. Their egg foo young is good too. And they're wanton soup is delicious. I'm old school. I usually stick to the same basic things that I like. Oh and they're fried rice is good too. I usually get fried rice with beef shrimp and pork in it and sometimes chicken. Love that with hot mustard and duck sauce. They also offer delivery which is great. You don't have to go through Uber or DoorDash. You don't wait too long and our delivery guy is always pleasant. Be kind and dont forget to tip. I always tip $5. The fact that they actually deliver is really worth it.“

“Don’t bother reading into the negative reviews for this place. It’s a 5 star take out Chinese place. It’s NOT dine-in! The food is outstanding and they ALWAYS get the order right because the lady reads back your order twice (and still has it right the first time). It has the atmosphere of a GREAT take out restaurant. Great for local delivery also“

“A bougier twist on a lot of traditional Chinese dishes. The highlight of the meal was the braised pork belly, so melt in your mouth tender. Also don't miss the cucumber salad appetizer, I thought the flavors were unique and refreshing.“

“The noodles are amazing, and every dish is customizable. I love the scallion ginger, but I've had other flavors too. I ALWAYS get the seitan, it is so good! I think they make the seitan in house, there's something unique about the texture.“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home, and the atmosphere is cozy but modern. Everything from the dumplings to the noodles was spot-on. Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat! 🥢🍜✨“

“good price for food. $12 for a beef noodle soup was not bad. the noodle was soft and thin, which im okay with. the soup was not so special but go well together overall. beef, veggie, soup,.. were all decent. the only thing that kinda surprised me was the food in plastic bowl. hopefully they’ll change it cause you dont want hot food go with plastic container.“

“Thank you very much for allowing me to use your restroom it was an emergency it's hard for someone like me to be in a city where bathrooms are rare to find since I have a stomach disorder. The atmosphere is beautiful and when I'm done with my class trip I'm definitely ordering from here to try your food.“
“Fantastic gem in LIC. Great authentic flavors and extensive menu. Fun cocktails too!! Highly recommend the black jack beef, Mongolian lamb, Changsha chicken and dragon eye for dessert. Amazing. Liam was our server and was very attentive, personable and gave great recommendations. Check it out!“

“Forgot to take mouth-watering pictures before we devoured all dumplings. We came in before 7pm where it was empty inside but the kitchen was bustling. As we waited and ate our food, lots of people came strolling in to pick up and dine-in. It’s a small place but with big flavor. While there is a variety of food, we craved dumplings and this place delivered. We tried the steam and fried pork and chive dumplings and soup dumplings. Fried dumplings made this way is exactly how we remember it in one of our favorite places in Houston. They also sell wholesale frozen dumplings ($15/50 pieces). Can’t wait to make them at home.
Johnson (hope I remembered your name correctly!) took our order and served us. It seems like he’s the boss/owner as he made sure all dishes were to perfection. If it wasn’t good, he didn’t serve it. He also recognizes the locals who come in often and acknowledges them by name. It’s nice to have that in the area. Thank you!“

“I came to this restaurant last month to order takeout, and the young man at the front desk was very enthusiastic in introducing the menu. When he found out it was my partner’s birthday, he added a free dessert to my order and wished him a happy birthday. It was truly sweet!!!“

“Some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced in New York. I checked in for my reservation and the waitress Dani noticed that I had lost my voice. She offered complimentary tea and ginger as soon as I sat down, so thoughtful and personal. The food and ambiance was also great, but the service is what sets this place apart.“

“Had a great experience at PF Chang’s! The food was delicious, but the standout was Stephanie’s exceptional service. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back—thank you, Stephanie!“
“This place is excellent! I love the vibe. I felt so relaxed. The food is very good and the service is even better. My server Eric was very attentive to my needs and served me with a smile. He’s great! I’d highly recommend. I also love their ordering system. You order on a tablet and send the order to the kitchen with the click of a button.“

“As an ABC who’s living away from home, I just crave good spicy Chinese food and let me tell you that I have dreams of their hot and sour glass noodles paired with the beef green pepper soup sometimes. Especially in this nasty cold weather, sometimes you just need a nice hot and spicy pick me up. Peppercorn station has been one of my favorite go-to spots for Szechuan food since I moved to the city for work. Literally it’s smack down in the middle of the city and is extremely close to work so it’s a no brainer. Hard to find good authentic Szechuan Chinese food in Hell’s Kitchen or Midtown but peppercorn makes it so easy. Please do yourself a favor and get the crab meat tofu, beef green pepper, garlic pea shoots, and HOT AND SOUR GLASS NOODLES. Also for a Chinese restaurant, the service and speed is extremely on point and never have had a bad experience. Will keep supporting good local businesses like this and yall should too.“

