“Teaneck Sushi House is absolutely fantastic! The sushi is always fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The menu has a great variety, from creative specialty rolls to classic favorites, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome every time. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in the area—I’ll keep coming back! 🍣👏
We did all you can eat for $30 not bad“

“So, this is a very authentic place. The food is always great, and the atmosphere is just real. It still has a human feel to it because it is local and small, which is why we keep going. Thank so much to the manage (the actual owner), and the staff who brings such a real and loving feel to the eating experience. Food is always amazing...“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“I highly recommend anyone reading this to come try! I wish I could give 10 stars. Make a resy. This was honestly one of the best dining omakase experiences!! But not only was the experience great, so was the food and drinks. Karina was very kind on explaining us the drink options, and finding us the perfect drink we would love. Her and the chef were also super kind on telling us every piece we were eating and where it was from. Alex was also such a great host. Always asking how everything was and also make great small talk, getting to know us. The food was such great quality also so it was well worth the omakase price. I also ordered their special which had Uni-Toro-Wagyu-HotateCaviar. It was DIVINE!!“

“We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Fushimi Restaurant! The food was delicious, from the appetizers we ordered to our main course. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. We also enjoyed a couple of drinks, which perfectly complemented our meal. What truly made our visit exceptional was the incredible service provided by our waitress, Ohmie. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Her warm demeanor and professionalism truly elevated our dining experience. We strongly recommend Fushimi Restaurant, especially because of the outstanding service we received from Ohmie. We’ll definitely be back!“

Every course is a masterpiece of flavor and presentation — from delicate slices of premium fish to perfectly balanced bites that melt in your mouth. One of the most refined sushi experiences in the city.

“The food was rich and flavorful. Some of the best eel, it was very tender. The sweet potato roll was crunchy and had so much flavor. The broth in the Ramen and Miso soup was not salty like most places and had a taste that complemented the dish.
The crunchy rice roll was the only dish that was average. It smelled much better than it tasted. The tuna and salmon tasted great but the actual fried portion on the rice was overpowering.“

“Fantastic Omakase sushi that's wonderfully precisely created and presented. We started with the 15 piece and ended with addons that blew the doors off (the Waygu was spectacular!). The service was attentive and immediate. Really great experience thank you so much!“

“Excellent AYCE (at least for 90 minutes) restaurant. The Diamond set left nothing to be desired for us. We ate tons of high quality Wagyu and seafood. It was fantastic. Our server Tom took great care of us and was always attentive and friendly.“

“You cannot beat their happy hour! Each piece of sushi is around double the size of your typical NYC piece. I also got the sushi tacos and those were fun and different from what I typically get. I also got a bottle of the cold sake. I will definitely be coming back here soon!“

“Exceptional. Sushi is our family’s favorite food, and we have been to well known sushi restaurants in LA, NYC, San Francisco, Miami, etc. No exaggeration; Butterfish stacks up against any of them. The chef’s creations were inventive yet simple, and Jojo and the rest of the staff took good care of us without hovering or lingering.“

“The food was generally salty. The first time I went, I ordered the eel rice bowl, but it was so salty that I thought I'd ruined my appetite after enjoying the other appetizers. The staff checked with me and said it was just salty that day. I got free ice cream instead. So today, I went for the hand rolls for the second time, and even the appetizers were a little salty. The hand rolls were delicious. The other dishes were fine, but they were a little salty. It wasn't just me; everyone I went with said the same thing.“

“Simplemente impresionante. No pensamos que algo así pudiera existir en NY. Los sabores propuestos son increíbles. El valor no está en las paredes o mobiliario, sino en lo que llevas a tu paladar y la atención personalísima, atenta y divertida. Gracias, gracias, gracias...“

“Such a great deal for the diner omakase
Super accommodating staff (we made a mistake to our reservation and they seamlessly welcomed us)
The chef (Moto-san?) is SUCH a gem, detailed, warm and sooo adorable 🥰
He even made a roll on the house for us
Great staff as well! Everyone was awesome

“Everything inside the bar from food to atmosphere was absolutely perfect! I expected this place to focus mainly on vibes and drinks but the food was actually one of the best I ever had. I personally love jazz and the two groups I saw perform were incredible! All the musicians were super into their performance and sounded great. Only thing I would say is to not be surprised by a 1-2hr wait in line (it was totally worth it for me though—I forgot about the wait once I was inside)“

“This was our second visit to Noz Market. They never fail to impress and satisfy. The cuts of fish are large and wrap all the way around the rice. The nigiri are seasoned perfectly, skillfully and with precision. The chefs here truly practice the art of sushi. The two omakase options are reasonably priced, and you can add extra pieces at the end of the experience. My Japanese fiancée emphatically approves, which should tell you what you need to know about this restaurant. Not too difficult to make a reservation a few weeks ahead of time, but definitely make one in advance. We will most certainly return.“

“A Hidden Gem Near Pod Hotel
We stumbled upon this cozy spot near our hotel and had an early dinner. The place was quiet at first, perfect for conversation, but it filled up quickly by the time we left.
Service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed their Platinum Sake, while my boyfriend tried the Japanese IPA—both excellent choices.
For starters, we had pork gyoza, edamame, and uni croquette. Each dish was comforting and satisfying. For mains, I went with the veggie curry rice from their specials—light, flavorful, and perfectly spicy. My boyfriend had udon soup with shrimp and egg, adding a bit of chili oil for an extra kick.
This was one of the best meals we’ve had in NYC, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for such high-quality food. It brought back fond memories of Japan.“

“A very popular spot smack dab in the middle of Midtown's financial district. Honestly quite reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. I got the Brooklyn set which came with a delectable pork katsu, two fried chicken karage pieces, potato salad, and a surprisingly hearty soup too. Would come back again, but maybe without the finance bros next time.“

“Amazing experience at Sushi Yasuda! My chef Moriyama from Kagoshima prefecture was perfect, a typical Kyushu man with a great personality and spectacular at serving up delicious sushi. My server Tsuzumi from Okinawa prefecure was also very attentive and did a fantastic job making sure we had everything that we needed. The whole team was amazing, I’ve eaten sushi in every corner of the world, including Japan, and I can safely say that Sushi Yasuda is up there with the best! Thank you again.“

“Absolutely loved our experience yesterday. The basic omakase was delicious at $38, no hidden charges, and staff were lovely. Only slightly minor quibble was everything seemed a bit rushed and a little less peaceful than other places I've been to, but fair enough at that price. I was also a bit surprised at the rudeness of a customer talking on her phone when the staff were trying to engage her. That's not the restaurant's fault but maybe worth having a sign about using phones less and being in the moment more?!“

“Oh my gosh the food was amazing. The atmosphere for a date night was a 10 out of 10. Such a gem in the neighborhood. The surf and turf hand roll was immaculate. Had the ex-wife roll and literally it was so many flavors at once I was surprised at the creativity. The host and serving staff were also very timely and very welcoming. We will definitely be coming again.“

“So, let's start with the ramen, I ordered the duck based one. The flavor was just not there and it was under seasoned. Had to add soy sauce because I found a hair in the salt container . I also ordered the beef skewers . Very low quality meat very chewy but I would expect it for 8usd for 2 skewers. The shitske was an extra 3.5 to add on my ramen . With green tea my meal was 32 USD. I expect a lot more for that price.“

“The environment is very good, the dishes are exquisite, the miso soup is great, and it is suitable for entertaining distinguished guests.
However, the premium is too high... nearly $100 per person is not enough to eat, so it is not cost-effective😓

“Authentic Japanese spot serving quality cuts at a fraction of the price of other places. Particularly enjoyed the salmon and tuna cuts as well as the takoyaki. “It's hard to find great food near Carnegie Hall that does not cost an arm in a leg. But looking online we saw how reasonably priced this place is. Little did we know that the place would be absolutely gorgeous and the wait staff would be so friendly, quick and efficient, despite being extremely busy. And the food was outta sight! Fresh and delicious. Definitely a keeper. I will go even if I am not on my way to Carnegie Hall!!!“

“Please disregard old reviews, the team has changed completely since a year or so and you have (for now) a 3 star restaurant disguised as a 2 star one. The menu we were offered today was a masterclass of flavors, textures, balance, originality and quality. I cannot recommend this place strongly enough. I would fly to New York from Europe again just to dine here again.“

“Small restaurant but big flavor.
The chicken teriyaki box is a great deal served fresh with fantastic flavor and came with so many delicious sides. I also tried a couple of sushi rolls and seems like you can't go wrong with any options. I haven't had fresh cuts of fish like that anywhere else! Definitely recommend!“