“I made this reservation after reading the reviews regarding the food quality and the proximity to Broadway. We were running late for our reservation and I was completely flustered because I didn't want to be late for our 8:00 show. We were seated and our orders were taken and were served the most delicious Samosa appetizers, entrees and drinks (Django mango margaritas). We shared our Kedhai chicken, Butter chicken, Hakka noodles and Goan fish curry and were happily satisfied with plenty of time to get to our show in time. The Maitre ‘D and servers were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is also quite relaxing and welcoming.“

“I was walking home from work with my partner and we weren’t even that hungry, but we haven’t had good packing duck in the city and once we saw this place busy cute with an amazing name we knew we had to go in
The service was great. They couldn’t see right away, but it was a short 10 minute wait the staff is very attentive very on top of it.
We weren’t hungry, so we just ordered only the Peking Duk however everything looked so good. I want to order so much more but trying to eat later these days.
We also ordered a side of duck soup, which was only two dollars
Everything hit all the right spots the soup and the pecking duck were absolutely perfect. I loved everything so much that will go back and I wanna go back and try other things and maybe even order more duck. I can’t express how happy I am but it’s on my overall happiness listso five stars all the way go try this place out.“

“Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. Bodai in Midtown Manhattan offers a rare and memorable dining experience. The restaurant blends Buddhist philosophy with royal vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Qing Palace. It was my first time trying a full vegetarian tasting menu, and I was impressed by how flavorful and creative every dish was. The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. The dessert, called “Nectar of the Core,” was light and refreshing. Dining at Bodai feels like a calm, thoughtful journey through color, texture, and flavor. If you’re looking for an elevated vegetarian meal in NYC, this is worth a visit.“

“Authentic Sichuan food in NYC! Yi Pin Chengdu Best Sichuan really delivers the true flavors of Chengdu – spicy, numbing, and full of depth. The water-boiled fish and sliced beef & tripe are outstanding. Portions are generous, prices fair, and the service is friendly. A must-try spot if you love real Sichuan cuisine!“

“Very underrated. This place was awesome and the food was great! The soup dumplings are delicious and their chicken dishes were more chicken than breading and you dont see that too often which is amazing. Great quality! I would eat there again for sure.
Not a big restaurant though so if you go when its busy there may be a long wait. But Its definitely worth the wait!“

“I liked the vibe of this place. I got in and ordered on the screen. I got the spicy stir fry cumin lamb hand ripped noodles for around $15-16.You have the options of adjustung the spice level and choosing less oil, less vegetable etc so thats nice. When my food was ready, I was called to come collect it.
The food was nice. It felt like non Chinese american food in the sense that it was not sweet at all and had a more mature taste (almost bitter in a way because of the spice and cumin). I enjoyed it. Its nit obvious in the picture but the dish itself has a lot of oil so its good they give you the less oil option.“

“I’m impressed by the taste and quality of the food—it’s pretty authentic! The only downside is the music: they’re playing rap Loud in the kitchen and pop in the dining area at the same time. It’s distracting, and I honestly don’t know how the staff can stand it.“

“For around $26, we got a large bowl of sauerkraut fish and two bowls of rice, which were brought to us by a little robot. The bowl was large enough for two people, so the price was very good for the portion. They also have a whole menu for bubble tea, so you can enjoy some with your meal. I got one in case the food was too spicy, but it wasn’t really spicy even at the highest level, especially compared to other similar restaurants in the city. Overall we had a cheap and enjoyable meal that I would be down to return to for casual eats.“

“One of the coziest and most welcoming Chinese restaurants I’ve been to in New York City! The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, with natural tones and ambient lighting that make it perfect for a dinner date or reunion with friends and family.
The menu offers a wide range of comforting dishes. We especially loved the shrimp with walnuts (so creamy and satisfying), the chili fish, and the soup dumplings. The cabbage hot pot came in a vessel with an open flame underneath to keep it warm throughout the meal, which was such a lovely touch. The lamb dish was served with fire as well, adding some visual excitement to the table. They also brought out hot tea kept warm over a small candle, which added to the cozy fall vibe.
It happened to be Mid-Autumn Festival when we visited, and they even gave us complimentary mooncakes, such a thoughtful surprise! We also had the Peking duck, spring rolls, and more, and everything was served fresh and full of flavor.
This place has a natural charm and offers a truly comforting dining experience. I’ll definitely be back again soon!“

“This was literally so good and affordable! So many yummy vegetarian protein options, my favorite being tofu skin of course. Spice level 3 is very spicy, I don’t even know how people go up to 4 or 5 (you are brave!). The interior is so sparkly clean and service was 10/10. Recommend !!“
